A little over three weeks ago we invited all of you to join the special spooky festivities by taking part in our Happy Hauloween World of Trucks event. During this time, players were able to earn special rewards for completing a personal and community goal while hauling the unique Halloween Treats all over the in-game world.
As this was our first Halloween event, we were curious to know what the feedback will be, along with how much effort would the #BestCommunityEver be able to put into something fresh like this. Now, after everything is "said and done", we have to express our gratitude for the positive response that you’ve shown us. This view by most all of you was reflected in the amazing final stats that we would like to share with you. Great job everyone and thank you all for participating!
We truly hope you are enjoying the Swinging Bat dashboard toy and Pumpin Head hanging toy rewards. Even though Halloween itself is an extremely time-limited holiday, you can now drive across ETS2 and ATS with these accessories in your interior all year long!
Many of you also took to our social media channels to share with us photos and videos of your journeys and participation. We really enjoyed looking at them all and sharing some of them on our public profiles and our internal channels. It brings a lot of joy to our teams to see how much you enjoy these World of Trucks events.
Don’t worry, our plan is to keep bringing a Halloween event for the players in the upcoming years as well. But, that being said, it is time to look to the near future, so keep an eye out on our social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), to not miss any potential announcement of what is soon to come.

In celebration of the release of our Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator, and in the honor of the classic Wild West and Spaghetti Western movies, we are releasing a brand new paint job pack alongside the Texas DLC. These new additions are inspired by the legends, mythical figures, and the unique atmosphere of the genre, which means it will be a perfect fit while driving across the latest map expansion and vast prairies of the US.
Featuring five paint jobs for your mighty trucks and a single paint job for the trailer, wearing this new style will always make you look like the most capable person for the job when picking up the bounty... We mean, the cargo! So, grab your cowboy hat, saddle up, set out on the road, and start building up your own legendary reputation.
There will also be a World of Trucks event with unique rewards to be earned once you complete delivery to or from 15 different Texas cities and collectively as a community, drive 125,000,000 miles (201,168,000 km). Oh, and we also have one more gift for you! If you will take any External Contract or External Market job TO or FROM the city of Austin, you will earn an Armadillo plush toy, which can be used as a cabin accessory! The armadillo was voted as the Lone Star State Animal, because it possesses many remarkable and unique traits, some of which parallel the attributes that distinguish a true Texan, such as a deep respect and need for the land, the ability to change and adapt, and a fierce undying love for freedom.
We hope you enjoy the company after this cuddly little plush as you travel, deliver, and explore the tons of miles of roads in Texas. After all, it's always good to have a partner you can rely on when you're on the road.
Texas Release Live Stream
We would also like to invite you to a special Texas release stream, which will be broadcasted LIVE on our official Twitch channel from 16:00 CET.
This stream will feature an array of guests, including Annie (2D Artist), Saimon (Map DLC Lead), and a very special guest appearance from Pavel Šebor, CEO of SCS Software! We will be answering questions from the community, talking in-depth about the DLC, giving away some sweet gifts such as the amazing Thrustmaster® T248 American Truck Simulator limited edition steering wheel, Tobii Eye Tracker 5, Texas DLC Steam keys, and more; and of course, streaming the release of the highly anticipated map expansion LIVE on stream. You won't want to miss this!
One dry sunny day, an object appears on the horizon. Even from the edge of town, it remains blurred, but slowly and surely, it draws nearer. You hear the distant humming of an engine, which for some reason slowly builds tension in the air as it closes in. The approaching driver’s hand hovers over the steering wheel for a second before taking the last turn into the main street, providing a clear view for all. You look on, riveted to your spot, and the truck you see is decked out in a paint job that you’ve never seen before.
"Wee doggy, looks like there’s a new Paint Jobs Pack in town folks!"
In celebration of the release of our Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator, and in the honor of the classic Wild West and Spaghetti Western movies, we are going to introduce a brand new paint jobs pack tomorrow along with the Texas map expansion release.
So, grab your cowboy hat, saddle up, set out on the road, and get ready to start building up your own legendary reputation.
What do you think, partners? Will you give these new paint jobs a try? If so, we’d like to see your screenshots or videos which you can show us by tagging our official profiles on social media (Twitter,Instagram, Facebook,TikTok) and we’ll make sure to share the best ones. Until next time, keep on truckin'!
