The community of Plague Inc: Evolved has been fantastically supportive during our time in Early Access with lots of people offering to help out. There are now two more ways in which you can get involved with the development of Plague Inc: Evolved if you want:
Translating the game into different languages; and
Finding cool photos of the world which we can include in the game.
Translate Plague Inc: Evolved - Help us infect the world We started translating Plague Inc: Evolved into different languages with player help a few weeks ago – the community response has been fantastic and we are moving ahead quickly.
If you want to help us translate Plague Inc: Evolved into your language - then head over to the Language Evolution Chamber (translation site :P).
You can also go here to see the latest status on progress.
Do you have a city cam image that we can use in the game? In the game, we use city images to show what is happening in a country. We currently don't have photos for all the countries in the game and we want to add them!
We're looking for photos of major cities that we can work on to show the progression of a country (or group of countries) as they go from business as usual into breakdown to destruction (we add the breakdown and destruction!). So if you have a cool photo that you would like to be featured in the game, find full details on our forum.
Oh, and the Necroa Virus is almost here, get ready for the zombies…

Major Evolution 3 (update 0.6) is live now on Steam Early Access. It adds a new gameplay mode - Speed Runs!
Speed Run mode challenges you to beat the game as quickly as possible and lets you compare your record against friends. In order to eradicate the world quickly - you will have to explore radically different strategies to give an edge over the pesky humans. How quickly can you kill the world?
Will you be the quaranTIME* champion?!
The update also includes a number of fixes, tweaks and additions - see below for more. Steam should automatically download this update.
Next week - I will be going to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Bad news is that this will mean the next Evolution will be a bit slower. (release the week of the 24th of March) Good news is that it will add the much requested Necroa Virus (inc. zombies).
*** Hotfix 0.6.1 released 10th March fixes an exploit that a few naughty people were using in Speed Runs and also fixes a save bug impacting DNA points. Thanks everyone who helped us track these issues down. ***

The release of major content update Evolution 2 added the Neurax Worm as well as a few unwanted bugs (the bad sort)! This update is a quick bugfix update to address issues around unlocking of cheats and display of biohazard medals and a few other tweaks. Thanks everyone who helped us track these issues down.
Full Change Log 0.5.6:
Fixed - Display of biohazard medals re difficulty level of completion next to disease type.
Fixed - issue allowing gene unlocks to come via double clicking - even if locked
Fixed - cheat plagues unlock properly when winning the game on Brutal/Mega Brutal
Fixed - text for Eurozone news item.
Fixed - Patient Who achievement
Fixed - incorrect message reporting unlock of Necroa Virus
Fixed - XML error on CDC news item.
Some people may have not had their Brutal and Mega Brutal progress stored in the last few days. Sorry about this - it is working properly now and it shouldn't happen again as we have made some fundamental improvements to the save structure of unlocks.

This bugfix update fixes an issue that some people were having with a "Not Connected to Steam" message. Once you have the update - you should be able to start and play the game normally.
Big thanks to Fraser (one of the programmers) who spent most of his weekend working out what was going on here and everyone who sent in bug reports.
Our first major update is expected later this week and will add in the mind controlling Neurax Worm along with other bug fixes and enhancements.
