Today we updated our store logo to fit the artwork used both on the organic website, our facebook page and our newsletters.
This picture is part of the original box packaging and does better reflect our passion for WWII History.

USA have entered the war since a few hours with the Sherman Firefly Mk IC. They are fighting together with french forces to push axis out of Belgium.
They recently liberated Tongeren, Hurtgenwald and Eupen, despite British forces having been pulled back to recover from their heavy losses during the last days.
Axis are holding strong despite the loss of important production factories in the East. A few of their counter-attacks succeeded on Leopoldsburg and Arendonk.
Since the beginning of the campaign 158 on December 4th 2018, Allies have reported 130,515 deaths and Axis 127,168 deaths. Altogether, WWII Online soldiers have spent 2,736,880 minutes in the battlefield.
Dear everyone, happy 2019 that I wish full of game patches and wwiiol moments!
CRS would like to gather opinions about the opportunity to offer players more affordable subscriptions, limited per branch (navy? armor? infantries? air? all ground?).
I would like to ask our steam players to take the survey and gather your feedbacks.
2019 is starting off with a "BANG" as players abuse(?) the new Christmas Toys! The snow has melted and CRS has hit the roads by adding new towns - thanks to Merlin51. Who knew he worked in the construction industry, right??? Also in this report, a quick synopsis from XOOM's New Year Report, Campaign #159 reports, and a Squad highlight!
XOOM's New Year Report
We hope everyone has had the chance to read the report sent on December 31st. As most of you know, this past year was a milestone for CRS, especially the Christmas release, which was the biggest equipment patch this team has accomplished! All our team members have done an amazing job and overcome huge obstacles. That being said, 2019 is going to blow 2018 out of the water!
Terrain Updates Inbound
As with most of CRS members, the holidays did not slow down Merlin51 - our main terrain editor guru. We had mentioned extending the map previously and it is now getting into SCKING and the Quality Assurance Team's hands! A lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into the future terrain update and I think Merlin51 will be ready for a vacation after its release lol. The proposed patch includes many current "terrain" issues as well
Holland - "Zee's" will have plenty of new Naval action with the many Deep Water Ports, two of them just across the channel from each other!
France is coming along nicely as well!
Thank you Merlin51 for all your hard work SALUTE!

