Artfully painted wooden puppets are totally in vogue right now in Atreia: Matryoshkas bring you exquisite items when you upgrade them! But make sure you don't break them.


Look forward to fine rewards such as the [Event] Ultimate PvE Enchantment Stone, the [Event] Ultimate PvP Enchantment Stone, the [Event] Legendary Transformation Contract (10 types), the [Event] Daevanion Essence and the [Event] Ice Jewels.






There are three ways of getting Matryoshka puppets:

• Earn two +1 Matryoshkas daily by completing quests.
• Receive +1 Matryoshkas as loot from instances.
• Grab +1 Matryoshkas in the AION Shop.

In the instances and on the quests, the chance of loot will vary. Each player in their group will receive loot.


Double-click the Matryoshkas in your inventory to upgrade them. They will either increase by one to three levels, or they will be destroyed. If they are destroyed, there's no need to be sad because you can exchanged ten broken puppets for a +1 Matryoshka and try the upgrade again.


This is how the Matryoshka upgrades are arranged:

• Upgrade from level 4 to 5: You have a chance to receive the White Matryoshka
• Upgrade from level 6 to 7: You have a chance to receive the Matryoshka's Gratitude or the White Matryoshka
• Upgrade to level 8: You have a chance to receive the Matryoshka's Gratitude or the White Matryoshka
• Upgrade to level 9: You have a chance to receive the Matryoshka's Luck

If you managed to upgrade your Matryoshka to level 10, you'll receive the items White Matryoshka and Magic Dye. Combine the two and you'll receive the bundle Magic Matryoshka as a final reward!


If you need additional Magic Dye, you can find some in the AION Shop.

Atreia will soon be flecked with colour: the new update brings the Painter, the long-awaited class specialisation for the Artist.


Colour me happy: armed with their mighty Paint Rings, the Painter uses the power of Aether Colours and wipes the floor with their foes by shooting them with colourful projectiles. But that’s not all they can do – so stay tuned!

Master the Missions in Stella Development Laboratory!


Stop the outlaws, free the Stella Development Laboratory and clean up on rewards! You will be able to enter the lab in the Stella Industrial Site with up to 5 players from level 80 on. Make arrangements with your friends and try the two difficulties out together: both offer different rewards.

• Two further Lugbug missions are ready for you, which offer the chance at some valuable rewards upon completion.
• The Tower of Challenge also has a new difficulty and a new seasonal ranking list.

• Only the toughest get into the garden: a true challenge comes in the form of the boss monster that you have to beat in the hard mode of Prometun's Workshop. But don't worry, the normal mode is now a little easier.

The Black Cloud Merchants are again running their popular Shugo Game in which you can win valuable prizes – including the following items:


The [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract (7 types), [Rune] Selection Box of Ancient Transformation Contracts (18 types), the Daevanion Skill Chest (10 types), the Battle-hardened Admiral's Robe and the Noble Tailcoat.





To take part, you will need Shugo Game Tokens, which you can purchase in the shop from 17/7. During the event period you will receive three Shugo Game Tokens for free in the AION Shop.

• Open the Shugo Game by clicking on the Shugo symbol at the bottom-right side of the screen.
• Then, by clicking on 'Continue', the game will start and a Shugo Game Token will be used up.
• Try to upgrade the weapon to the maximum level (8) to then earn reward of the highest level.
• Naturally you can click on 'Stop' at any time to end the game and collect the reward for the level that you have attained.
• The upgrading can also fail. Should this happen, you will receive the reward for level 1. If you wish to start from the beginning, you will need another Shugo Game Token.
• By using Shugo Game Tokens, the upper bar fills with Shugo Game Points. Once it is full, the Nyerk Fever begins. As long as this is active, your chances of successfully upgrading increase and it is more likely that you will win more valuable prizes.

Notes:

• You will automatically be given the prize for the level that you got to if you log out or switch to a different character while participating in the Shugo Game. The game cannot be continued.
• If you reach level 6 or higher and the upgrade fails, you will be able to use two additional Shugo Game Tokens to try again from the level that you failed at.
• The event items will be removed from the game once the event completes with the next server maintenance on 31/7.

Our QA team has encountered a few functional issues that could prevent our players from enjoying the 7.0 update to the fullest. Given how some of these bugs were labeled as critical, we made the decision to push the release date back a bit further than what was initially planned.

The 7.0 update won’t be released on the 10th of July, as Production pipelines currently indicate that July 24th will be our new release date. It is as important for us as it is to our community that we deliver the update in the best possible conditions, but sadly, we are not quite there just yet.

The Daeva Race on the Treasure Island of Courage is known for being the hardest in all of Atreia. In this merciless and now even more challenging parcours, three Elyos go up against three Asmodians. The runners hit the Start line with special abilities and have to use these wisely to overcome their opponents. The course includes a number of hurdles, passes some sneaky traps and through some difficult terrain, often forcing brave participants to take to the sky or to make use of mounts.


Alongside fame and recognition there are some fantastic prizes waiting at the finish, including the [Rune] Ultimate PvE Enchantment Stone, the [Rune] Ultimate PvP Enchantment Stone, the [Rune] Legendary Transformation Contract (10 types), the [Rune] Ancient Transformation Contract: (18 types) and the Daevanion Skill Chest (10 types).





Enter the Treasure Island of Courage instance between 3/7 and 17/7 and register for the competition using the integrated instance server. As soon as three players of each faction are present, the race begins.


