The Peacock-class, was a class of five corvettes built for the Royal Navy in the mid 1980’s, specifically with the purpose of serving in the Hong Kong region. Soon, British captains in War Thunder will have the opportunity to stand behind the helm of this unique warship arriving with the “Raining Fire!” major update!

In War Thunder, the Peacock corvette will be a new vessel awaiting all captains at rank II of the British naval tree in the upcoming update. Staying true to the British “slow and steady” approach, the Peacock corvette offers its aspiring captains a much different experience than most other vessels found at the second rank of the British naval tree.

Beginning with the Peacock’s firepower; unlike most other vessels at the lower ranks which captains may have already become familiar with, Peacock is armed with just a single 76 mm OTO cannon in the bow of the ship. This making up its entire weapons arsenal means that captains will need to come up with different ways of taking on different opponents since charging every enemy in this vessel will certainly not always be a viable option. On the other hand, the familiar fast-firing 76 mm OTO cannon has already proven itself in War Thunder naval battles as a reliable and most effective weapon, both when used against surface targets as well as against aircraft.

The Peacock corvette is arriving at rank II of the British naval tree as part of the upcoming major update and will be available to research for all captains upon the update’s release. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to the news as we continue sharing what other exciting new things the “Raining Fire!” update for War Thunder has in store for you. Until then, calm seas captains!

The upcoming War Thunder update brings with it a special treat for all pilots and fans of the P-47 Thunderbolt series of aircraft in particular. Namely, as part of the next major update “Raining Fire” coming to War Thunder, we plan on adding a couple of new highly anticipated versions of the legendary Thunderbolt!

The next major update to War Thunder will bring with it an abundance of new vehicles, features and more. However, at the same time, we haven’t forgotten about some of the veterans in the game and we’re happy to present to our pilots two new versions of one of the oldest machines in War Thunder - the American P-47 Thunderbolt - coming to the game with the release of the incoming major update!

The next major War Thunder update introduces two new versions of the popular P-47 Thunderbolt - the P-47D-22 RE for US pilots, and the Thunderbolt Mk.I for our RAF pilots. Being earlier models of the Thunderbolt, these two versions distinguish themselves from the familiar later models with their signature ‘Razorback’ design - the original design of the P-47 prior to the introduction of the bubble canopy with the D-25 variant. Propheads and fans of American aviation have been adamantly requesting the addition of these well-known earlier Thunderbolt models for some time and we’re happy to finally give them a chance to pilot these machines starting from War Thunder: Raining Fire update. There’s more to come!

British pilots won’t be missing out on the fun either, as their favorite aviation tree will see their mid ranks reinforced with the additions of the Thunderbolt Mk.I. This represents some of the final production variants of the Razorback Thunderbolts, incorporating all the improvements of the previous variants in addition to possessing a higher payload capacity, similar to the familiar later Thunderbolt modifications.

The much anticipated early models of the P-47 Thunderbolt will be making their way to War Thunder with the upcoming update and we highly encourage all pilots to give the new warbirds some flight time. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to the news for more information regarding the next major update “Raining Fire” coming to the game very soon. Until then, clear skies pilots!

Welcome to a new location for naval battles - "Aleutian Islands", that we plan to add to the game with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire

The volcanic Aleutian Islands archipelago, located between Alaska and Kamchatka, became the target of Japan's diversionary operation to capture Midway during World War II. It is here, with the release of the Raining Fire update, battles between naval vessels and aircraft of War Thunder will begin. The harsh northern climate has made this archipelago almost lifeless with only the sea, rocks and rare vegetation. Amongst this grim beauty you will find a small naval base with a maintenance dock, a lighthouse and a few rare buildings.

You will be able to meet the challenge in the new and interesting location "Aleutian Islands" very soon with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire.

The CM25 is a tank hunter modification of the CM21 - a Taiwanese APC based on the widespread American M113. Coming as part of the upcoming update, the CM25 will soon await all seasoned tank commanders as the new top tank destroyer of the Chinese ground forces tree!