We were holding back a bit on using the phrase "everything is bigger in Texas" on our blog in the last couple of months but in this article, it seems impossible to just go ahead without bringing the famous quote up. As you will see, even the Special Transport missions will have to reflect this legendary saying!
You might be used to us introducing about 3-4 Special Transport routes in the previous map expansions. This time, due to the size of Texas, we have pretty much doubled our effort and there will be 7 new routes arriving with the DLC! As you probably know, these missions are designed with the intention of providing the players with an additional challenge, and we hope so many options will provide you with hours upon hours of entertainment.
These are the seven routes you can look forward to:
Corpus Christi to Brownsville
San Angelo to Dallas
Stockton to Abilene
Longview to Galveston
Del Rio to Van Horn
Lubbock to Odessa
Wichita Falls to Amarillo
Don’t forget, Texas is releasing next week on the 15th of November. Make sure to check out our release date announcement blog post which features an amazing video trailer that will surely hype you up for a journey across The Lone Star State. And, if by any chance you still need to add the DLC to your Steam Wishlist, visit the Steam page and do so now, as you will receive a notification once the expansion becomes available!
We are happy to announce that the 1.46 update for American Truck Simulator has been released and is now available on Steam. This update features bug fixes, changes and new content, which are featured below, so we recommend taking a read!
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated, provided their feedback, and made bug reports during the 1.46 Open Beta. Your valuable input helped us make tweaks, changes and smash some bugs we may have missed the first time around. We hope you can now begin to fully enjoy the fruit of your work.
Gallery
There’s a brand new feature for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. It is something that we’ve been working on for quite a while. Gallery is a new feature that contains a management solution for all images, photo trophies, and discovered viewpoints, while maintaining all legacy functionality of the Screenshot Manager.
Perhaps the most intriguing part awaits you with the addition of "Photo Trophies". You will be able to find these locations thanks to new map icons and capture them via Photo Mode. We have developed a new tracking system that will pop up whenever your camera will face the landmark using the mode.
Within Gallery you will also find Viewpoints, which not only offers a way for the player to be guided towards any undiscovered viewpoints but also serves as a platform for reviewing those which have already been discovered and played, allowing the player to view them again.
Finally, Gallery offers a fresh clean layout for previewing, sorting, and uploading your images to your World of Trucks Gallery and Profile truck slots. There's so many more little other features to explore and find in the Gallery, which we wrote a dedicated blogpost about recently!
If you'd like to learn more, head on over to it's dedicated blogpost which can be found here.
Company Browser
An exciting new feature for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 in the 1.46 update is the Company Browser. This new in-game browser allows players to search for specific types of companies, cargoes and/or trailer types. This means that if you are waiting for any of the examples mentioned in the previous sentence, you can easily check if such a thing even exists within the game!
So, if you are curious about which cargo you can theoretically haul for example between Bellingham and Nogales or even Eureka to Burlington, the company browser will achieve just that!
We look forward to seeing you use this new feature, as we know it will prove helpful for a lot of drivers! Let us know your thoughts and feedback on our social media channels and forums.
Ownable Cisterns - Chemical Trailers
Today we are happy to share with you the next addition to our ownable cistern collection, Chemical Trailers!
These tankers are designed to transport a variety of chemicals including acidic, toxic, or corrosive liquid products. These cargo types include Hydrochloric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Pesticides, Mercuric Chloride and more, so careful driving is highly recommended.
he ATS Cistern include 3 chassis types (43ft 2 axle, 48ft 3 axle and 53ft, 4 axle) which are single chain. It will also come 2 body types (chrome or paintable) and with a variety of accessories and customizations which include:
Chassis type
Paintjobs (base and DLC)
Markers
Rear bumpers
Mudflaps
and other accessories such as (hoses, tool boxes, extinguishers etc
We are excited to see you hauling these new chemical trailers in your company and how you will customize them!
US-20
We are happy to share that the US-20, located between Idaho and Montana will be arriving as a free update for owners of the DLCs. This highway has been highly requested by you, our #BestCommunityEver, since Montana's release.
This important connection allows drivers to drive between Idaho Falls, ID, and the settlement of West Yellowstone in Montana. West Yellowstone is also home to a tourist center, located just outside the west gate to the Yellowstone Natl. Park. This also gives players traveling from Idaho state an option to travel to the Yellowstone National Park as well as connect with US-191 which is a popular trucking route in the area.
