With every league release, we review and rebalance many aspects of Path of Exile to update and reinvigorate old mechanics while trimming some power from strategies that stand too far above the rest. This time around, our changes are far more thorough. You can read the full Expedition Balance Manifesto here.

In the Expedition League, you'll be able to earn exclusive microtransactions by completing 40 new challenges. At 12, 24 and 36 challenges, you'll earn the Expedition Footprints, Expedition Weapon Effect and Expedition Portal Effect respectively. Completing challenges also grants you pieces of the Expedition Totem Pole Hideout decoration. You can have a look at them below!


You'll be able to check out the full list of challenges you need to complete for these rewards when Path of Exile: Expedition launches for PC on July 23rd and for console on July 28th.

On July 15th at 1pm (PDT), we will reveal the full details of our upcoming 3.15 expansion via an exclusive livestream. This post contains everything you need to know before the livestream starts.

The livestream will start at 1pm (PDT) on July 15th. If in doubt, check out the countdown on the front page of our website.

We'll start the livestream by revealing the trailer for our 3.15 expansion followed by a deep dive into all of the new content and features that are being introduced to Path of Exile in the expansion. There are some other big reveals contained within the livestream that you are likely not expecting.

Following the reveals, ZiggyD will join Chris Wilson live for a Q&A with questions from Twitch chat. The entire livestream, including the Q&A, will most likely be an hour and a half to two hours long.

Tune in at http://www.twitch.tv/pathofexile to watch the livestream. We also welcome co-streaming of the announcement so you'll be able to watch the stream alongside your favourite streamers on their channels. Be sure to encourage them to get involved!

Our regular announcement page will unlock once information has been revealed on the livestream. Keep an eye on the news forum as well for bonus posts about some of the exciting things we are planning to reveal. The individual videos from the announcement will also be available on our YouTube channel.

Whether resenting your victories or revelling in your losses, the Trialmaster had the perfect quips for every occasion. Before we say goodbye to the undead entity of Chaos in our 3.15 expansion, we wanted to share some of our favourite lines from Ultimatum.

Should you be skilled and lucky enough to claim victory, you may hear lines such as:

• You've been winning, but can you keep it up?
  
• Random chance must dictate you win... occasionally.
  
• I hope you have enjoyed your brief string of victories.
  
• I am being punished, aren't I?
  
• This time you will finally lose.
  
• I should have become a priest of Yaomac instead…

Challengers that are acquainted with a loss or two may be familiar with these lines:

• You never win, yet you keep trying…
  
• You know the goal is to succeed, yes?
  
• Yes, come lose a trial. Productive.
  
• How embarrassing for you.
  
• Win some... lose most.
  
• Now you understand what NOT to do.
  
• Your path to greatness has taken a hard turn toward a cliff.

But no matter how well you perform, some of our favourite Trialmaster lines are about how long you last.

• The single-round challenger returns.
  
• How ever will you match that last incredible performance?
  
• You only made it six rounds last time. Why do you bother?
  
• No glory in only making it four rounds.
  
• I sincerely hope you intend to last longer than two rounds.

The Trialmaster may return in the future, but the burn of his iconic one-liners will stay with us forever.

The Ultimatum League ends on PC on Monday July 19th at 2PM PDT, so this is your last week to complete any unfinished challenges. On consoles, the Ultimatum League will end when the 3.15 expansion goes live on July 28th PDT.

When the league ends, private leagues for 3.15 will become available shortly after so that you can prepare ahead of time for its launch. The exclusive Ultimatum Brimmed Hat will also leave the store forever! If you want to show your support for the league, be sure to check it out.
