After the long downtime, we're opening GunZ 2 in Europe again.
We apologize to all EU fans for such a long downtime. The licensing agreement with Prosieben had come to an end, and we opened Steam server for EU fans as of this week. We still need to finish up optimizing game servers to host players from EU regions, but we believe that the game service will be stabilized and improved with the new EU players soon.

Notes on upcoming new contents - 10/28/2014

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to apologize about delayed contents update and announcements. As you might already know, we have launched GunZ 2 in South East Asia last month. We’ve been focused on the project for the past few weeks, and we are now ready to push the next contents update on Steam for you all.
We have prepared 24 new items all equipped with brand new features that will bring a huge impact to the gameplay.

See below for details of the new gears.

The latest technology developed by scientists of NAU enabled soldiers to use their optimite energy when handling firearms. By doing so, they can use special abilities installed on the weapons.

Optimite Crime Buster MK I
[X-ray Scope] Scope zoom sees through objects. (Constantly consumes ZP)

Optimite Crime Buster MK II
[Lock and Load] Waiting for 3 seconds in scope zoomed in activates Lucky Bullet. (Replaces original Lucky Bullet)

Optimite Curved Blade MK I
[Typhoon] Cyclone Kick is enhanced with powerful spinning attack. (Consumes 2 ZP bars / can be casted in mid-air only)

Optimite Curved Blade MK II
[Lightning Blast] Smash combo (MLB > MRB) is replaced with powerful lightning blast attack.


Optimite Dual Tiger Teeth MK I
[Quick Play] Increases reloading speed. (Aim shot requires max ZP)

Optimite Dual Tiger Teeth MK II
[Precision Spray] Aim shot does not slow down movement speed but slightly decreases aim rate.

Optimite Royal Daggers MK I
[Decoy Dance] Rena's decoy moves forward attacking her enemies.(Rena cannot attack while creating her decoy)

Optimite Royal Daggers MK II
[Chain Rush] Shadow Rush skill's cooldown time resets if an enemy is killed from skill damage. (Skill cooldown time is increased)


Optimite Spitter MK I
[Precision Strike] Grenade shells can be detonated by pressing R button. (Grenades do not explode upon contact with targets.

Optimite Spitter MK II
[Fire Skipper] Grenade shell explodes and bounces off group 4 times. (Reload time increased)

Optimite Baton MK I
[Shockwave] Hammerfall is enhanced with 3 consecutive explosion instead of 1. (Explosion damage gets smaller over the course)

Optimite Baton MK II
[Determination] After taunting motion, Elena can use powerful unblockable attack with mouse right button. (Replaces Launch Attack)


Optimite Eagle Eye MK I
[Roulette] One round per each clip does greater damage. (Disables Fast Draw)

Optimite Eagle Eye MK II
[Auto Aim] One Shot One Kill locks on targets automatically, but max target number decreases.

Optimite Anaconda Tail MK I
[Arms Robbery] Grabbing an enemy temporarily neutralizes enemy's weapon.

[Mad Cowboy] Upon casting Extermination, Wayne charges forward attacking all enemy targets in his way. (Cannot turn direction)


Optimite Undertaker MK I
[Explosive Round] Fires explosive rounds instead of the conventional bullet. (Cannot move while firing)

[Recycled Rounds] Idling the gun regenerates ammo.

Optimite Legion Shield MK I
[Shielddozer] Max charges 3 times upon casting Shield Charge. (Skill damage decreases over the course)

Optimite Legion Shield MK II
[Light Leap] Shield Shock consumes only 1 ZP bar. Shield Shock can be cased in air. (Skill damage is reduced)


Optimite TDW-4 MK I
[Guided Rocket] Fired rocket traces after the target Rose's crosshair is pointing. (Firing rate decreased)

Optimite TDW-4 MK II
[Multishot] Rose can fire upto 3 rockets at once by pressing and holding Fire button. (Movement speed is decreased while charging shots)

Optimite Survival Knife MK I
[Humongous Fall!] Skill damage of What you got in there? is also increased by 50% but chances to trip also increases to 100%

Optimite Survival Knife MK II
[Kaboom!] Jump slash triggers an explosion and damages all nearby enemies.
