We're thrilled to announce a new tournament and the brand new Reckless Car Pack!
For past month, we've been having a whole lot of snowy fun during the Winter Fest tournament, but now it's time to say goodbye to wintery shenanigans and brace yourself - a storm is coming, and not just any storm but Wrecknado, a whirlwind of destruction!
The undisputed star of this tournament is the new track Wrecknado, designed for maximum mayhem and featuring high banked loops that feed the hapless racers into the vortex of destruction in the middle. Your job is to take the new DLC car Gorbie and cause as much as destruction as you can, all while racing for the victory. Awaiting the best wreckers are two new bundles in the Tournament Shop, the "Taxi Wrecker" bundle for Rammer RS and "Drag 55" for Bulldog. Let the wrecking commence!
If you've been itching to get your hands on some new rides, we also have great news for you: the latest DLC "Reckless Car Pack" is now available! This pack expands your garage with three new unique rides, and like always, we got something for everyone here: Gorbie is the offbeat community favorite that's pure fun to drive (check out the epic engine sound!) and even more fun to demolish, Blade is an 80s styled American racing car that looks way too fast even when standing still, and Stepvan is a pop culture classic with which you're going to be not only serving maximum damage but ice cream! And if you're not into ice cream, fret not, because sure enough we've got bonus paint jobs for all your utilitarian needs. This DLC pack is included in Season Pass 2 so if you're lucky enough have that, you're already good to go!
We're also actively working on improving the gameplay experience based on your feedback, and this release contains a number of additional enhancements and bug fixes. We invite you to check out the release notes below for a complete summary of items fixed or improved upon. As always, thanks for all the feedback and please keep it coming!

As you know, in many parts of the world it's that magical time of the year again that the white powdery stuff covers everything into its blanket. Yes, that's snow! As some of you might remember, a few years back we did a holiday special featuring snow, and since many of you have been hoping to see something similar again, we just couldn't leave you all out cold. So, sure enough snow has covered the Valley of Bugbear once again! And what's even more fun is that this time we got snowballs too!
That's right: No winter would be complete without glistening snow, slippery roads, and of course, snowball fights! Since we're talking about Wreckfest here, the snowballs in the headlining tournament event "Snowball Run" are of pretty destructive type, and tossing one unleashes a whirlwind of vehicular destruction wrecking anything in its path. Let's see who's going to be the toughest snowball fighter! The sideshow events are keeping it in the spirit as well, with winter-themed demolition races, demolition derbies and time attacks guaranteed to offer sideways going, sheet metal tearing wintry fun. Make sure to check them all out because awaiting the top players we have a very special prize: a wicked new tournament reward car Starbeast SS, sure to strike the right chords with the fans of the Early Access version of the car.
Besides, we're always actively working on improving the gameplay experience based on the feedback, and thus this release contains a number of additional enhancements and bug fixes. We invite you to check out the release notes below for a complete summary of items fixed or improved upon. As always, thanks for all the feedback!

For a long time now, the front-wheel drive cars have been the unappreciated underdogs of the Wreckfest roster but that's going to change now! The celebrate the addition of another front-wheel drive car, we've improved the handling of the existing ones as well so they're decidedly more fun to pilot now. You don't have to take our word for it, though, instead take them out for a spin yourself!
SUPPORT FOR CUSTOM WHEELS
In other news, we have exciting news for the owners of Direct Drive wheels! We've added a solution to make the game recognize them as steering wheels, so you can finally enjoy Wreckfest with all the glory of unparalleled force feedback effects provided by your wheel! We are providing definitions for certain SimuCube and Leo Bodnar devices straight out of the box, but it's also very easy to configure your own device.
To do so, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the tools folder in the game's installation folder. 2. Run the provided "DeviceOut" tool, preferably piping the output to an text file ("DeviceOut.exe >output.txt"). 3. Open the output, find the GUID of your steering wheel and copy it on the clipboard. 4. Open "customWheels.json" in the game's installation folder. 5. Paste the GUID of your device on top of the GUID of the "EXAMPLE" definition and change the name into something you want. 6. Save the file, and you're done!
What's even better is that you can adjust the force feedback effects to your liking. To do so, all you need to do is to use the provided BagEditor to open data/vehicles/shared/physics/forcefeedback_dd.vffb and then tweak the various parameters available. This file can be shared between users so make sure to share your favorite settings with other users for example on Steam Workshop. Unless of course the settings are your secret weapon on the track! Many thanks to Granite Devices, the creators of SimuCube, and Devin, a long-standing and respected member of our community, for assistance.
As always, we're also actively working on improving the gameplay experience based on the feedback so this this release contains numerous other improvements and additions as well. We invite you to check out the complete summary of items fixed or improved below.