We hope you enjoy exploring this new road along with the beautiful views that come along with it. And who knows, maybe you will find a new achievement over there as well.
Custom City Intros
Recently, we introduced a new experimental feature in ETS2 and ATS - the custom city introductions. Thanks to the positive feedback that we have seen from the community, we are glad to let you know that we have expanded this feature!
These special cutscenes appear when a player selects a starting city when creating a new profile and, as you may know, they are currently available only for the cities of Austria and the city of Hanover in Euro Truck Simulator 2. However, this feature can now be found in the world of American Truck Simulator also!
New players will have the opportunity to watch one of these awesome cutscenes when selecting their first city that has a garage in Colorado and Wyoming map expansions.
So, what do you think? Should we keep working on the custom city introductions? If so, let us know!
Idaho Viewpoints Redesign
We went back and updated the viewpoints of Idaho DLC to better reflect our current standard of their length, pace and camera movement. They are now generally more polished and on par in terms of quality with their more modern siblings from newer map expansions.
Driveshaft Torque
We are always doing our best to make the trucking experience within our games as realistic as possible, and that is exactly the reason why this new addition, which can be turned on in the settings, is arriving into the world of ATS. This feature simulates the spinning of the chassis during acceleration, which results in a slight lift of the front left wheel. This effect is more visible on American trucks due to them being longer.

We know you have all been waiting for this moment and now, with the Texas DLC slowly approaching the finish line, we can officially announce the release date for this so far biggest map addition to American Truck Simulator we ever created.
Texas is due to be released on November 15th, 2022
Even though this announcement itself brought up your hype meter to the maximum limit, we are afraid it’s going to break completely as we have also prepared a wonderful trailer as well. So, check out this showcase of natural beauty and industrial areas arriving in the map expansion!
As always, we will host a special release live stream on our Twitch channel on the day of the release. You can look forward to special guests, giveaways, and the possibility of some special surprises, along with the famous push of the big red button at the end of the stream. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!
And a little side-note to our friendly content creators - in the coming days we will be sending out some Early Access keys so make sure to keep an eye out on your mail inbox. If you will be selected, we hope your faithful viewers will enjoy the sneak peek into what they can expect from this DLC once they get their hands on it. Who would you like to see drive across Texas before the official release?
Let us know if you are excited about the release of Texas by tagging us on social media (Twitter,Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) or leaving us a comment right here on the blog. Also, if you add the DLC to your Steam Wishlist, in addition to supporting our work, you will also be notified upon the release! We’ll see you on the roads of The Lone Star State!
Austin, the Lone Star State’s capital, offering both the best of Southern charm and city attractions, but that just skims the surface of what drivers visiting the city in our upcoming Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator can discover.
Cruising along the I-35, drivers will be greeted with a view of all the major skyscrapers that downtown Austin has to offer, as well as the Mike Myers and DKR Texas Memorial Stadiums. With the continual growth and development of this city, cranes can be spotted all across the skyline creating new buildings and infrastructure.
With big cities come complex road networks, and Austin is no exception. Players travelling on the Monarch Hwy will come across a large five level interchange where the I-35 and U2-290 meet. This spaghetti like junction can be quite confusing, so be sure to follow your GPS. You may even find yourself travelling over the Colorado River as you travel between the southern and northern parts of the city.
Austin is booming with businesses small and large and drivers will be able to deliver to 10 different depots spread across into 3 industry areas in the city. No matter what cargo you are haulin', we sure do recommend taking the time to explore all that the capital has to offer, especially as almost every frontage road in Austin is open for players to drive down!
We recommend sticking around Austin for a while, so why not consider making it a location for your newest garage? It's a prime location for contracts and comes with a lovely view of the downtown area. We can't wait for you to finally visit.
Of course, this just a small part of what the HUGE state of Texas has to offer for drivers, and we can't wait for you to visit. Be sure to add Texas to your Steam Wishlist to stay in the know of its release and potential future sales. Until then, stay weird Austin!
The month of October is behind us and it is now time to wrap up this year’s #Pinktober2022 campaign. As we promised in our previous blog post, we will provide you with some additional information along with the amount that has been raised over the year.
