Card Masters within the game allow players to combine cards in order to have a chance at attaining a rare-quality card.
The first step is to find a Card Master, and buy a Card Synthesis Stone.
Then you’ll want to talk to the Card Master again in order to bring up the Combine option.
This will finally bring you to the Card Combine window.
Place your cards in the slots on the top, or right-click them, and then place the card synthesis stone in the bottom.
Once you hit combine, it will merge the cards into one, and if you are successful it will give you a new card!
Card Synthesis has a chance to fail, and the player would receive nothing, but there is an item in the Kafra Shop that would make sure you don’t lose all your cards.
That item is called Card Designated Synthesis.
You can acquire it by itself, or in a bundle box.
The Card Designated Synthesis item can be placed next to the Card Synthesis Stone.
This allows the player to select a card to save in case of a failed attempt, and gives the player a preview of the rare-quality card they can receive.
Combine, and you have a chance to get a rare card!
Gather cards, find a Card Master, and start combining!

Two new items in the Kafra Shop allow players to combine costumes and accessories in order to get new ones with rune sockets.
For this example, I will use the Costume Fusion Tablet.
Once you right-click the Costume Fusion Tablet, you will see the following window:
The three slots at the top are for additional items. These additional items are Appearance Maintain Slate (An ingredient to maintain the appearance of rare costume) and Rune Maintain Slate (An ingredient to maintain the runes inside the costume).
Once you have placed your two costumes, and any additional slates, you will be able to choose if you want a Random costume or select one of the options at the bottom (if you have not used an Appearance Maintain Slate).
Hit the Combine button, and get your costume! In this case, I used an Appearance Maintain Slate, and was able to keep the appearance of my Gothic Loli costume.

Unions have come to Ragnarok Online 2. Now, level 50 players can choose to ally themselves with one of six different Unions. Once joined with a Union, players can participate in the Union quests to receive Union Points. These points can then be exchanged for unique items, including special Union costumes.
Here are the six Unions players can choose from:
Note that you do not have to be of that class to join a union. For example, if you are a Hunter, you can choose to join the Magic Academy Union.
If a Union doesn’t work for you, you can choose to leave a Union. To do so, complete or abandon any Union quests currently accepted, and leave by clicking on “Leave Union” after right-clicking its icon. Remember that if you leave a Union, you cannot re-join or join another Union until 48 hours has passed.
Once you finish quests, you recieve Union Points. You can exchange these points at Union NPCs.
These are the six different Union costumes you can purchase when you have earned enough Union Points. Note that there are female and male versions of these permanent costumes for each union.
Curious to what kind of monsters you would need to hunt and defeat? Here is one to feast your eyes on.