Every team member sets their competition class prior to the big race. Select the class according to your tactics:


Hook Class
Abilities: Frenzy, Restraining Chains, Fear Bomb, Gripping Chains


Trap Class
Abilities: Gripping Hand, Frenzy, Binding Hand, Paralysis Breath


Shield Class
Abilities: Frozen Harpoon, Swiftwing, Frost Barrier, Remove Shock


The race comprises one round and is split into 4 sections. It is no easy task!


Section 1: Overcome the hurdles and watch out for traps.
Section 2: Spread out your wings and fly through the storm with poor sightlines.
Section 3: Use a mount but watch out for the bombs.
Section 4: There are deep chasms, spiders and zombies lurking here.


Your team receives points when it is in the lead and of course, if it wins. Every runner on the winning team receives three keys. In the event of a draw, all runners receive one key. The members of the losing team also receive a key.


One of the received keys can be used to open the Regular Treasure Chest. The two Magnificent Treasure Chests can only be opened with special keys. You can get this from the Regular Treasure Chest or from the AION Shop. The Class A Magnificent Treasure Chest requires 5 of the special keys and 10 for the Class S Magnificent Treasure Chest.


The chests contain a corresponding bundle. You can see which great items are contained in the bundles in our list of rewards.


Note: the event items will be removed from the game on 24/7.

Explore and conquer a new land!

Take the teleporter in Lakrum and travel to Dumaha: there you will stand by the side of the Stella Corporation in Balaurea as they make their claim against the Snuwa. Enjoy some exciting quests and challenging missions.

In Dumaha you will encounter some mean raid monsters who bear some valuable items. Additionally there are some exciting fortress battles in which a wide variety of rewards can be attained. Will you be able to bring peace to Dumaha?




Dive into thrilling PvP battles!

Storm into the battle for Dumaha: you’ll have a chance twice a day (at 12 PM and 8 PM) to really take it to your foes in Altar Siege battles and in doing so, pick up rewards in the form of legendary or ultimate Enchantment Stones!

The siege is divided into the battle for Ara Minima, the Ara Mediocra and the Ara Magna. The faction that takes the Snuwa Head Priest first conquers the altar.




There is no escaping this place!

The Gold Arena is back: fight in exciting 3 versus 3 battles and show you enemies just how strong and well-trained you are!

A total of 8 teams face up against each other in the Gold Arena. As soon as there is a winner the battles will be ended and all teams will receive enticing rewards matching their result. Will you be one of them?


Boost your Character!

Receive new buffs that can be used together with a transformation in the Gold Arena and in the Tower of Challenge. Look forward to the Flame Blessing and the Bitter Ice Blessing! With a character buffed this strong, nothing can stand in your way!

AION’s brand new update 7.0 is set to start on 10/7/2019 – bringing with it a wide variety of fresh content and all kinds of fun and action!

Alongside the many game improvements, AION 7.0 offers two additional instances as well as a new class specialisation for the Artist. In this news we’re providing the background to the three big additions coming with the update:


Colourful action with the new Artist specialisation

Irunin, the first Painter in Atreia, created the Aether Colours a long time ago with Siel’s help. Only the most gifted of students got to learn his arts. Once Siel sacrificed himself in the Cataclysm, Irunin disappeared under mysterious circumstances and the Painters were left behind, without no direction to follow. Finally, on the Day of the Storm, chaos broke out anew in Atreia and countless Painters gave their lives saving innocents. It is to the merit of these heroes that the specialisation of Painter is now officially recognised.


Thrilling combat in the Altar Siege Battle

Tiamat, who has taken Apsu’s place as Dragon Lord in Dumaha, has turned the once fruitful region to a barren waste. The Snuwa managed to resist being driven out of Dumaha and are protecting their Apsu Altars, which they have established across the land. The Stella Corporation is intent on developing Dumaha and returning it to its once fruitful glory, yet the Snuwa stand against this. Now it is up to the Daeva to bring peace back to the region.




Brand new PvE instance complete with exciting missions

The Stella Development Laboratory is a giant building, in which the main products of the Stella Corporation are made and processed. Reports came in to the Daeva that outlaws have forced their way into the laboratory. But the waste in the lab made the criminals lose their minds, making for untold chaos in the laboratory. The security system had been activated, yet the situation has been out of control for some time.

Greetings, Daeva!

As you will likely have already heard in our latest episode of The Daeva’s Tavern, we will be stopping the support of three of our game languages with update 7.0: Italian, Polish and Spanish.


If you currently play AION in Italian, Polish and Spanish, please select a different language once update 7.0 starts. The translations of old game content in these languages will be removed with the update. The news on our website will for now continue to be available in all languages. The same applies for the forum and our Support, who will respond to questions from players in all the usual languages as before.


The decision to halt three of our game languages is unfortunately necessary: AION is currently being played by fewer players than it was a few years ago. The translation of regular and extensive updates into six languages demands a lot of time as well as a lot of our resources and we have decided that these would be better placed elsewhere. We want to continually improve the quality and game experience in AION.

We believe that halting part of the translation will help us to reach our aim of getting updates and patches that are already available in Korea to our European players faster. Additionally this provides us with resources that we wish to use to test new game content from Korea. This gives us the chance to drastically reduce the amount of bugs and problems that arise in events and permanent features.

This change allowed us to complete the coming update much faster than usual. We are convinced that we can use this to provide you with some fantastic updates in the coming years.
