Hello again all you magical Talisman fans! ːBlueTalismanː
More of an informative announcement this time, just to let you all know we've created a new bundle for Talisman content!
We're excited to announce that we've just released the 'Digital Exclusive Collection' for Talisman: Digital Edition. This will give you a tasty discount on our digital-exclusive content, and as a 'complete your collection' bundle it'll reward you for supporting us! You already gain our eternal love by supporting us, but we figured we could do more! ːheartː
Also, remember that the discounts on these bundles stack with any other discounts or sales, so if you're looking for a deal then keep an eye on these!
So what bundles are available now?
We've noticed a fair few people asking about bundles on the Steam forums, so we wanted to properly explain how we've currently got things set up. We've tried to create these bundles in a way that makes sense, but we're always open to feedback on them!
Digital Exclusive Collection Our newest Talisman bundle, this collects every piece of digital-exclusive content we've made since finishing the season pass. If you pair this with the season pass, you'll officially have everything Talisman: Digital Edition has to offer!
Talisman: Digital Edition - Season Pass This contains all of the expansions available physically for the 4th Revised Edition of Talisman. If it's been printed physically, it's in here! You also get the Talisman runestones and some extra characters too.
Expansions Bundle Only care about expansions? We've got you covered with the Expansions Bundle, another 'Complete Your Collection' offer that contains every single expansion for Talisman: Digital Edition. This includes both physical and digital-exclusive expansions!
Characters Bundle Want to increase your character roster? Good news, as this bundle contains all the individual (non-expansion) characters in one place! This is another 'Complete Your Collection' bundle, so you can grab this at a discount too.
Legendary Decks Collection Looking for a Talisman challenge? We've bundled together all the currently available Legendary Decks into a single package, if you're really after a hard time!
Adventurer Starter Pack Talisman can be a daunting game, which is why we got feedback from our lovely community on what they'd want to see in an 'introduction pack' for Talisman. Designed for new players, this bundle has helped many players get their start in the game!
Hello once again all you dashingly handsome Talisman fans ːBlueTalismanː
We've rolled out a small update today to fix some bugs that our lovely developers have managed to get a hold on over the past week.
This update will (hopefully) fix the following issues for you:
crashes at the end of online games
crashes caused by re-rolling using dark fate
crashes caused by selecting a card from the board
We're still working on more updates/bug fixes as always, and will hopefully be rolling out more bug fixes soon.
If you have any bugs you'd like us to take a look at, please post them on the Steam forums (we actively keep an eye out for new stuff on there) or let us know on the Nomad Games discord which is full of especially lovely people.
And finally, we hope you're all staying safe inside during these crazy times! ːheartː
First of all, we hope you’re all enjoying the new content we released for Talisman: Digital Edition last week! If you haven’t checked out the Legendary Decks yet, then you can find out more about them in their full announcement here.
If you’re still looking for more Talisman content, we’re happy to announce we’re releasing three new characters for you to battle against your friends with. These three characters are The Vampire, The Satyr and The Pilgrim. They will be familiar to any long-term Talisman fans, as two of them made their debut in the 2nd Edition more than 30 years ago!
We’ve worked alongside some of our community members to update them to fit Talisman: Digital Edition, and we can’t wait for you to get your hands on them. Whether you remember them back in the day, or it’s your first time playing them, they’ll definitely bring something new to your table.
If you already own a bunch of characters for Talisman: Digital Edition, we'll be adding these characters to our 'All Characters Bundle' so you'll be able to get a tasty discount on them as thanks for supporting us.
You can find out more about these exciting new characters below, and then add them to your wishlist to be notified when they go on sale:
We hope you're all enjoying this fresh wave of Talisman content, and if you've got feedback you can get in touch with us on Facebook, Twitter and Discord! ːheartː
We're very excited to announce that we've just released a batch of new content for Talisman: Digital Edition! This new content includes:
4 new Legendary Decks available for players to purchase
3 new characters available for players to purchase
A cool new look for the main menu
A heap of bug fixes and improvements
What are Legendary Decks?
If you’ve not already seen or heard, Legendary Decks will take your game of Talisman to the next level by making the game more challenging than ever before. Legendary Decks are mixed into your normal Adventure Cards, with the new cards offer harder challenges for you to overcome.
Please note that in order to use a Legendary Deck for a certain expansion, you’ll need to first own the expansion that the Legendary Deck is associated with. e.g. to use ‘The Reaper: Legendary Deck’ you’ll need to first own ‘The Reaper Expansion’ for Talisman: Digital Edition.
Who are these new characters?
We've brought three classic characters from the early days of Talisman to live in our digital adaptation! They are:
The Ranger, a skilled hunter and tracker who has spent years in the wilds hunting dangerous monsters and foes. He is now setting his sights on the most dangerous prize of all… the Crown of Command!
The Witch Hunter believes evil has taken root in the world, and it’s his job to hunt it! The Witch Hunter has a legion of villagers at his back, ready to put the accused on trial for their crimes.
