Gemstar’s Cut: Crusader by Uncanny Gemstar

This crusader rework is intended to be a boost towards the supportive options available to crusader, as well as making him generally more flexible. While a consistent option in base game, he feels somewhat lackluster at performing offensively or supportively solely, outside of the very powerful Holy Lance. This hopes to rebalance crusaders support skills to be more useful compared to vestal, and to buff his less-used skills. Additionally, to make holy lance less powerful and more internally consistent.

Week 61: Mod Showcase

Darkest Dungeon® - RedHookNatisha

Cho’s Hero Reworks by ショゲクス

This is a collection of mods in a single mod that reworks every single hero in one big mod.

The main goal of each rework has been to bring skills within a hero's skillset closer together in power. Most used skills have seen nerfs and less used skills buffs and/or entire reworks.

Some of the more notable changes include:

* Antiquarian can't find antiques at lvl 5; instead her skills and stats gain significant buffs
* Big DoT skills have had their scaling changed from ~50% dmg increase to 100%, which is more in line with how small DoTs scale (1-3 vs 4-6 in vanilla reworked to 2-4 vs 4-8)
* Some Marks now tick down at the end of a round rather than each action
* Highwayman attacks twice each round
* Abomination works like all other heroes, no more transformation

The Boatswain by Reebalt

Boatswain demands the most out of his crewmates but gives twice as much in return. In spite of his harsh way of being, if you look close, you can still see sparks in the eyes of a man who went through more than anyone ever should.

Boatswain is a mobile, aggressive support class that specializes in shuffling the enemy team, making sure that the main damage dealers can deliver killing blows to the right targets.
He can also dish out damage on his own when situated in the front row as well as bolster a party's survivability via buffing and guarding.
His most powerful skills revolve around stressing the party out, thus consider bringing adequate trinkets or appropriate classes to fit his team.

Mr Pepper’s Arbalest Rework by Mr.Pepper

The purpose of this mod is to solidify Arbalest as a support hero while still making her a great pick for mark teams. She can now tank directly attacks from the enemies thanks to her unique guard and indirectly through self marking. Her omnirange and multifuction mark isn't the only way for her to set up for other, she can also enter a combat long riposte that mark and debuff monsters that dare hit her. This rework comes with 2 entirely new skills.

The Commandant by Comrade, 54NBB, Hunting Slime

The Commandant is a veteran of a thousand battles. From the trenches to the brutal urban cities, he has seen the best and the worst that war has to offer, accumulating medals and scars to prove it. Now, empowered by war itself and with the power to shape the very blood soaked soil of the battlefield, he has come to the Hamlet, seeking rumors even greater sources of power to harness and serve his country.

The Commanant is a mid rank offensive support focusing on offense and battlefield manipulation, able to reshape the enemy positioning at a whim, wearing them down in a constant barrage of steel and gunpowder while empowering his allies through a variety of means. As a commander is more than a mere common soldier, the Commandant lacks easily accessible damage and sustain and is not suited for direct combat. However, with proper preparation and set up, he can bring the pain with a barrage of cannon shell, wiping out the enemy in one master stroke.

Welcome to the second class in a series of class mods called Class Variety Project. Banner Bearer is a support class who mainly buffs and stress heals his allies with some options to deal damage.
Being a commander, he'll be able to give orders to make his allies fight harder while also keeping them in battle longer by keeping their head cool.
He'll also be able to pressure his enemies by using his loyal Bannermen under his command.
During camping he can rely on his fellow Bannermen.

The Great Monster Mash Mix Up by Dies Horribly

Something is not right with the stars. Forces beyond our ken are building, causing the horrors of the Estate to grow ever more restless and dangerous. What's worse, the miasma of the Farmstead is seeping out, bringing the crystalline corruption with it! Why? Why did we have to breach that damnable seal!?

This mod is what the name implies, a monster mash mod that mixes up the vanilla enemies (including snakes and, once the Farmstead is entered, Husks) into a myriad of brand new hand-made monster parties that now populate the basic four dungeons as well as the Endless Harvest. The mashes included are tricky, stronger, and much more varied than the old faithfuls, but without straying too far from the core themes. Loading screen tips will be provided to keep you from being caught entirely off-guard.

Here Be Monsters is a series of mods that will add dozens of new enemies and trinkets to Darkest Dungeon. This is an ongoing project that will periodically update as new enemies are released. The enemies have varied mechanics and diverse movesets that bring added challenge to your game. Each enemy included in the mod includes at least one rare trinket that they may leave on death, with minibosses having more. 14 enemies are currently included in the mod, with many more well on the way!

Female Abomination Skin by Dinosaur Nerd

This is pretty simply an abomination skin that allows for equal opportunity employment
for she-beasts seeking to earn gold and glory in the darkest hamlet alongside other
brave adventurers! This does not alter gameplay in any way, and is simply artwork.

I created this to practice my own artwork and try to improve shading in particular,
though I also wanted to practice some anatomy and such. It was quite a task to try
to mimic the red hook style of artwork, and hopefully this captures the right aesthetic.

The Orphaned Thief by Blue Skies Above

The Orphaned Thief functions much the same as a Grave Robber, dancing back with stealth and lunging forward for massive damage. She comes equipped with a few new skills and can debuff enemies with her spectral cat.

The Corsair is an all new class mod for Darkest Dungeon. An infamous pirate warlord, the Corsair has arrived to expand her criminal empire and claim whatever riches may lie here. She is a nimble and powerful damage dealer, with a variety of exotic weapons and tactics at her disposal allowing her to inflict devastating damage and bleeds. She compensates this by being rather frail, having a relatively low HP pool. She has fully original assets, including sprites, animations, and sounds.

"The notorious Corsair is a terrifying combatant, dancing between enemy blades untouched and lashing out from the shadows. She dashes across the battlefield like a ghost, setting herself up to inflict devastating damage with her arsenal, disrupting and weakening her opponents to her deadly blows!"

The Illuminator is a mid to frontline warrior/support. Some of his moves are powerful but melt his hp in higher amounts of light while others do different things depending on the light level. Calling upon the light he can use a powerful & cleansing self heal at the cost of stunning himself. When camping he can comfort the party and himself as well as produce more Prayer Candles that buff a singular hero for a battle.

The Golem by Ooh Ah, S-Purple, Uncanny Gemstar

"A hulking juggernaut from beyond the stars, ready to fight. The golem wields the ancient armor of a long dead hero to terrifying results, able to destroy any enemy in her path with splintering strikes and able to shake off even the mightiest of blows with her bulky armor."

The Golem is a front line self sustaining tank. Because of her strange biology the Golem is immune to diseases, has a high resistance to blight and bleed, but will receive no healing from any source other than her own abilities. This comes in form of her innate disease, that will be applied the first time Golem uses any move and cannot be gotten rid of afterwards, Metal Body.

A wayward serpent hailing from far off lands, the Viper has come to the Hamlet, both in search of refuge, and for relief from her affliction. She serves as a fairly-frail damage dealer, capable of more stationary or mobile combat. Due to the nature of her visage, the Shieldbreaker remains deathly afraid of her, and will refuse to join her on expeditions. Regardless, she should remain invaluable in combat.