About "The Lancers"
12th Royal Lancers is one of WWIIOL's best allied units, well known for their ability to dig in and hold the line in all but the deadliest of situations. Constantly challenging at the top of the Points and Map Movement tables, "The Lancers" are a major force to be reckoned with all across the map and they will gladly exploit any chink in the axis defences, both in town, and at the enemy's Forward Bases.
Their friendly rivalry with White Pudding Suppers (known simply as WHIPS) occasionally becomes that of an alliance, transforming them into the most potent fighting force the game has ever seen.
Their motto is simple: Death or Glory.
Do YOU have what it takes to become a Lancer? Enlist now!
With 2019 here, we have been tasked to get production and development a revised top bug list and issue list. We will be doing a Maintenance Patch this year, and to be as productive as possible, and balance the New Toys vs Fixing Issues this will be soley for wrapping up long standing bugs and other issues which may have popped up.
Here is the list BLCKHWK currently has in no particular order. What we are asking for is anything that is not on this list. We are not saying these all will be fixed or implemented but will help in communicating to the developers what you the player base are concerned with.
We are not looking for a debate on issues just a simple list plan and simple with brief explanation. If you want to debate please feel free to do so by starting a thread in the forums.
Thank you
Radar System Lag
LMG Rambo Gunning
Clipping
Feet sticking out of Building
Bofors deploy in Tent and clips up
Sachels clipping in vehicles
bullets falling through the floor if someone is shooting on the floor above you.
Tree collider stopping bullets
Lag and Connection Issues
Death Lag
Ping/Lag/Hit detection bugs
Sliding Corpses
Fire Bug / Engine Bug
Get KIA and you see the death came but cant hit esc to start despawn timer, then you finally get the despawn timer and have to watch the deathcam again
Point of view issues -
Rendered below berm however 1st person still able to fire over berm
The height of sight-line still seems too high from 1st person view. This causes issues when firing from behind berms, deploying prone at windows, and gives an overall impression of smurf houses and toy tanks. I remind someone also arguing that people were smaller than today. Similar issue when kneeling and laying down. The eyes are not at the right vertical/horizontal level
M10 is an open turret tank. Yet the bloody commander has no better audio of surroundings than a traditional tank. Plus to pop the commander up takes the same time as opening a hatch sequence. Makes no sense. Any advantage of the open turret is completely removed. So it is pretty much just a liability.
Tree collider stopping bullets
smoke rounds are invisible or have no shell animation
Random Weakpoints in Armor or Vehicles
HC Disconnect Bug - Lose privileges or if you issue an AO or Move and log before it is completed it is wiped
Sun Glare is too bright
Green-Rise ambient light at dawn creates a green huy
Deploying LMG in Window has issues
FB Flip Bug - AB bounced all backline towns with no flag lose the FB
Bombadier booted to training arena after DB7 missions
The LMG aiming exploit, namely being able to set up their LMGs and aim down the sight WHILE running around.
Tracked Tank Bounce
ATG Flip Bug & ATG's flipping when being towed.
Not being able to Stop directly from running
Spawn in and Spawn Delay Issues
Despawn Bug where the timer restarts
When SD is more than 10 seconds and you reserve a unit that unit is taken you click enter world and nothing, you then have to wait full SD again
INvisable CP and FBs
Infantry jumping full gear from 3 story building is unrealistic
Damage State Issues
Damage / Jam to tank gun should be visible to 3rd person, and tank crew should have notification
Game Hacks
Infantry weapon changing on it's own
Black ray of death
Stamina drains really fast when sprinting some times, and not others. No obvious reason/constant factor.
blowing the wing off a plane at 20 ft and only getting a hit. It seems about 20% of what should be AA kills don't register
Flying crash bug where one plane dies and the other doesn’t when the collide
Attention soldiers. Official communication from our president XOOM:
Today is the first day of 2019, and I wanted for all of us to take a moment and reflect on what we have accomplished. There have been some major milestones, several roadmap deliveries, increased productivity and understanding of systems and code, and new roads paved for us to make 2019 another year of tremendous progress. Please join me in this review and let us not forget how much ground has been gained. Do note, a Roadmap outlining 2019’s objectives will be a separate article, but I’ll quickly cover what we are working on at this moment. May you have a very Happy New Year, S!
TO OUR LOYAL SUBSCRIBERS (FANS)
I wanted to say THANK YOU for your steadfast support. We will be able to continue development and maintain operations of WWII Online as long as you are here. Each of you are extremely valued and we hope you will help us carry on this dream.
TO OUR TEAM AT CRS
Many of you have grown so much in your capability as individuals, and as a team we’ve refined our process and intend to do so some more. This has resulted into tremendous progress in 2018 and has set ourselves up for a big year in 2019. Great work, and thanks for what you do, the WWIIOL community and I are no doubt grateful.

PREPARING FOR 2019
As mentioned we’re working on the 2019 Roadmap and it is not quite ready for distribution as we’re ironing things out. That said, I can tell you that it will be another pretty aggressive year here at WWII Online and we’re going to have some big objectives to tackle.
The best thing you can do is to subscribe to the game because it provides us the literal life fuel to keep this activity up. CRS is delivering as promised tangible results both for new content and fixes. We can achieve substantially more by bringing some more folks on full-time, and we’d very much like to do that. We need your help to make that happen, as volunteer time can only go so-far, and what is being achieved by a mostly volunteer team is pretty extraordinary.
In closing, I’d like to once again thank you for the support you have provided, and encourage to the best of your ability to help my team and I do more here at WWII Online (CRS) for your benefit.
We will be able to maintain the game and carry it onwards for as long as you’re here to back us up, and make no mistake, you are single handedly vital to our mission success, more than ever before.
Hey everyone, just a quick reminder: Purchasing DLCs are done one time only, and you own them for ever. They do not require a Subscription to play. We hope that clears up any confusion.
If you have any questions, please let us know! You can also contact our support team at http://support.wwiionline.com and we'd be happy to work with you privately if needed.
Our Premium subscription is by far the best bang for your buck and provides maximum value, as you'll be able to earn all equipment with this. Your DLC access, if you have purchased it, will simply stack on top of the Premium subscription. If your subscription lapses, then you will be downgraded back to having your DLC and Free access only.
Thanks for reading, and please be sure to recruit / tell a friend about WWII Online.
Welcome aboard to Sebastien "Zebbeee" R. as the new Steam Community Manager (the first ever), and as our newest RAT of CRS. Steam requires a dedicated focus and specific care to make sure that they get the most tailored experience as possible. I have asked Zebbeee to work with our Community Management, Marketing and Support teams to make sure they get the best and most frequent form of communication and support. Zebbeee has been helping me with analyzing WWII Online customer feedback and needs for sometime now and he is the perfect fit for this assignment.
Please join me in welcoming him aboard. If you are interested in supporting him on the Steam platform, we'd be very happy to accept some extra help here.
