Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads… But we do need a pitch!
Starting October 21, 2015 — the same day that Marty McFly traveled to in Back to the Future, Part II — The world-famous DeLorean Time Machine will officially appear as a playable Battle-Car in Rocket League!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWTGyIwgvZw Truth be told, we used to fantasize and joke about having the DeLorean Time Machine in our game months before it even came out. We were all such huge Back to the Future fans here at Psyonix, that it was one of the few "Holy Grails" we had hoped for besides having a hit game. The fact that we’re getting both of those “best-case scenarios” in the same year is an amazing accomplishment for us, and they’re things we’ll never forget!
Hopefully you’ll never forget your time with the DeLorean Time Machine either, as we’ve meticulously worked to recreate its look, feel, and folding jet-wheels just as they appeared in the original motion picture trilogy. Best of all, it’s a heck of a lot of fun to play with — and comes complete with its signature “Burnt Rubber” Rocket Trail to boot!
Available in the “Back to the Future Car Pack,” the DeLorean Time Machine will retail for $1.99 USD (or its regional equivalent) starting October 21!
P.S. If you want to grab even more Rocket League content before the DeLorean Time Machine hits the field next week, don’t forget to look for our “Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC Pack,”, which goes on sale tomorrow for $3.99 US

It’s been three weeks since we first implemented changes to Ranked Season 1 play, which means that it's as good a time as any to give you a small update on what we've been seeing since.
Moving away from our old Preseason Matchmaking Ratings (MMR) to the current Rank Points (RP) System has taught us a lot, to be sure -- and we've been closely observing what players like and don't like as we head towards our improvement list for Season 2 (like RP gains in the Platinum Tier, for example).
Some things we're considering include...
What Happens When Players Leave Ranked Matches: One of the most talked-about topics in Season 1, is the way that RP is impacted when a player from the opposing team abandons a Ranked match. As it stands now, players are given less RP for a win when that happens. We have seen players voice their frustration with that system and we agree with them. It was an unintended side effect of how MMR calculations worked in-game and we are fixing it in the upcoming patch. We'll have more info on that as we get closer to the fix.
How we Emphasize XP Titles: Another thing we've noticed is that XP Titles can be confusing and players have asked us to look into changing how this works. The titles are in no way supposed to be a representation of a player's skill, and instead shows a rough estimation of time spent playing matches. In a future patch, we plan on letting players select from any one of their available XP titles or hide them completely, should they so decide.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to bring them up in this thread. Thanks!

If you’ve played Rocket League in the past few months then you know that we LOVE the indie electronic-trio, Hollywood Principle. Their music has been prominently featured in Rocket League and its first two DLC packs, Supersonic Fury and the upcoming Revenge of the Battle-Cars, which is scheduled for release October 13.
In our latest announcement trailer we featured a remix of their song “Breathing Underwater” by Baltimore producer Ether, which got us thinking, "With a community of over six million users, why not give our players a chance to showcase their musical talent?" With the help of Indaba Music and Hollywood Principle, we are excited to announce our "Seeing What's Next" Community Remix Contest!
Here's the rundown:
You may submit one remix per musician for this contest, so make it count!
You must use at least one of the provided audio stems to be eligible.
Submission period runs from October 6 - November 3, 2015.
Do not include any material that you do not have the legal right to exploit.
Grand Prize Winner will be chosen by Hollywood Principle for future placement in Rocket League's main menu!
Grand Prize Winner will be announced on December 1, 2015. For full contest rules, details and eligibility reference the information on the Indaba Music remix page
Good luck to all of you! We look forward to hearing your remix in-game!

We have some rather personal, but exciting news today!
As some of you may know, Rocket League isn't the only game the team here at Psyonix has been developing over the past few years. Our Legacy of Kain-inspired, "Vampires vs. Humans" multiplayer action game, Nosgoth has also been terrorizing open beta players on Steam since earlier this year.
Though both of our games are thematically different, the one thing they share in common (besides "us") is that they have strong, passionate communities. It's with that commonality in mind that we wanted to find a way to bring our two games together -- which is exactly why we're adding special, Nosgoth-themed Flags to Rocket League this October.
Available in patch v1.06, the Nosgoth-themed Flags will include three different designs:
"Nosgoth" (The Pillars of Nosgoth Insignia)
"Nosgoth - Human" (Human Insignia)
"Nosgoth - Vampire" (Vampire Insignia)
You'll be able to access each flag as they are unlocked (as post-match rewards for completing games) in the Garage section of the game under "Antennas/ Video Games."
We hope you enjoy Rocket League's little nod to the Nosgoth community, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support in both titles over these past few years and beyond!
