How about cracking open some zombie skulls with your fists?
Get ready for Summer Madness, a zombie slaughtering extravaganza which brings back two popular game modes – HyperMode and Super-Crane – combined. Yes, you can enjoy superhuman punches and enhanced grappling hook at the same time!
Can you become an ultimate zombie slayer? Launch Dying Light and prove yourself by killing 200 zombies with your bare fists and throwing another 200 off buildings. Completing each of the two personal challenges will earn you a docket for a gold-tier weapon. If the community manages to reach the global goal of 40,000,000 zombies killed with bare fists or sent falling to their deaths, every participant will be rewarded with three more gold weapon dockets.
The event is available until June 30th, 16:00 CEST.
If you don't want to participate in the event, you can turn it off in the main menu (Options > Online > Community event participation).
This release of the Dying Light: Definitive Edition marks an important moment in the history of Dying Light. On the one hand, it’s a showcase of the 7 years of immense love, staggering work and devotion. On the other, it’s the grand finale of our adventures in Harran.
Once again, we couldn’t be happier with the amount of success and awe-inspiring memories this game has brought us — primarily because of our wonderful community. There are still so many new faces discovering Dying Light for the first time, which is why we will keep a steady reroll of previous events in the near future for you to enjoy. And yet, we also feel it’s the perfect time to move on and shift our focus towards brand-new adventures in the city of Villedor.
Your fond memories of our game are the true undying light that will keep shining forever. We hope to make bigger and brighter memories together as we close one chapter and open another in the world of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
Thank you for the incredible seven years. Yours truly, #PeopleOfTechland
Dying Light has been an incredible journey. We are incredibly proud of the staggering 7 years of support it has received. However, we also understand that the sheer number of updates and DLCs released for our game might be daunting for new and returning players. It will be available on all platforms as a digital release. The Nintendo Switch version will come out at a later date, available as a digital and retail release.
Definitive Edition consists of the base game and all 26 DLCs (including skin bundles and expansion packs). It is the best way to experience the content and love we have poured into this game over 7 long years.
That’s not all! We also couldn’t be happier with the awesome community that fully embraced the experience in the city of Harran by constantly motivating us to aim higher and further. To properly thank you for the unforgettable years with Dying Light, we would like to present everyone with a free DLC — Harran Tactical Unit Bundle. Do hurry, however! This is a limited-time offer that will be available for only 2 weeks after the Definitive Edition’s premiere!**
**(this offer will be available only in the following stores: Steam, EGS, PS, Xbox, and GOG).
If you already own the Platinum Edition of the game — don’t worry, as you will be automatically upgraded to Definitive Edition for free! You will be able to enjoy 5 new bundles at no additional cost!
Those who already own the base game but wish to only purchase the bundles and expansion packs can find them for up to 11 USD on Steam.
Additionally, we are announcing a 2XP event starting on 09.06 at 19:00 CEST and ending on 16.06 at 19.00 CEST. The bonus applies to all skill trees, including Legend. The twins have a special task for you. Hunt down seven types of zombies to get their latest invention.
By chance, you’ve found yourself with quite an opportunity. The eccentric engineer twins, Tolga and Fatin, have decided to get really inspired with their inventions. Whether you’re a high roller at the casino or a sharpshooter in the streets, the Pocket 7’s will give anyone, or anything, a run for their money. Will you roll the dice and see what effect you end up with?
To obtain such a finely crafted weapon, you’ll have to hunt down and kill seven different types of enemies: Goon, Demolisher, Viral, Biter, Toad, Gas Tank, and a Volatile. Oh, and look, lucky you! There’s a few extra perks with the job. Low gravity and Super Crane have been activated to help you make sure you really can get creative and deal with all the monsters. But your streak doesn’t end there—your ammo will be auto-restored in every Save Zone too. We wouldn’t want you to run out of that, now would we? Once you’ve completed your mission and obtained your Pocket 7’s, you’ll roll for one of seven different effects every time you reload: electric bullets, poison bullets, freeze bullets, explosive bullets, super zombie grenade bullets, ballet grenade bullets, and statis bullets. There’s one thing that’s always constant though—you landing on your feet.
Bounties: Local bounty: Kill 7 types of enemies (1xGoon, 1xDemolisher, 15x Viral, 20x Biter, 3x Toad, 5x Gas Tank, 1x Volatile) Reward: The Pocket 7's gun (blueprint)
Global bounty: Kill 10 million enemies Reward: 3 King mods
In terms of military gear, Volkan’s without equal. Whenever you need quality equipment to fight zombies in the streets of Harran, you can be sure they’ll have your back. But their story began long before the infection has taken over the world. In the early 20th century, as Volkan Machines, they didn’t have much time to lounge about either, producing a variety of arms for the best of soldiers. Now, having been found years later, the weapons’ unique design and deadly effects will support your cause as well.
From all the relics we found, one is like nothing you’ve fought with before. Make room for the Gut Render, your new chainsaw! Cutting through armor like a hot knife through butter, its deadliness hasn’t withered one bit since its heyday. Gut Render comes with a bleeding effect and an increased critical damage chance too, allowing you to throw a truly bloody spectacle for your foes. Though, if you’d rather tune it down a little, take a look at the Flesh Ripper. A bit more subtle, it combines all the finesse of a blade with the lethality of a saw and a moderate bleeding effect.
But there are times when you might want to keep your hands clean(-er), and for all these moments, there’s the Greaser. Pick it up to add a little vintage twist to your act, and grease zombies like a regular with this old-school SMG. Now all you need is an appropriate outfit and something to drive around with all those weapons, right? Put on the Punk'd Beret set to match your arsenal, and jump into the new Rugged Roadster buggy!(Psst! You’ll save on fuel with its unique, economical perk!)
The bundle contains:
Chainsaw—Gut Render (bleeding effect, destroying enemies' armor, high chance for critical damage)
SMG—Greaser
Saw blade—Flesh Ripper (medium bleeding effect)
New Outfit—Punk'd Beret
New buggy skin—Rugged Roadster (50% slower fuel usage)
