• The ZTZ96A (P) is an MBT that features a unique turret armor layout and the JD-3 optical-electronic suppression system. This tank can fire 125mm HEAT-FS, or a heavy hitting APFSDS shell with over 450 mm of armor penetration. Additionally, the ZTZ99A (P) can find enemies with a thermal imager, and fire these rounds accurately with its laser rangefinder, making it a strong tank at rank VII!
  
  
  
• The A-5C is a rank VI export variant of the Q-5, created at the request of the Pakistan Air Force. This attack aircraft features two 23 mm cannons, countermeasures and powerful Matra Magic air-to-air missiles. For ground targets, it features large high-explosive rockets as well as bombs, which can be aimed accurately with the ballistic computer.

These two tanks are temporarily available for 8,380 and 8,730 Golden Eagles respectively.

• The Type 69-IIa is an export variant of the Type 69, created for the Iraqi Army. This tank is better protected and equipped with a laser rangefinder and smoke grenades. Thanks to its 100 mm rifled gun found on the Type 59, the Type 69-IIA is great in the sniper role at rank V!
  
  
  
• The Т-62 №545 is a Soviet tank that was captured by the Chinese Army. It has everything needed for a good MBT — mobility, a two-plane stabilizer that allows you to maintain accuracy, good frontal armor and powerful shells. This tank can be found at rank VI in the Chinese ground forces tree.

The New Lunar Year is coming! The wise snake has created a magic box containing ancient artifacts. What commanders fought for in the past, you can obtain with a handful of silver — may luck smile upon you!

This box is available to players who have at least one researchable vehicle at rank II or higher on their account.

The Snake Box contains vehicles and camouflages, decals and decorations, player icons and loading screens from past game events such as Chronicles of World War II and Pages of History, World War and May events, as well as War Thunder birthdays. Our main goal is to ensure War Thunder is a fair place and that all players get their frags and victories through their own efforts and not with the help of third-party software. To find and ban players who use prohibited programs, we use anti-cheat systems and check player complaints. You can use the battle replay function on our website to report players who you suspect have violated the game’s Terms of Service and the License Agreement. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

Since our last fair play, we’ve blocked 4802 accounts that were found to have violated the rules. Specifically 3.2.3 of the EULA namely in the automation of gameplay (using bots) and cheat software. For complete transparency, we’re publishing the full list of these banned players. This list will be available for two weeks after the publication of this article.


We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator), and Telegram bot, which we suggest trying if SMS 2FA messages are not reaching you.

We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your Gaijin account for additional security, as this will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use prohibited client modifications and never share your account information with anyone.

• Attica — the hills in squares C2-3 and E2-3 have been made more level. The ability to take overly advantageous positions in squares B5, C3 and F4 have been removed to improve the balance of each side.

• The https://wiki.warthunder.com/unit/boomerang_mkii is an Australian-made aircraft that was widely used in the Pacific theater of World War II. The Mk.II is highly maneuverable, armed with 20 mm cannons and 7.7 mm machine guns. And unlike the first model, it’s capable of carrying two 250 lb bombs for ground attack.
  
• The https://wiki.warthunder.com/unit/spitfire_ix_plagis was flown by RAF ace John Plagis in 1944. This fighter is armed with two 20 mm Hispano cannons and four 7.7 mm Browning machine guns. The Su-7B, designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau, was accepted into service on January 24th 1961. It received many modifications and was used by Warsaw Pact countries, North Korea, India, Afghanistan, Algeria, Syria, Egypt and Iraq, participating in various conflicts in the 1960s-1980s.

This premium strike aircraft can be purchased at a 30% discount for 6,363 Golden Eagles.

• The Su-7BMK is one of the most modern modifications of the Su-7B. It’s durable, accelerates quickly, can reach a top speed of nearly 2,300 km/h and is armed with a pair of 30 mm NR-30 cannons that can take out aircraft and light vehicles. For ground vehicles and bases, you’ll find a wide range of bombs and rockets!

• A-6E TRAM, F-4F KWS LV — a bug that caused the azimuth steering line to not be visible in CCRP mode has been fixed (Report).

• Pz.IV (C, E, F2, G, H) — turret rotation speed has been increased from 15°/s to 16°/s. (Report).
  
• Tetrarch I — turret rotation speed value has been increased from 16°/s to 21°/s. (Report).
  
• ZSU-57-2 — turret rotation speed value has been decreased from 60°/s to 30°/s. (Report).

• The [Conquest #3] Campania mission has been disabled in all game modes due to the positions of the spawn points and capture point which lead to players ignoring the capture point and confronting the enemy spawn instead.

• BattlEye anti-cheat has been enabled for Linux.

• In Naval Battles, the rules for creating game sessions (matchmaking) have been changed:
  
  • The minimum number of players required to start a session has been reduced.
    
  • The number of ships controlled by AI (system named bots) in sessions of all Battle Ratings has been increased to the maximum (32).
    
  • The time during which players can join an ongoing battle has been increased (if the corresponding setting is enabled).
• These changes are aimed at creating battles faster, even with a small number of players in the queue. At the same time, the maximum team size remains unchanged (equal to 16). So if there are enough players in the queue, they can get into the same battle, which in this case will be held in the format of “16 players vs. 16 players” without the addition of AI-controlled ships.

• Battle tasks that need different interactions with enemy players to be completed (for example, destruction or damage) can now be completed against system named bots as well.

Be sure to take a look at the German BV 238 bomber! It carries 20 x 250 kg bombs and can protect itself with powerful 20 mm autocannons and 13 mm quad mounts. This was one of Germany’s largest aircraft in World War II!

A French rank II fighter, best fitted for low-altitude combat. Unlike the previous P-40 variants, this one is armed with six 12.7 mm machine guns. It’s also fast and has access to bombs.


A mobile Japanese Class II destroyer with limited firepower but access to fast and deadly 610 mm Type 93 torpedoes.


The Czech LT vz. 38 light tank produced under license in Sweden. Its light armor is compensated by mobility, good gun depression and shells with great armor penetration.


An impressive German bomber at rank II, featuring a huge bomb load, 20 mm autocannons and 13 mm machine guns as defensive armament. And it can land on water!


A Soviet rank II gunboat with a 76 mm tank gun with high-explosive and armor-piercing shells, as well as dual 14.5 mm machine guns for fighting aircraft and other vessels.


A Canadian tank on the chassis of the American M3. This second variant featured a 57 mm cannon instead of a 40 mm. It boasts good penetration and fire rate, effective protection, and can lay an engine smoke screen for a tactical retreat — something fairly unique for a tank at this rank.



We’ve lined up some decals for you this time round and have included a trophy with decals from the 2017-2018 Warbond shop, as well as the new “Ulfhednar” pinup, continuing this series of themed decals. In the “Helmets” trophy, you’ll find helmet decorations in the form of infantry helmets and tank crews of various nations, and the player icon trophy this time features some Soviet tankers.
