CHANGES AND UPDATES
Changes to Demolition Audio
To help players separate when an opponent is demolished and when a teammate goes BOOM! during fast-paced matches, we’ve added an audible ping to the explosion audio when opponents demolish one of your teammates.
Volume for this new audio cue is tied to the Gameplay slider under Settings -> Audio.
Audio when you or a teammate demolishes an opponent is unchanged.
Timestamps in Chat
We’ve added timestamps to Text Chat and Quick Chats across all online and offline matches and modes.
Timestamps will mirror the in-game timer according to the match type.
For example, timestamps in Soccar will have descending time, while Knockout quick chats will have ascending time.
Overtime will also display ascending time.
Limited Time Modes in Private Matches
Based on player requests and feedback, we’ve added these Limited Time Modes as options in Private Matches, Offline Matches, and Custom Tournaments:
Beach Ball
Boomer Ball
Demolition
Dropshot Rumble (Can only be played on Core 707)
Eggstra Special Mode
G-Force Frenzy
Gridiron (Can only be played on Champions Field (NFL))
Moonball
Pinball
Speed Demon
Spike Rush
Super Cube
Mutator settings are now sorted into three categories: Match, Game, and Ball.
Mutators are available to activate for all of the added modes.
Some mutators may be disabled depending on the game mode being modified.
Changes to Item Shop Bundles
We’re making changes to how we sell bundles in the Item Shop.
If you own items in a bundle that’s currently in the Item Shop, you can now buy the bundle minus the cost of the customization item(s) that you already have in your inventory.
If the bundle you’re purchasing is being sold at a discounted price, and you already own one or more items in the bundle, the full price of the owned items will be deducted until the minimum price for the bundle is met.
If you’ve already purchased all items in a bundle, all items will show as “owned” and the purchase button will be disabled.
All of the above applies to bundles sold for in-game Credits, and not to bundles sold for real-world currency.

SALTY SHORES GETS FESTIVE
Salty Shores is looking a little less… well, salty. The seaside view gets swapped out for stadium podiums and a skatepark as we lay down the turf and welcome the crowds for Salty Shores’ Salty Fest!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a festival without new music. Monstercat artists Mazare and Dead Pony blend a furious mix of EDM and punk rock in this Season’s theme song “Generation Gap.” Rocket League Radio also gets a revamp as Monstercat provides a fresh selection of rock-inspired tracks from Fairlane, Silverstein, Point North, and Story Untold, while Season 15’s Rocket Pass Premium includes two new Player Anthems!

INTRODUCING CHAT TIMESTAMPS
With the frenetic speed of Rocket League matches, it’s useful to look back at the chat and know who said what and when. That “when” has been missing until Season 15! The addition of timestamps to sent chat messages should allow more tactical communication between players and reduce the likelihood of messages being misinterpreted. The timestamps will be based on how much time is left in the match. Finally, some important context for [3:00] What a save! [2:59] What a save! [2:58] What a save!
ROCKET PASS PREMIUM
Elder Emo? Indie Artist? Or just a punk with something to prove? Whatever side of the mosh pit you find yourself on, you’re sure to find something in tune with your preference in Season 15’s Rocket Pass Premium: Jump into Nissan Fairlady Z or Nissan Fairlady Z RLE as you rock the pitch fairly and thoroughly. And whether you’re into thrash metal, doom metal, or tech metal, open up the pit with the Mosher Boost and Rock On Antenna! Your biting lyrics now have an outlet with the SharpTongue Antenna. If your style speaks louder than words, put the Punk Boot Topper on your car. Either way, tighten your look (and then some… and then some more) with the Punked Wheels. If these Premium rewards are hitting the right notes for you, the Power Chord Goal Explosion will be a beam of light! Crank the celebrations to 11 with the takeover Vol. 11 Goal Explosion that’ll make the pitch a punk scene. All the rewards mentioned above are just some of the rewards you can unlock. There are 70+ Tiers of rewards across free and Premium, so keep on rockin’.
TOURNEY REWARDS HAVE NEVER LOOKED SO ENCHANTING
This Season’s Tournament Rewards are looking magical, but we swear they’re legit. Take a roll of the dice with the 1D20 Topper and Polyhedral Boost, leave your rivals enthralled with the Spellbound Goal Explosion, or play your cards right with the Jester Decal.
DEMOLITION AUDIO UPDATE
Fast cars, furious riffs, and frenetic boosts? Sounds like a blast. And speaking of blasts, you’ll notice changes to audio clarity for supersonic collisions. Demolition audio has been tweaked so it’s easier to detect whether it’s your teammates or opponents who have just gone up in smoke! Ready to make some noise and win over the crowd? The festival that is Season 15 runs from June 5 to September 4!
Season 14 is on its ascent to the finish, meaning there’s not long left to hit Tier 70 in the Rocket Pass. But worry not, Season Rush is back to help supercharge your progress and send you speeding towards Rocket Pass rewards like the Biolumin Decal and Atlantis Goal Explosion! Celebrate Star Wars Day behind the wheel in Rocket League! Until May 20, unlock Star Wars-themed items like Anakin’s Podracer Decal and the Darth Maul Decal.
It’s almost May the 4th, and new items inspired by the Star Wars galaxy are entering Rocket League at lightspeed! Take on Challenges to unlock items based on the fastest sport in the Star Wars universe: podracing. Also, in the Shop, you’ll find the Beskar Car Body based on the galaxy’s most durable metal. Customize Beskar with Decals reminiscent of legendary Mandalorian warriors! This galactic time of year happens in Rocket League now ’til May 20 at 6 PM PT.
COMPLETE CHALLENGES, YOU WILL
Think you’re as good at Soccar as Anakin is at podracing? Then prove it by taking on these three Challenges for in-game rewards! Hit the ball 200 times in online matches to unlock the high-voltage Energy Binders Trail. Manage to land 30 aerial hits above the top of the goal, or 30 goals in online matches, and you’ll unlock the slickest paint job on Tatooine: Anakin’s Podracer Decal. Try not to get any sand on it. Does your balance lean more towards the dark side? Win ten online matches using the Energy Binders Trail to unlock the Darth Maul Decal! Fear is your ally.
A BUNDLE MADE FROM PURE MANDALORIAN ALLOY
The best things are made of Beskar! Follow the way of the Mandalore with the Beskar Bundle containing the Beskar Car Body. This Car Body is inspired by Din Djarin’s armor, and roars like a Star Wars ship as you zoom around the arena. The Beskar Bundle also comes with a shipment of Decals and Wheels based on four other iconic Star Wars characters, including Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren!

