Defenders! We are simultaneously humbled and ecstatic to announce our upcoming collaboration with KingsIsle's critically-acclaimed MMO; Wizard101! Beginning tomorrow, September 24th until January 5th, 2025, limited-time crossover content will be available in both games!

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... a pig? That's right, Etheria is embracing the magic with the introduction of Piggles! Three Piggle variants will join Dungeon Defenders 2 as premium pet companions; the Baby Piggle, Piggle, and Ravenwood Piggle, Additionally, the Dragon Fruit—a Wizard City delicacy—will appear rarely in pet food boxes for the duration of this event.

These Piggles have brought a touch of Ravenwood's magic with them in the form of unique abilities;
  • Freeze Ray - Fires a bouncing freezing ray dealing 1500% frost Hero Damage and freezing enemies for 3 seconds.
  • Meteor Strike - Fires a fireball that calls down a meteor dealing 3000% Fire Hero Damage and igniting enemies for 5 seconds.
  • Insane Bolt - Fires a lighting ball that calls down a lightning bolt dealing 2500% electric Hero Damage and electrocuting enemies for 3 seconds.
  • Invigoration - Resets all hero ability cooldowns and then heals 10% of mana and health every second for 10 seconds.

As Dungeon Defenders 2 welcomes the Piggles, the Propeller Cat soars into Wizard City to aid wizards in their ever-evolving quest to preserve the sanctity of The Spiral!

This collaboration has been a long time in the making, and we can hardly contain our excitement seeing it finally come to fruition. We're honored to both be featured within, and feature content from KingsIsle Entertainment's Wizard101, as we recognize the nostalgia and entertainment its provided millions since its release, including many of us here at Chromatic Games! Please join us and share your excitement on socials, or our Discord server.

  • Fixed description of the 'Call of Scarecrow' ability.
  • Fixed Whole Grain Guard and Bruised Apple consumable VFX persisting after players leave a game.
Dungeon Defenders II - ChromaticJoe
Greetings, Defenders! A crisp Autumn chill can be felt flowing throughout Dragonfall, which can mean only one thing; the Harvest Moon Festival is nigh!

The Harvest Moon Festival is an in-game event spanning two weeks, featuring new limited-time pets and a new vendor; Farmer Tom! This event will end the morning of September 24th!

Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom makes his grand debut in Dragonfall, bringing a bounty of fresh goods at unbeatable prices. He has a bit of a dilemma, however. His trusty scarecrow companion has gone missing during his travels, and he's desperately searching for it! Help Farmer Tom reunite with his beloved scarecrow with the aid of his power-granting produce!

Event Consumables
Farmer Tom can be found in the Tavern and Town Hub selling Harvest Bags. These can be purchased once each day for 100 gold, and contain a variety of the following;

  • Bruised Apple - Causes your face to pucker from its sour taste. Increases health by 25% and reduces damage taken by 35% from pure determination!
  • Carrot Dash - Grants heroes the speed and agility of a rabbit! Gain 500 movement speed and a 15% chances to dodge attacks while active.
  • Fruitimal - Upon consumption your basic attacks will fire a bouncing fruitimal. This produce projectile will explode upon contact with an enemy, dealing 750% hero damage as poison damage.
  • Popcorn Burst - When defeated, enemies explode into a popcorn shower dealing 10% of their max health as AoE damage to surrounding enemies.
  • Radish Rocket - Hero will periodically shoot radish rockets. These rapid roots home-in on enemies and explode, dealing 3000% ability power.
  • Squash Smash - Heroes unleash a small shockwave whenever you land from a jump, dealing 100% of hero damage and slowing nearby enemies by 50%. "Oh my gourd!" - some goblin, probably.
  • Whole Grain Guard - The hero is enveloped in a freshly baked, protective aura of whole grains. This grants 15% damage reduction and causes enemies that strike the hero to take 500% damage in return.
Some of these effects have been adjusted in the name of balance since our original Harvest Moon Festival announcement.

Scarecrow Pets

Scarecrows scare crows, but they also make for great pets! Three scarecrow variants will be obtainable during this event;

  • Scarecrow Ghost - The Scarecrow Ghost pet will be obtainable as a very rare drop from any rewards chest at the end of a game, regardless of Chaos level or map.
  • Scarecrow - The Scarecrow will be available to purchase from the Emporium for 400 gems.
  • Gold Scarecrow - The Gold Scarecrow will be available to purchase from the Black Market Dealer for 250 million gold.
All scarecrows share the ability; Call of Scarecrow.

  • Ability: Call of Scarecrow – Fires a cursed apple that—upon impact—summons a scarecrow that confuses enemies. Enemies are confused for 10 seconds and take 25% increased damage.
Emporium

  • Harvest Witch Gunwitch Costume - The Harvest Witch (and her trusty raven companion) creep through the crimson light of the blood-red moon, collecting their bounties from unsuspecting members of the Old One's Army. The Harvest Witch costume is available to purchase from the Emporium for 1200 gems and will continue to be available after the conclusion of the Harvest Moon Festival.

Holidays in July!

Attention, defenders! It's getting a little toasty here at the studio, so we decided to beat the heat with a holiday-themed timed event for Dungeon Defenders II! During the last week of July, enjoy double Defender Pass experience, as well as the return of a (usually) holiday-excusive pet; the Snow Mage!

The Snow Mage will be obtainable as a rare drop from all victory chests for the duration of the event.

This event doesn't actually help us cool down at all, but it is a fun distraction. Have fun!