Throughout the entire month, we were doing our best to spread awareness among our community about this terrible disease by hosting a live stream on our Twitch channel and frequently sharing reminders on our social media. We’d like to thank everybody who joined this year’s campaign by tuning in to the broadcast or by sharing a kind message on their social media profiles using the special paint jobs contained in the DLCs. These might be small steps, but they are an important part of the ongoing battle.
Our effort was reflected internally within SCS as well by hosting an hour-long session with representatives from the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer charity organization. We are glad that so many of our colleagues attended this lecture and we truly hope that through them the message will carry on to those who might eventually find it useful.
Thanks to the amazing support from the #BestCommunityEver, the total amount gathered from the sales of the Pink Ribbon paint job packs is 47,000 USD! This sum is absolutely incredible and we thank each and every single one of you. We hope that donating the entire sum to the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer will make a great difference to those in need.
But don’t forget, you are free to support this, or any other organization throughout the whole year. Most importantly, however, donations are only one of the ways to join the fight. Spreading awareness, and reminding those you hold dear of the importance of regular health checks is what matters the most. Our health should always have the top priority and all of this information is something that all of us should keep in mind.
Happy Hauloween, Happy Hauloween, Happy happy...stop! And so it has been said, I’m told, That there are some of you so bold To speak of one point four six woes For goodness sake, we did not knows That there might be, oh, such a clash! Oh my, oh wow, now we must dash To fix this all and do it fast Extend our Hauloween to last Until such time that you’re all done With testing of our beta one Point four six, yes! That is the feat, Then hauling treats for all to eat! It’s cool, it's great, and all will see What fun that Hauloween can be!
To our #BestCommunityEver, we would like to offer our sincere apologies if we caused any concerns to those who are currently testing our Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator 1.46 Open Beta. We now realise that for many of you, reverting back to your 1.45 game saves in order to take part in our Happy Hauloween event was far from a desirable solution and, moreover, was an avoidable consequence that should not have happened. In this way, we intend to extend the event well past the 1.46 Open Beta testing closure date, so that everyone will be able to continue to take part in the event using 1.46 also.
Thank you all for your guidance and valuable feedback!
If you ever plan to motor west, get your kicks on route 66! This Historic Highway was one of the first to span across the Midwest, Great Plains, and Southwest; and is arguably the United States' most famous stretch of road. So buckle up! It's time to take a trip down a portion of this iconic route in our upcoming Texas DLC for American Truck Simulator.
One of the first stretches of Route 66 can be found alongside the I-40 between San Jon and Glenrio, which is around 15 miles long. This section of the route is mostly dirt road, featuring historic relics of the past along the way, including old wooden bridges and the now ghost town of Endee. The off-road portion of the route ends in the now empty town of Glenrio; which until the 1970's, was a popular stop for travellers, until the newer highway bypassed the town. It now remains home to only the critters and the blowing tumbleweeds of the vast prairie.
Continuing further east, travellers will come across one of the most famous locations of Route 66, the midpoint marker which can be found in the town of Adrian in Texas. From this point, it is the same distance to Chicago (Midwest) as it is Los Angeles (West Coast). Here you can also find the Midpoint Cafe, which today is still a famous stop-off point for many weary and hungry travellers.
Another stop which hungry travellers making along this route is The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, world famous for its 72oz (2kg) steak challenge. Since its opening in 1960, the Big Texan has become a must stop on Route 66. With its distinctive architecture, it was originally placed along the mother road, but had to make the decision to relocate closer to the I-40 when the historical highway was bypassed. Today it still stands decorated with old Route 66 signage and photos and is visited by thousands of passing travellers.
And for our final stop, come and visit the one and only Cadillac Ranch! Step right up and see ten vehicles buried nose-down in a field at the same angle as the Pyramids of Giza. Confusing travellers in since 1974, it continues to be a popular attraction for many. Since it's opening, visitors have been encouraged to contribute to the public art by spray painting their own designs on the Cadillacs; thus creating an ever changing art piece. Today, spray paint can be found as far as the road itself, making the whole area quite colourful!
Won't you get hip to this timely tip, when you finally make that Texas trip? What might you find on this old road of the nation, from restaurants to art installations. Enjoy the ride as you pass buildings with old bricks, and we are sure, you'll have a great time when you get your kicks, on route sixty-six.
