Though most seek shelter as the All-Hallows Eve arrives, you fear no monster, no creature of the night. For you are Van Crane, the slayer of horrors, and Halloween is but a feast to you. Your outfit, enchanted with blood, allows you to call any thrown weapon back to you. So take zombies by surprise, and cut off their heads when they least expect it. That’s what you’re known for anyway.
With a set of these day and night weapons, you’ll be the end of the undead.As soon as you reach for the Dawnlight, your deadly pistol, they’ll know the hunt has begun. Find a good spot to make sure you have time to load it with your silver bullet, and obliterate even the strongest monster with a single shot. Then, roll from behind the corner, and vanquish what’s left with your crossbow, the Heart Piercer—showing its true potential just when the sun sets. And if you some ungodly creatures are still trying to escape their fate, purge them with your Sword of Night, which draws its power directly from the Moon. The streets of Harran must be cleansed, and you, Van Crane, have sworn to never rest until it’s done.

When the spookiest night of the year comes, the deadliest horrors dress up and flood the city’s streets, looking for candy blood. For this trick-or-treating, you’ll need a really large candy bag. And maybe some reliable weapons too. Volatile (sugar) rush has made them much more sensitive to sounds during Halloween, so any noise you make will alarm and lure them to you. Use your Super Crane’s powers to wipe those carved smiles off their pumpkin faces, and don’t forget to collect their trick-or-treat potions. Warning: Use with caution! Their effects can be… surprising.
The community will want to collect as many of these as possible, so help them, and you’ll definitely be rewarded. And don’t forget to get rid of the Goons, Virals, and Volatiles! They disguised themselves, but don’t be fooled. They’re no trick-or-treaters. Finish the bounties, though, and you’ll see there’s something nice waiting for you in return.

The Halloween event will launch on PC and consoles on October 28th (19:00 CEST) and will last until November 8th (19:00 CEST).
The aura on the other side of the portal is changing… As Lucius’ lost ancient power was flowing through Hellraid, awaiting an adventurer who could tame it, it has found a new vessel. Prove your dedication and mastery of your skills to get hold of that raw magic, and you’ll grasp might beyond understanding. Are you worthy of holding the Fire Wand, the weapon allowing you to command flames themselves? Enter the hellish dungeon, and face the trial.
The new challenge comes with a whole new map section for you to explore, and a new skill—Wand Mastery. Unlocking it will allow you to use the Fire Wand, the new fireball-shooting weapon. During your next visit to Hellraid, you’ll also see we’ve added three new potions that will make you even more powerful, so give them a try! And if you’ve finished the Imprisonment quest, you'll gain access to the armory, where you’ll be able to exhibit the weapons you’ve gained through your Hellraid ranks. Make sure to show them off, and see you on the other side!

We’ve added three new portals leading to the new challenge rooms
Players can now unlock a new skill—Wand Mastery—to use the new weapon—Fire Wand
Three new potions—potion of endurance, potion of speed, and potion of power—are now available in Hellraid
Players will gain access to the armory once they’ve finished the Imprisonment quest
Over the next couple of days everything you do in Dying Light will be rewarded with a double amount of experience points. The bonus applies to all skill trees, including Legend. That means it’s a great opportunity to significantly bulk up your character regardless of whether you’re still in the midst of the story campaign or have already finished it.
