Howdy Hunters!
It brings me great pleasure to introduce to you the Halloween 2020 Event! Once again, darkness has fallen over Timbergold Trails, the time has frozen and Werewolves are on the loose! Like last year, you will be able to taxidermy the Werewolves and choose to sell them for gm$, and if you do, you will be rewarded with twice the amount of gm$!

If you are lucky enough, you might also spot a ghostly looking Albino Werewolf!


The event takes place in the Timbergold Trails reserve and lasts 7 days, with the Werewolf being huntable during the whole period.

START: Wednesday, October the 28th 12:00 am (midnight) GMT
END: Tuesday, November the 3rd, 12:00 am (midnight) GMT


The ‘Wolfsbane’ .308 Handgun, ‘Wolfsbane’ Crossbow Pistol, and their Silver Ammunition are essential for hunting the Werewolf, as you won't be able to take him down without them.
Both can be found in the store, the ‘Wolfsbane” .308 Handgun has a very generous 90% discount applied to it, however, the ‘Wolfsbane” Crossbow Pistol will remain a premium item.



In order to be effective against werewolves, these weapons need Silver Ammunition, which you will also find in the store together with some nicely themed items to go along with the event.


Our Halloween mission is called TheHunter Classic Halloween Quest and will award the following prizes throughout completion:

• 666 gm$
  
• Two Person Tree Stand (Forest Camo Mesh)
  
• Ritual of Skulls Trophy
  
• 100 Skull$ points

The Halloween 2020 campaign will run for the whole duration of the event.

How do you win the Halloween 2020 Campaign? The winners will be determined by Skull$ collected, and here's how to get them.
We have collectibles again this year, skulls. Each skull is worth a different amount of points (Skull$), with the rarest skulls being worth the most:




As well as finding Collectable Skulls there are also other ways to gather Skull$ points:


On top of all this, there are 4 competitions that will be available throughout the event, each has a Halloween theme to it and all of them have some nice amounts of em$ to be won.
All the competitions will run for 72 hours each and overlap each other to some extent (see the calendar below), all can be found in the Competitions tab once the event starts.

Together with the 'Wolfsbane' .308 Handgun discounted by 90%, a wide selection of items will be on sale during the Halloween 2020 event.
Every few days a new batch of items will be discounted and stay on sale only for a few days, typically when competitions start and end - so make sure you check the store often!


Last but not least we are glad to announce that we are making four new, frightening trophy shot poses available for the Werewolf. These poses will only be available during the Halloween event, so be sure to get them while you can!

We have just released a patch with a few fixes.

Here's the changelog:


✅ Fixed an issue where some animals fell through the ground during trophy shot mode.

✅ Fixed a bug where some animals could not be rotated in trophy shot mode when using predefined poses.

✅ Fixed a bug where a player might see another player moving in some weird pose while in trophy shot mode, in a multiplayer game.

✅ Fixed a bug where the Albino Female Moose would look like a normal one in a Trophy Lodge.

✅ Few minor fixes in missions and competitions. Thank you for your feedback and please continue to send it, we are on a mission (excuse the pun!) to fix them all!


✅ People were able to download the free equipment DLC on Steam multiple times by using multiple Steam accounts. This is now fixed, any theHunter Classic account can only download the DLC once.

✅ The outline of deployable items could be exploited to see animals far away through the environment. This is now fixed and cannot be used as an advantage any longer.

Today, we are announcing something that was long overdue and will spend a few moments to talk about it.
At the end of 2019, Expansive Worlds and Ringtail Studios, a long-term business partner of Avalanche Studios Group, began discussing and working together with the intention of continuing the development and support of theHunter Classic. Almost a year later, we can say that this collaboration has grown and exceeded our expectations.

Frankly, it's a big part of the reason why we have been able to continue to improve and add new things to theHunter Classic. We hope you agree!

As you might expect, this is only the beginning of our collaboration. The list of improvements and additions planned for theHunter Classic is still very long, and the development team is committed to working closely with you, our very dedicated game community, to shape the future of your favorite game.

Today we are proud to deliver a cool new feature to you: animal trophy shot poses!
No need to spend precious hunting time trying to get that perfect pose for your trophy shot anymore!
Initially, animal trophy shot poses are available for 6 animals:

✅ Turkey
✅ Feral Hog
✅ Moose
✅ Red Deer
✅ Roosevelt Elk
✅ Whitetail Deer

Based on community feedback we will then evaluate whether to implement trophy shot poses for other animals.

Animals posed in ragdoll mode in your trophy shot now do not reset when switching between Camera and Edit mode.
To reset the ragdoll you need to press the Backspace button. Hopefully, this will help to make the trophy shot process a little easier.