Want to smuggle even more cargo? Then check out the Darth Maul Wheels (400 credits), Red Lightsaber Boost (400 credits), and The Mandalorian Player Anthem by Ludwig Göransson (300 credits) in the Featured Shop tab. This is the way. Important transmission: All the Challenge and Shop items in this crossover (excluding The Mandalorian Player Anthem) are eligible for cross-game ownership, meaning you’re able to use them in Fortnite! Living up to a legendary bounty hunter takes a lot longer than one day, which is why Rocket League’s May the 4th event lasts over two weeks! The saga will conclude on May 20.
🔧 Fixed the Wolverine Slash Goal Explosion so the background behind the goal does not overlap and obscure the explosion. 🔧 Fixed a bug preventing Monstercat Antennas from being used on third-party Car Bodies.
In the Rocket League | X-Men ‘97 event, customize your ride with X-Men Decals, Boosts, Wheels, and more.
Update: An earlier version of this blog stated that several Decals listed below are eligible for cross-game ownership with Fortnite. These Decals are not cross-game eligible, and the blog has been updated to reflect this.
Welcome to the next stage in Soccar’s evolution! From April 23 at 9 AM PT to May 3, 2024, at 9 AM PT, Rocket League will mutate as items based on some of the most powerful characters from X-Men blast onto the arena. Carry on Professor X’s legacy by completing Challenges to unlock Toppers, Player Banners, and other items inspired by Marvel Animation's X-Men '97 on Disney+. Also, items based on iconic heroes like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm have swiped into the Item Shop. Make a pit stop to check out these Decals and more!
TAKE ON CHALLENGES, BUB
Warm up the Blackbird—there are twelve X-Men Challenges that each offer a different reward. Speaking of the X-Jet, the Blackbird is one of three unlockable Toppers, alongside the Cerebro and Sentinel Head. But first, are you on the side of good or evil? Show where your allegiance lies with three Player Banners, including X-Men, Wolverine, or… Magneto. If you’re one of the heroes, you might also want to swap in the X-Men Wheels. If you’re as good with a deck of cards as you are with a Soccar ball, then the Gambit Decal is your ace of spades. Every match is more exciting when there are fireworks, so bring the pyrotechnics to the arena with the Jubilee’s Pyrotechnic Energy Boost. Like your energy a bit more… negative? Leave unstable energy wherever you go with the Marvel Crackle Trail. By completing one of the more difficult Challenges (Play 20 Online Matches), you’ll earn a Golden X-Crate. Open it up from inside your inventory to unlock items from the Champions, Vindicator, or Velocity Series. You can complete this Challenge up to five times, meaning you can unlock up to five X-Crates! There’s also an unlimited Win 10 Online Matches Challenge, which rewards 20,000 XP each time.
GO ROGUE WITH MORE X-MEN ITEMS
From energy beams to weather control and magnetism, it’s fair to say that mutant powers come in all shapes and sizes. Show off the full force of the X-Men with the many Decals and other items in the Item Shop! First up are two items based on the stand-in leader of the X-Men, Cyclops. Inspire your teammates with the Cyclops Fennec Decal, which replicates Scott Summer’s classic blue and yellow costume. Pair it with the Cyclops’ Optic Blast Boost to zoom off with a red laser beam! When boosting, be careful not to bump into the Rogue Breakout Decal.
Where Cyclops can be found, Jean Grey isn’t far behind. The Jean Grey Dominus Decal features animated flames showing the pyrokinetic power of the cosmic entity that used to control Jean’s mind. Next up is the Mistress of the Elements. Turn every match into a lightning round with the Storm Breakout Decal. And brighten up the arena even more with the Jubilee Octane Decal complete with shiny sparkles.
How about swapping out the carbon fiber for adamantium? The Wolverine Octane Decal will give your ride retro vibes with Logan’s iconic yellow threads. Celebrate your goals with Snikt! and circumstance with the Wolverine Slash Goal Explosion.
Here’s something that’ll attract attention. Conquer the arena like the powerful leader of the Brotherhood with the Magneto Dominus Decal—a perfect fit for the Mutant Brotherhood Wheels. Control over magnetism not included.
Can’t wait to see the Cyclops Decal in action? The X-Men Mega Bundle + Fennec includes everything in the Mega Bundle plus the Fennec Car Body (Saffron)!
Fennec Car Body (Saffron) (700 Credits individually)

