AION presents a host of improvements and innovations with update 5.8, coming 7th February. Alongside the Divine Fortress, you can also look forward to two new instances: discover the Holy Tower and the Mirash Refuge!

After Ereshkigal vanished from Makarna, the Divine Fortress was sealed by the magical ice. As Ereshkigal took Sakrapes and rose again, it had a supernatural influence on the Divine Fortress. Elyos and Asmodians armed themselves with a weapon that is to break the magical seal and headed out to the Divine Fortress with their fleets.

• For up to 6 brave players
• Minimum level: 66
• Can be reached from the Landing Site in the Upper Abyss (Elyos: Magos / Asmodian: Tokanu Landing)

With the Divine Fortress as the central point, the Brigade General Nergal guards the symbol of the Ereshkigal Legion and the tower that ensures his strength. Elyos and Asmodians who heard of Ereshkigal’s resurrection had to fight long and hard along the path to the core. They realised that Ereshkigal’s dark influence is so strong in this region that not flying nor further forward march would be possible.

• For solo players
• Minimum level: 66
• The faction that conquers the Divine Fortress can reach this instance through the entrance within the Fortress

Elyos and Asmodians were able to take the Divine Fortress and then found out that the once-thought dead Oris was guarding the Fortress as Brigade General. Whilst they investigated this mystery, they discovered a secret area within the Fortress. Elyos and Asmodians discovered that the ancient Fallusha had resurrected dead minions through summoning rituals. They need to stop the ritual, to prevent Ereshkigal’s influence from spreading further.

As a new or returning player, get worthwhile gifts from 24/1 to 7/2:


Are you a new player who has registered within a maximum of 30 days, or have you not visited Atreia in 30 days or more? Then visit Kata and Pata in the starting areas and the capitals. They'll give you items that will be of great use to you on your future adventures.


Kata and Pata will give you buffs, transformation candies as well as a reward bundle with armour pieces, headwear, weapons, wings, and an exclusive title.


New players can look forward to additional buffs as well as the Twin's Gift, which grants you useful items according to your game progress. You will be rewarded for reaching the following levels: 1, 10, 14, 18, 22, 24, 28, 32, 38, 49, 53, 59, 62, 65.

Please note that the twin’s gifts is only available for characters from level 1 to 20. You won't be able to open it after the level 20.

There’s some great items to be had, such as Box containing Twins' Mounts, the Martial Arts Set (7 days), the Magnificent Phoenix Feather, the Bundle of Daeva Manastones and much more.


Returning players will receive a chest for level 65 characters which will remain in their inventory for 30 days. If you manage to get to level 65 within this time and then open this chest, you will be able to look forward to items that are of even higher quality. Additionally, Reta is here for you if you want to teleport quickly to another instance.


Special potions will be dropping in many areas during the event too, immediately giving you either 1%, 3% or 10% of the experience points needed for your next level!

• Increases the maximum HP and MP by 240
• Increases the HP regeneration by 12 and MP regeneration by 18

Show everyone what you've got! Playing thrilling battles in PvP/PvE also lets you earn high-quality items such as the 100% Mighty Manastone Socketing Aid, the Minionite Bundle and the Magic Stone of Level Reduction.

Feathers, armbands and accessories can be upgraded using the Holy Upgrade Serum while Estimas can be upgraded with the All-Powerful Enchantment Stone.


From 18/1/2018 you can purchase additional Holy Upgrade Serum in the AION shop - and get All-Powerful Enchantment Stone packs too.


Upgrading your items to levels 2 to 9 will earn you numerous useful items – no matter how often you reach these levels. If you manage to upgrade your items from level 9 to 10, there is a special reward.
