Update 1.23.2 - READY YOUR WARMACHINES introduces 26 new ammunition shells for your tanks, including a smokey addition! Progress your Assault Teams, deploy from new capitals, bug fixes and more!
New Tank Ammunition
New tank ammunition available for your warmachines. 26 new ammunition types across the entire board!
We are also bringing more transparency to your ammunition types, to what it does, and the additional choices it gives you in terms of explosive power. Pay extra attention to the new effects the shells have, it might save your life!

APCBC – Improved normalization angle
APHE – Improved damage
HEAT – Same AT performance at all ranges. Medium blast radius against infantry.
API – Increased damage.
Shrapnel – Large radius. Lower damage.
WP – Medium range and damage. Creates smoke cover that can blind tanks, hide friendly, or mark locations.
As a rule of thumb tanks which are best fit for tank versus tank battles will first unlock AP and tanks which are a better fit for infantry will unlock HE first. Ammunition unlocks will afterwards switch between anti-tank and anti-infantry, keep in mind there are some exceptions to this rule.
Additionally we have increased armor penetration across the board and increased the falloff over distance especially for APCR. Starter tanks have also received the possibility of using ammunition previously exclusively available to fighter planes.
We will be doing a deep dive blog post soon where we will give tips, explain the new functionalities, how to apply them and how the different ammunition types function.
Assault Team Progression
You are now able to progress your Assault Teams using Warfunds and Gold.
In order to progress your Assault Teams simply go to the soldier screen and click on the Assault Team of your choice and choose between warfunds or gold.

We would like to announce in good time that we are planning discontinuing the Soldier Career Feature for old soldiers in the near future. This is only relevant to players who have soldiers from before August 2016.
You can quickly check if this applies to any of your soldiers by looking on the right hand side in the flash client when choosing gear for a soldier. It is an empty space for soldiers created after August 2016. Example below:
This is being done to ultimately retire an old feature not available for new players and to give us more room to implement new exciting features!
We do not have a finite date yet and will communicate at least 2 weeks before applying the said changes. In the meantime please make plans to choose a Career Option you would like to be permanent for your soldiers.
Please note: Soldiers can still be promoted to Generals after this change.
All soldiers who can change careers will have their soldier type locked once we apply the changes. All equipment and vehicles the soldier owns, which are not usable by the soldier type you choose, will be moved to your depot for redistribution on your other soldiers.
You can find the depot when selecting gear for any of your soldiers on the right side of the category icons. Example below:
The Development Overview board provides an overview of what projects are currently in development at RETO MOTO, so you as players of Heroes & Generals can see what we are working on.
The overview lists both the player-facing projects we are doing such as new content, features and maps. But it also shows the projects that are happening behind the scenes. Development projects you as a player may never even notice, but they are necessary to do to keep the game going.
The Development Overview is a living thing. Projects grow, transform, split into new ones or change all together as we work on them. Sometimes you might even see a project moving backwards in development if we find out something needs to be reworked.
WHAT THE DEVELOPMENT OVERVIEW SHOWS
Our current development projects are sorted into three basic sections based on where they are in our development cycle – early to final development.
This provides an indication of how far along in development a given project is.
The individual projects on the Development Overview vary in size and as such there can be a huge difference as to how long a project remains in one section or another.
The Development Overview also gives you an insight into what project we have chosen to put on hold, which are in test and projects released since the overview was last updated.
The Development Overview will be updated on a monthly basis again.

CAPTURE POINT CHANGES
With feedback from the community we have adjusted the Capture Point times in Assault Battles.
Capture time of Control Points has been increased from 40 to 50 seconds, and the neutralization time shortened from 22 to 12 seconds.

GRENADE IMPROVEMENTS
We have added a new and better looking spin behaviour to thrown grenades and added new explosion effects unique to each type of grenade. You can now distinguish which grenades your opponent has, try not to discover it within the blast zone!
RECON AND PARATROOPER SPAWN DELAY
The spawn delay could be a bit too brutal, especially if you die quickly in a row. Based on community feedback we have reduced the spawn delay for both.
We have reduced the spawn delay for paratroopers from 25 to 7 seconds and for Recons from 25 to 15 seconds.
NEW PLAYER REPORTING OPTIONS
We have added 2 new options when reporting unwanted player behavior in-game. This will help us identify abusive behavior more specifically, which in turn helps us respond more efficiently when action is required.
The new categories are “Abuse of Game Mechanics” and “Offensive Naming”. See below for more details.
Offensive Naming:
Bypassing our name filter and choosing a name that is against our Rules of Conduct.
Abuse of Game Mechanics:
This principally refers to any form of stats padding (obtaining XP or rewards without playing for your team), but also covers any attempt at taking advantage of the game rules in an unfair or abusive manner.
CAPTURED PTRD CHANGES
The prices of the german and american captured version of the PTRD have been adjusted from 1.659.000 Credits and 6.600 Gold to 490.000 Credits and 3.500 Gold.
The event has been concluded! Teams have been wiped out and you have fought hard to win!
Everyone who participated and qualified have had their best killing spree counted and their rewards given out!

Any weapon, explosive or vehicle can be used! Your highest unique kill count in 1 life will reflect which reward you get at the end of the event!
Your best killing spree will automatically be the one counting for the rewards. Soldier AI and team kills do not count!