The first DLC of Season 2 expands your garage with a unique car chase pack! The Getaway Car Pack is now available for €/$ 3.99. • Bullet: This classic american muscle car oozes with pure power and strength, and is a perfect getaway car • Razor: One of the finest tuner cars, very agile and super fast on twisty tracks. • Cardinal: This former state official car with a reinforced body is ideal for the toughest car chases!
The Getaway Car Pack is the seventh Car Pack and part of season pass 2, which includes 12 new cars, spread across four DLCs. This new content will be released step by step.
Looking back at the highlights from the first season, we've had quite a ride! We've shelled out total destruction with Doomrig, laid down rubber with Super Venom in slalom, crashed our way to the victory with bangers and stock cars, even fought the lawn with Hellvester. For us, the developer, it's been super rewarding to watch all the excitement for the new events and content, and we want to thank everyone who has tagged alongside us for the journey so far! It's been great fun creating all this and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have.
The first season is over now, but if you can't get enough of Wreckfest we've got some exciting news for you: Wreckfest is back, and it's bigger and badder than ever before! We just couldn't leave it at that, and we're thrilled to announce the launch of Wreckfest Season 2. In a nutshell, that means more of the good stuff you've come to expect: more free tracks, more exciting tournament challenges, more free tournament rewards, more cool DLC content such as cars, and of course, more MAYHEM!
And the best part of it? The first update of Season 2 is here RIGHT NOW.
To kick off Season 2 in style, we're launching a new tournament titled Getaway Heat, the monthly event of which will see you racing flat out through the sprawling downtown streets from checkpoint to checkpoint in one of the cars from the new DLC pack. Yes, you read that right: the new free track is an exciting city circuit, something pretty unique to Wreckfest and sure to become a smash hit in hot multiplayer matches! In the event, the better you do between each checkpoint the more time you save, but with each successive lap you're given less and less time and at the same time the taxi cabs do their best to block you from taking the perfect line. How far can you make it? As for the weekly events, this time around they are a mix of neck-to-neck demolition racing as well as white-knuckle time trials, so no matter which style is right up your ante there's something sure to strike the right chord with you. Make sure to participate, because the tournament shop has been loaded with a new sweet Rocket RX as well as rocking new bundles and paint jobs.
We're also happy to announce the availability of the first Season 2 DLC pack: Getaway Car Pack! This exciting pack expands your garage with three unique rides that are perfect for hard-boiled car chases. Bullet is a classic American muscle car that oozes with pure power and strength, and is a perfect getaway car. Razor is one of the finest tuner cars, very agile and super-fast on twisty tracks. And finally, Cardinal is a former law enforcement vehicle with a reinforced body ideal for the toughest pursuits.
In other news, we've also broke out our debuggers and have been busy squeezing bugs as well as dialing in quality of life improvements. Speaking of the latter, the ability to sort the cars in the garage and mark them as favourite is something that many have been requesting, and we're happy to let you know that we've just added that. While at it, we also added similar favourite functionality to the server browser on PC which will make browsing your favourite haunts a breeze.
We've also gone to great strides to address the issues with save data handling that some users have been still suffering from, including a possible case in which the save data was reset. We're confident that the issue has now been resolved. Our sincere apologies for anyone affected by this issue.
Other things worth noting are improvements in the collision physics so that light dynamic objects like tires can no longer throw the car off-path after hitting the wheel hub, visual parts such as spoilers no longer get detached from the light hits, Big Rig is way more fun to drive now, Motorhome now has performance engines, and whole host of other smaller vehicle related enhancements. Naturally this release contains numerous other improvements and additions as well, and we invite you to check out the complete summary of items fixed or improved below.
Bring on the carnage!
