We will only accept submissions that include a picture
If you included a brief description and guidelines for our artist, we will only accept the ones in English
Keep your submissions in one post only (you can edit it until the deadline)
We will only accept original pieces of artwork: do not include references/art that you haven't produced
Use the art style and the technique of your choice and not necessarily pixel art
/!\ Take into account every element of the hero created by wkinchlea (link): race, gender, composition, weapon and personality
Rosetta uses a sword: we'll accept anything that resembles it, but we'll have to decline submissions that are too exotic for our taste!
ADVICE
The winner of part 1 is a lady robot: however, it doesn't need to have a human / lady human appearance
Use the existing elements of the game (creatures, environment, lore) to create a hero coherent with the game background
Surprise us!
DEADLINE
Submit your ideas before March 2nd. We’ll be closing the thread at midday (CET). We will choose the three best submissions that will move on to the G2G vote.
PRIZE
The two lucky winners (part 1 and part 2) will receive the following:
Your name in the game credits
A unique Dungeon of the Endless T-shirt
Three copies of Dungeon of the Endless (Crystal Pack), to play co-op with their friends!
Please note that Amplitude reserves the right to modify the 3 proposals and will work with the winners to finalise the design and adapt it to development constraints. Simon, our artist, will provide the final visual, based on the winning submission.

As you all know, we have been focusing on improving the multiplayer at the moment, amongst other things. In the meantime, we thought a little something fun for you all. And that’s of course a new contest: we are giving you the opportunity to create the next Dungeon of the Endless hero.
This contest will be divided in three parts:
Biography and archetype [Forum submissions + G2G vote]
Visual [Forum submissions + G2G vote]
Hero finalisation [G2G vote]
YOUR SUBMISSION
Your submission must include all the following elements:
A name (20 characters max)
A race: Vaulter (human), Nidya, Broken Lord, Necrophage, Sister of Mercy, Drakken, Machine, Jotus, Hurna, Silics
A gender
A biography (1000 characters max)
1-2 personality traits
Composition: weak, normal or strong
Weapon: sword, spear, machine gun, or gun
GUIDELINES
You are limited to three submissions. Please also note that we will only accept submissions posted in English.
Do not include elements defining the hero’s appearance, except the ones listed above (that's limited to part 2 only!). We will exclude submissions that do not take this into account.
Do not create links with other heroes for the storyline: we’ll handle this in part 3.
Do not give gameplay instructions
ADVICE
Get ideas from what’s already available in game. There’s no need to invent a new race for instance.
Keep it short and simple: complicated ideas aren’t always the best
Have fun

Fixed an issue with the Armory and Sanitary Pod locked again for players
/// If you used the "-openGL" command on Steam (launch options) because you used to experience crashes/display issues, please remove it as the problem should now be resolved for specific configurations (but you might have to keep it if your issue isn't fixed when you remove it!).

On this day, Endless technology lights up and strange things appear in the ruins all across Auriga, and even throughout the galaxy as the Archivist, Esseb Tarosh, fulfils its duty.
RELEASE NOTES [1.0.40]
Improvements
Improved the multiplayer mode stability: optimisation of bandwidth usage to reduce impact of bad connections (high packet loss rate) on game sync and avoid disconnections
Optimised lighting system and memory usage: the game should perform better and experience less crashes
Improved auto-save feature: it is now functional if a crash occurs during the elevator phase
Improved our save system: players with save issues should be able to save their games in this version
Added a backup system between game versions: if there is an incompatibility between your save and a new version, your save will not be lost and you’ll just have to restart your current level
Added resolution mode options: pixel perfect, border (not stretched) and no border (stretched) modes
Improved tactical map transition
Added sound effects for the Pug hero, Ayairi Whairydd
Bug Fixes
Fixed some multiplayer issues (locking players in the lobby when the host is having connection problems and variable synchronisations amongst other things)
Fixed issues with our lighting system and DX11 compatibility
Fixed achievements that were wrongly unlocked after a save
Fixed keyboard shortcut issues on Mac (Note: there is a known issue in Unity (our game engine) with special characters on the numeric keys, which prevent some foreign users to use them to select heroes for example)
Fixed Autodoc Shards tooltip values
We changed some critical assets in this version and old saves will not be compatible with this version. The new backup system will restart your current level.