Boost Nameplate Indicators
Boost Nameplate Indicators are a new feature on Player Nameplates to keep you informed of your teammate’s Boost levels.
A new circular boost meter will be visible to the left of your teammate’s name.
If you’re using Simplified Nameplates, the circle appears above your teammate’s triangle indicator.
The circle will appear full when your teammate’s Boost is at 100, empty at 0, and updates in real-time as your teammate goes through Boost or picks Boost up.
Boost information is only available for teammates, so you’ll never know how much Boost your opponents have.
Boost information for all players is visible during goal replays, when you are spectating a live match, and when you are watching a saved replay.
Boost Nameplate Indicators are active in all game modes.

KNOWN ISSUES
For a complete list of known issues in Rocket League, go here.
Soon in Rocket League, your teammates’ nameplates will display how much boost they have left! Also, certain item rarities are getting a name change.
Rocket League is a game full of modes where you need to think quickly on your feet – er, Wheels. Maybe you’ve taken to the air only to see your teammate’s “Need boost!” in the chat a split second too late. You lose the fifty, your teammate can’t make it back in time, and it’s game over.
Starting in tomorrow’s update, though, the nameplates over your teammates will show how much boost they have left! Their remaining boost will be displayed in a small circle gauge next to their display name.
Read more about these upgraded nameplates, plus changes to item rarity names also in the update.
Nameplates: Now with Teammate Boost Indicators
The core of this change is that we feel visible boost levels will lessen confusion between teammates. For example, let’s say you have a teammate dribbling up the field. You may ask yourself, “Are they being slow and methodical on purpose… or are they just short on boost?” With the upgraded nameplates, you’ll have a better idea of what your teammates are doing.
Knowing teammates’ boost levels is important for high-skill players, but also Rocket League players as a whole. Many players may not fully understand the significance of boost management, so we feel that showing players how their teammates are handling boost will help them make better decisions for themselves and their team.
The reason we went with nameplates to display this information—instead of a HUD addition—is because we believe an always-on boost indicator for all your teammates would be difficult to follow and would distract from gameplay. (Additionally, we believe knowing your teammates’ boost levels at all times isn’t necessary.) It's a careful balance between providing useful information to players without adding too much visual noise.
As a reminder, these boost indicators only apply to your teammates, not anyone on the opposing team! We’d love to hear what you think of this feature, so head over to the Rocket League subreddit or Discord and be heard.
Rarity Name Changes
Starting in tomorrow’s update, the names of these item rarities will change:
Common → Base
Uncommon → Sport
Rare → Special
Very Rare → Deluxe
Limited → Luxury
Stay tuned for the patch notes for this update, being published after the update goes live tomorrow, April 16 at 4 PM PT / 11 PM UTC.
