The Chicken Ninja is back in town, which means we can get the annual Harran Egg Hunt rolling. As the name of the event suggests, the objective is to collect special Easter eggs – the more, the better. You will find them among the usual loot in various containers, but as you explore the city, you’ll also notice little zombies dressed in white. Those might not exactly be the cute Easter Bunnies we all deserve, but they’re what we’ve got nevertheless. If you catch and kill one, you get an egg too. In case you wonder why the eggs look like decorated grenades – it’s because that’s what they are. They come in four different types and can be used in combat to poison the enemies, freeze them, set them on fire, or knock them out.
When the community reaches the global goal, everyone will receive three gold weapon dockets. There are also two rewards for completing personal bounties – a gold weapon and the Cock-A-Doodle-Do Outfit (the legendary Chicken Ninja apparel). The event ends on Wednesday (April 7, 19:00 CEST). Happy hunting, Survivors! __________________________________________________________________ If you don't want to participate in the event, you can turn it off in the main menu (Options > Online > Community event participation). __________________________________________________________________ Remember that you can wishlist Dying Light 2 here!
Thanks to you, Hothead Joe is finally gone, but that's not the end of trouble. Another freak of nature terrorizes Harran and the GRE has no choice but to ask for your help once again.
Excavator Mike is another one of the undead GRE agents we've managed to pin down. Big and strong, he's trying to finish what Joe started—destroy both the city and its survivors. He also happens to be carrying a recipe for the GRE potion responsible for his mutations. Luckily for you, you're very much alive and able to use the ""GREcipe"" to your advantage. Kill him to get a blueprint for the special mixture. For a short time, it will grant you infinite stamina and boost some of your stats. With its help, you'll hunt the infected down even more efficiently. While looking for Mike, you might spot some of the supply drops the GRE distributed in an effort to mitigate the damage done by the mutants. Help other players retrieve enough of them and get a King Mod as a thank-you!
Goals:Local goal: Kill Excavator MikeReward: “GREcipe” blueprintGlobal goal: Retrieve 1 000 000 air dropsReward: King Mod
Here, only the best will make it. Become a part of an elite police unit and investigate the dangers lurking in Harran. Form a team with your friends to make sure you’re covered!
The zombies refuse to give up; in fact, their numbers are rising as we speak. With the situation in Harran getting worse by the hour, we’re left with no other choice but to send a Harran Tactical Unit into the city. Become one of these elite officers and give the infected a taste of what happens when professionals enter the scene. Which you’ll do at roaring speed in your new buggy, the Four-Wheeler. By the time zombies see your lights flashing, it will be too late for them to retreat. Clear your way with a special HTU hammer that’ll send your enemies flying with its permanent hypermode effect. Then, open fire before they rally and pick them off with your new rifle or shotgun. Do whatever’s necessary, but remember: the operation must not fail.
The bundle contains:
Protector – a Harran Tactical Unit armor skin
Dispatcher – a Harran Tactical Unit shotgun
Guardian – a Harran Tactical Unit rifle with burst fire
HyperArgument – a Harran Tactical Unit Hammer with permanent hypermode effect
Four-Wheeler – a Harran Tactical Unit buggy skin with police lights effect
Time flies when you’re having fun, and so the last six years of Dying Light passed by at the double. Thank you for being with us! We’re not slowing down, though, as we plan to deliver even more hours of joy, starting right away. Pop the champagne and celebrate six years of Dying Light with a free weekend on Steam and the Zombie Hunt event!
If you or any of your friends still haven’t tried Dying Light, there couldn’t be a better time to fix that! From February 25, you’ll be able to play Dying Light for free on Steam for the entire weekend. Explore Harran, the post-apocalyptic city taken over by zombies. Master parkour and combat skills, learn crafting and fight the infected, as you unravel the mysteries of a deadly infection. Want to play with friends? Try the co-op mode! Test it out, and if you enjoy the game and choose to continue your adventure, you’ll keep all the progress you’ve made!
Although we’re celebrating, the citizens of Harran are still in grave danger. A while ago, the GRE sent their agents into the field, equipping them with special boost potions—the “GREcipe”. Unfortunately, the mission didn’t go off as planned and the operatives died. Now, they walk around Harran as undead, terrorizing the city and wreaking havoc among survivors. And that’s not all. Since the “GREcipe” caused mutations in their bodies, they are not just some regular undead, but tough and strong freaks of nature. It’s going to take skill and wit to hunt them down, but the bounty is generous.
First, find and pacify Hothead Joe, an undead HTU officer. You’ll recognize him by his size and the HTU helmet. Defeat him, and you’ll be free to loot his “HyperArgument” hammer as well as other higher-level items. Being a special goon, he'll also grant you a significant XP boost each time you kill him! When on your way, make sure to also help the survivors scattered around Harran. Assist them, and if the community reaches the goal, you'll be rewarded with a gold weapon! You’ve got one week to deal with Joe and save the survivors, as another freak of nature is already approaching, and he'll be here soon.
Goals:
Local goal: Kill Hothead Joe
Reward: “HyperArgument” hammer
Global goal: Help 100 000 survivors
Reward: Gold weapon
The first week of Zombie Hunt event is live from February 25, 19:00 CET to March 3, 19:00 CET across all platforms.