In War Thunder, the CM25 will be the new top tank destroyer arriving to the Chinese ground forces tree with the next major update. Although very similar in both performance and appearance to the M113A1 TOW already familiar to some tankers, the CM25 distinguishes itself from its predecessor by carrying more powerful versions of the TOW anti-tank guided missile!

As already mentioned, the CM25 shares a great deal of similarity to the M113A1 TOW, already present at the top ranks of the Chinese ground forces tree. Visual differences aside, the CM25 is slightly heavier than its American counterpart thanks to its larger spaced armor elements on the sides of the hull. While offering an incremental improvement in protection as a result, the effect won’t really be felt by tankers in the heat of combat. In all other aspects, the CM25 is neigh identical to its American counterpart.

The CM25 will be arriving at the top ranks of the Chinese ground forces tree as part of the next major update to War Thunder and will become the crowning jewel of the Chinese tank destroyer line. In the meantime, make sure to stay tuned to the news to find out more about the upcoming major update. Until then, happy hunting tankers!

The SEPECAT Jaguar was the result of a joint Anglo-French development project to design a new supersonic attack aircraft during the 1960’s. Coming in hot with the War Thunder: Raining Fire update, the highly anticipated Jaguar will soon be joining the top ranks of the British and French aviation trees!

In War Thunder, the highly anticipated SEPECAT Jaguar is finally arriving to the top ranks of the French and British aviation trees with the release of the upcoming update Raining Fire. Thanks to its good handling characteristics, adequate speed and vast array of secondary weapons options, the Jaguar is set to become the crowning jewel of the French and British attacker family of aircraft upon its arrival to the game as part of the next War Thunder major update!

The Jaguar is powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour turbofan engines, generating up to 3,348 kgf of force with the afterburners engaged. As a result, the aircraft can reach a top speed of up to Mach 1.4 (1,670 km/h). Although not exactly matching the flight performance of some other machines found at the top rank, it’s worth noting that the Jaguar is an attacker first and foremost with the ability to hold its own in a dogfight if necessary.

The SEPECAT Jaguar is coming in hot with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire update and will soon reinforce the top ranks of the British and French aviation trees with an excellent jet attacker that is sure to find many fans among War Thunder pilots! In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to the news to be kept up to date with all the latest information surrounding the next major update coming to the game. Until then, clear skies pilots!

120mm naval guns on the chassis of Japanese Chi-Ha tanks were supposed to hit the landing American troops with direct fire. The mobile coastal artillery was to be the last-chance weapon to save Japan from the Allied invasion.

The Chi-Ha Long Gun will appear in our game with the release of the War Thunder: “Raining Fire” update, the self-propelled gun will join the ranks of rank I vehicles in the Japanese ground forces research tree. Vehicles of this class are widely represented in the game and have their fans. The advantages of such vehicles are huge firepower and acceptable mobility, the disadvantages are low protection and rather high visibility.

The Chi-Ha Long Gun is a classic of the "glass cannon". The absence of a turret and the high seating position of the gun operators makes the crew open to any damage, including machine gun fire, aviation and artillery strikes. However, the huge damage of the gun makes the risk to the crew justified to strategists - the 120mm naval gun fires only high-explosive fragmentation shells, each of which contains almost 2 kg of explosives in TNT equivalent! After each shot, you need to look for cover, it will take the crew some time to reload the giant cannon. The Chi-Ha Long Gun gets to the shelter quickly enough - even a heavy cannon does not prevent the Chi-Ha chassis from accelerating to a speed of just over 40 km / h.

The Chi-Ha Long Gun will be a good addition to the starting setups of Japanese vehicles. Each shot from this self-propelled gun inflicts critical damage to light protected targets, but every enemy shot threatens to immediately send the brave Japanese to the hangar. Put the Chi-Ha Long Gun to the test with the release of our big update, War Thunder: “Raining Fire” - it won't be long!