The Swordsman is ready to unsheathe his blade and battle across the land of Talisman! Years of training have made the Swordsman an expert of the blade, and now he looks to put those skills to use in the race towards the Crown of Command.
I want to buy ALL the Legendary Decks! How do I do that?
Good question! We put together a bundle of Legendary Decks here on Steam so you can get them at a discount if you were planning on picking up the whole lot.
While this patch will hopefully fix a fair number of known bugs (the online connection issues should be fixed in this patch for example) we know Talisman well enough to say that we've definitely not squished all of them yet. We're always working on further bug fixes, and if we didn't fix yours this time then we're still working on it.
If a bug is still present in this update and you haven't posted it in the Bug Report forum, please do!
We hope you all enjoy this new content, and if you've got feedback you can get in touch with us on Facebook, Twitter and Discord! ːheartː
Just a minor update for you this time, as we've fixed a number of issues that would cause the game to crash to desktop. Most of these were quite specific and hard to pull off, so many of you would have never seen them hopefully!
We're currently working on a much bigger patch that we'll hopefully be rolling out in May.
Apologies for the delay on getting these notes to you, we're still working with a reduced staff here at Nomad Games so things are taking a bit longer than usual.
We’re excited to announce our latest batch of content for Talisman: Digital Edition! On May 7th we'll be bringing you 4 'Legendary Decks' and 3 new characters to play with! These will be able to purchase through Steam, and each Legendary Deck will require you to have the associated expansion in order to be used.
What are Legendary Decks?
If you’ve been looking for your next challenge in Talisman: Digital Edition, and want to ramp up the difficulty of your next game then this is just for you. Each Legendary Deck replaces selected Adventure Cards from the associated expansion with new, tougher versions of the Adventure Cards.
Legendary Decks are mixed into your normal Adventure Cards; however, the cards offer harder challenges for you to overcome. The classic Strength 7 Dragon will now tower above you as a Strength 15 Dragon.
How do they work?
At present we plan to make a Legendary Decks for all Talisman Expansions. At launch we will only be releasing 4 decks however, these will be for the Base Game and the following expansions: The Dungeon, The Highland, and The Reaper.
To play with the Legendary Decks, you’ll need to own the expansions that they are related too. Then you’ll simply have to turn them on before you start a game and they’re shuffled into the normal Adventure Deck.
Who are these new characters?
These three characters are returning favourites from earlier versions of Talisman, that we've updated for Digital Edition. From May 7th, you'll be able to purchase and play as:
The Swordsman
The Ranger
The Witch Hunter
If you want to find out more about Legendary Decks or these new characters you can see all their details on our website.
To celebrate the upcoming release of Talisman: Digital Edition on Nintendo Switch, we're hosting a competition to see who has the best Talisman figures!
Submit your figure before February 10th and you could be in with a chance of winning a free copy of Talisman: Digital Edition for the Switch when it launches on February 19th, along with every single piece of DLC! The best four submission will be put up to a public vote on our Facebook page.
Thanks for the support from our last update to current build. Normally, I do some fancy formatting but that would be overkill for this patch as the majority of it is under-the-hood stuff. They are as follows;
Fixed a music crash.
Fixed slowdown when audio device is lost.
Tapestry rewoven crash fix.
New shiny logos for both Nomad and GW.
Street Sage fix.
Fix for the 'Roll one dice' quest during the Warlock's Quest ending.
Fix for free Scales of Balances points.
Fix for taking the Self-Portrait via the Mummy King.
Fix for Characters retaining weapon buffs when they've been Ghosted pre-fight.
Fix for the Fire Giant and Crawling Hand not moving after a stand-off.
Fix for the Jin Blooded using countered Spells.
Optimisations for network code that handles quitting, rejoining, and resuming.
We're not gonna do our usual super formatting for this patch as we've only got a few logic fixes.
The major thing that comes with this update is controller support and online stability fixes.
If you plug your controllers in there should be fully mapped support. We'll include a controller map layout image in the next patch, but for now you should be able to use your controllers. Plug them in and have a play!
We've spent ages working on online stability fixes that has led us down some pretty deep and dark rabbit holes that led to some new and improved stability bugs but we think we're on top of that now. We should see less dropouts and less trouble rejoining/resuming games across all platforms. We're very focused on online stability at the moment so if you continue to have issues then please let us know.
Fixes
New music for battles and psychic combat.
Text spill cleaned up if there are multiple winners for the Runic Revolution ending.
Ghosts now respect Gauntlet rules in the Inner Region.
Ruined City now correctly discards after taking a card from the purchase deck.
Village Mystic is now correctly placed if you draw them through the Meeting Place card.
Chivalric Knight should be able to encounter other players through the Spiteful Imp card.
The Black Knight Denizen should discard correctly when on a Terrain card.
Warlord should no longer get +1 Craft per conscripted follower.
Restless Dead should correctly apply to Spirits and Undead enemy types if they're drawn through Metamorph.
You should correctly get gold from the Cataclysm Treasure Chest.
