From June 24th (10:00 GMT) until June 27th (7:00 GMT)

Play 3 battles using German vehicles (rank III or higher, with an activity of not less than 70%) to receive the “Bundeswehr Day” decal.

In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game.

Please feel free to leave your feedback on these changes in the dedicated "It’s fixed! №53" thread

Gotta collect them all!

Reward loading screens are a picturesque gallery along your war path. Previously, you were able only to choose from any achieved loading screens, having little idea which are available to you.

It’s fixed! In the loading screens menu you are now able to toggle both achieved and available screens. To track your progress in achieving the loading screen you want, just add it in the “Favourites”.

Naval hit camera has been improved

The hit camera in naval battles is probably even more important than in ground battles. It allows you to visualise any damage and the actual condition of the enemy vessel.

We have tuned the camera to make it more comfortable to devastate your enemies at sea. Zoom-in on the hit is now reduced, the camera flies smoothly and zooms out after showing the detailed damage to present you a whole picture of your enemy.

Also, we have fixed the incorrect display of the enemy crew in the hit camera. Enjoy!

Re-animation

In the Danger Zone update we reworked the animation system, which unfortunately caused a few visual issues. At the moment, we continue to fix the bugs, and have completed many of them. Over 30 aircraft, such as Wellington, Su-8, SBD-3 and Ki-84, have their fixes of the flaps, air brakes, and rudders for the third-person view. On the next stage, we will fix a number of the cockpit view issues.

Afford more napalm

Napalm has gotten cheaper! Incendiary bombs now calculates aside from other types of weapons and costs 3-10% from the carrier aircraft’s RP cost.

Making it simple, you may complete your weapon setup with napalm bombs for a lower RP cost.

Helicopter missiles seeker fixed

Recently, air-to-air lock-on got broken on the helicopters, and players were unable to see the acquisition marker. Thanks to your reports, the issue is located and terminated. Thank you!

More improvements

For this digest we have prepared a large set of useful fixes and game improvements. Be sure to read the full list below - there are many interesting things.

Interface
  • Available loading screens now displayed in the loading screen filter menu. To track your progress on the desired screen you may add it to “Favourite”.
  • Duplicating colour schemes have been removed from the aircraft interface menu.

Meet two very unusual Premium jets from the upcoming Danger Zone update: The Saudi Lightning F.53 with fancy rocket pods, and the Italian Ariete - a light twin engined jet fighter based on Sagittario 2.

Lightning F.53
One of the fastest jet interceptors in the game reinforcing the land war! The Lightning F.53, resplendant in Royal Saudi Air Force livery, was an export version of the well-known F.6 modification equipped with pylons for bombs and rockets. The fun fact is, that part of the pylons are mounted above the wings! The fighter could carry up to 144 SNEB anti-tank unguided rockets, complemented with up to 48 RN rockets in the rocket bay, and 540 or 1,000 lbs bombs. Similar to the F.6, the Premium Lightning could be equipped with a pair of air-to-air missiles - Red Top, Firestreak, or both. Fuselage-mounted fast firing ADEN 30mm cannons deal annihilating damage to aerial and lightly armored ground targets. The rocket fast Lightning F.53 jet fighter will become available as a part of a special pack in the Store right after the Danger Zone update goes live!

Ariete
For its time, the Sagittario 2 turned out to be a very decent fighter, but due to the limited power it could hardly be used as an interceptor. The experimental Aerfer Ariete fighter is a bold attempt to improve the aircraft's takeoff and landing characteristics and give it additional thrust in dogfight by installing an additional engine. The main power plant, the Rolls-Royce Derwent Mk.20, located in the fuselage redan, was augmented by the tiny but powerful Rolls-Royce Soar in the tail. With a weight of just over 120 kg, the engine was capable of delivering 840 kgf of thrust, which was more than handy for re-profiling the Sagittario 2 into an interceptor. However, the complexity and unreliability of the design did not allow the project to leave the prototype stage. Luckily, everything is possible in War Thunder! Ariete will become a new Premium in the Italian aviation tech tree and will be available for purchase with Golden Eagles immediately after the release of the Danger Zone update. A very light and small single-seat aircraft able to activate its additional engine in WEP mode, thanks to which it easily climbs and accelerates to almost sonic speed even at minimum altitude. This fighter has no suspended armament, but thanks to a pair of fast-firing 30mm cannons, it is well suited for destroying enemy bombers and attack aircraft at low and medium altitudes.