A Chinese legend says there was once a ferocious creature called Nián. It would emerge from the sea by the end of every lunar year to wreak havoc and feast on animals and humans. It kept coming back, until the villagers learned it was terrified of loud noises, fire, and the color red. That is how the bright and loud Chinese New Year festivities were born—from the villagers’ efforts to ward off the beast.
Let’s welcome the Year of the Ox with a bang to make sure Nián keeps away from Harran. Dress for the occasion with the free Ox Warrior bundle, stuff your pockets full of trap bombs (we’ve increased their damage for the duration of the Lunar Event) and go make some noise in the streets by blowing zombies to pieces. Don’t worry if you can’t craft your own trap bombs – the Quartermasters will supply you daily with 3 pieces of each variant (exploding, shrapnel, toxic). While you’re at it, be sure to pick up some fireworks as well. Available only during the event, these special items will lure monsters like regular firecrackers, then set them aflame as they go off and illuminate the sky with dazzling pyrotechnics. Talk about mixing pleasure with business!
Kill enough zombies with trap bombs and fireworks to complete your personal bounty and claim the gold Leaping Tiger Dao as a reward – forged especially for the occasion. Land at least 3 consecutive hits with this beautiful sword, and its blade will light up with ancient power that grants you a damage boost. Don’t stop there, though, because partying hard will really pay off. If the community reaches its goal, everyone who contributed will earn 3 King Mods. How’s that for kicking off the new lunar year?
A new lunar year has begun, bringing us into the Year of the Ox, a time to celebrate such virtues as strength, honesty, and patience. Needless to say, all these qualities are indispensable in a world taken over by zombies, so we plan to give them a place of honor. Become an ox warrior, and purge Harran of the infected with a new shotgun that will obliterate enemies standing in your way, setting on fire those who, by some miracle, survive the blast.
The bundle contains:
Ox Cannon – a custom single-shot shotgun with a chance to set enemies on fire
Ox Warrior skin – a themed player skin celebrating the Year of the Ox
The festivities will last from February 11, 19:00 CET to February 17, 19:00 CET.
Who said Vikings did not fight zombies? They’d better get their facts straight because there seems to be a precedent in Harran. The deep has washed up a Norseman. What Norseman? – you’d ask. Why, you, of course! And you’ve never looked better. After all, what are some zombies compared to what you’ve already been through? Wars, bloodbath, plundering… Harran surely is just yet another place you’ll conquer. And we’re going to help you.
A true Viking like yourself would never settle for mediocrity, thus, you shalt have the finest gear. Whether you like your conquering style classical or fancy, we’ve got you covered. Two amazing high-end player skins are waiting for you, ready to get besmirched with zombie blood. And since we’re already speaking about blood, you’ll be able to butcher your enemies with a brand-new, shiny sword, axe or shield, which, too, come in two versions! Serve the Infected some old-school slaughter or burn them with fire! Whatever’s to your liking. Finally, you didn’t think we’d leave you without your ship, did you? We made some modifications to adapt it to the new environment and now you can raid Harran like a king in this true raider’s ride. Fair winds and following seas!
The bundle contains:
Two “Raider of Harran” outfits: “Björn the Warrior” and “Björn the Berserker”,
Two two-handed heavy axes: Ragnarök and Ashes of Ragnarök,
Two one-handed swords: The Aesir and The Fiery Aesir,
Two shields: Asgard’s Protector and Asgard’s Wall of Fire,
“Reinen” buggy skin.
The “Viking: Raiders of Harran” bundle will be available on all platforms from February 11.
Participate in the upcoming Double XP event to level up faster, and make your character even stronger!

We hope you haven't run out of eggnog – the holiday is not over yet. Those zombies really did take a leaf out of the Grinch's book, trying to steal the presents and ruin the festive mood in Harran. They’re extremely persistent, that’s for sure, but you can’t give up. More chasing and snowballs sound just like what they need to leave the childrens’ gifts alone once and for all, and who’s better to give it to them than Supercrane? The kids will be happy, the Quartermaster – overjoyed. And you? You’d better still have your holiday tree because a little something may appear under it again.
Goals:
Personal Goal: Collect 20 Christmas presents
Reward: Holiday outfit – Season’s Eatings
Global Goal: Collect 2,500,000 Christmas presents
Reward: Grandma's Eggnog blueprint
Enjoy the second Christmas in Harran from December 28, 19:00 CET to January 4, 19:00 CET.
Jump into your winter sweater, grab the good old Grandma’s Eggnog and rush to the rescue, as the smiles of the children in Harran are in your hands! This Christmas is going to be busy – gobli… I mean, zombies are stealing the presents, and only you can stop them. None will escape Supercrane. Chase them with your boosted grappling hook or challenge them to a snowball fight. You’ll be the one throwing, they – the ones getting hit. Think of it as a Christmas gift. For yourself, from yourself. As for us, we’re giving you something special. Bring the retrieved presents to the Quartermaster and you just might find some weapons and blueprints under your tree.
Goals:
Personal Goal: Collect 20 Christmas presents
Reward: Frosthander (sword with a chance to freeze enemies on hit)
Global Goal: Collect 2,500,000 Christmas presents
Reward: Snowball blueprint
