THE GERMAN GRANATBÜCHSE 39 [GR B 39]
The Gr B 39 is a Pz B 39 converted to take the standard rifle attachment grenade launcher (Schiessbecher). It launches a shaped charge warhead that is fired by a wooden bullet. This allows the weapon to engage harder targets than the original bullet launching platform. Most PzB-39 rifles in service have been subject to these modifications, and the resulting Gr B 39 guns are able to be very effective in combat.
THE US M18 RECOILLESS RIFLE
The M18 recoilless rifle is a 57 mm shoulder fired anti-tank recoilless rifle. As a recoilless rifle it is capable of firing artillery-type shells at reduced velocities (~365m/s) but with greater accuracy than anti-tank weapons that use unguided rockets, and almost entirely without recoil. The M18 Recoilless Rifle can penetrate up to 76mm of armor at a 90 degree angle.
THE SOVIET PTRS-41
The PTRS-41 or Simonov anti-tank rifle is the semi-automatic analog of the PTRD-41 anti-tank rifle. The gas-operated PTRS fires a 14.5 mm armour-piercing bullet with a muzzle velocity of 1013 m/s and devastating ballistics. It can penetrate an armour plate up to 40 mm thick at a distance of 100 meters.
The battle of Berlin started on the 16th of April 1945. For two long weeks, the Germans fought bravely to defend their great city. Hundreds of thousands of men lost their lives in the streets of the German capital. In this war log, we will keep you up to date on the latest news from the frontline.
War log day 14: Basetrade
Strange things have happened on the eastern front. We managed to capture Minsk from the Soviet forces, but while we assaulted Minsk, the Soviets countered on Riga and managed to take the city. The Soviets also assaulted Warsaw from the south-east and managed to get their hands on it. In the south the Americans seem to be taking ground from the Soviet forces, Budapest, Belgrade and Istanbul are all under American control now. The war continues!
War log day 13: Germany pushing all fronts!
After the fall of Scandinavia, our forces were scattered and beaten. After our defeat, we rebuild our forces and reclaimed our land. We launched a new war and booked great successes. We took the city of Riga from the Soviet forces and the assault on Minsk has begun. In the west we pushed into the Netherlands and managed to get close to Rotterdam. Unfortunately we were pushed back for now, but we are not done yet in that area. For Germany!
War log day 10: Copenhagen has fallen!
After some great pushes onto Rotterdam, the tides have turned against us. Berlin and Stockholm have fallen to the Soviet faction. Rotterdam regained by the Americans. All that we have left is the city of Oslo. Despite that, much of Germany, The Netherlands and Scandinavia is still ours. The men are still ready to fight! We must regroup our forces, pick our targets and go into the offensive!
War log day 9: Berlin at risk!
Despite the many victories on the western front, the Soviets in the east have a foothold in Berlin. We have many brave men defending the city and we will fight till the very last man. The Soviets will not take this city from us. On the west, we are knocking on the door of London. Will we finally be able to capture it?
War log day 8: Rotterdam surrounded!
Poland has fallen to those damn Soviets. It did not matter how many we killed, they just kept coming. The German border is at risk, and we must reinforce the east to hold our enemies off. The west however, the west is looking well. Our mighty army has pushed hard on the American lines and as predicted, we have beaten them back and surrounded Rotterdam. Our march is far from over. London, Paris, one day we will own it all.
War log day 7: Siege of Rotterdam!
After some a rough Easter the German faction has managed to push out of Germany into the Netherlands. The Americans are still holding Rotterdam, but with our forces marching onto the city, will they be able to hold it? The outnumber us at the Dutch border, and perhaps we should be scared of that. But should we really? The Americans are weak, it doesn't matter how many men they bring we will take them down, one by one!
War log day 4: Counterattack!
The Soviets have taken Berlin from us! But they will not hold it for long. Our forces have engaged the Soviets in an attempt to retake the city. Battles will be hard and bloody, but the might of the Germans will not be stopped here! We will regroup our forces, repair and refuel our tanks, and we will fight for victory!
War log day 3: Italy in disarray
We may have lost the war, but where one war ends another one begins. Germany stands strong, we are holding on to the border between Germany and the Netherlands, and war rages heavily in the east, in Poland. While a steady front-line has been established in the north, the south is in chaos. Italy and the Balkan are contested between the Americans and the Soviets. The Soviets are at the doorsteps of both Belgrade and Rome. Will the Americans hold, or will the Soviets take victory in the south?
War log day 2: Berlin in Soviet hands
The battles in and around Berlin have been brutal, the Soviets managed to bring the city under it's control but their position is far from safe. The Americans are pushing from west to east, while our own brave men are moving in from the north. Perhaps, we can use those foolish Americans, let them do the heavy work around Berlin while we prepare for the kill. Berlin will be ours once more.
War log day 1: Enemies in all directions
The enemy has been closing in on us, Americans to the west, Soviets to the east. They have reached the outer defences of Berlin, slowly taking more and more ground. Their tanks are rolling through our country, their men with their filthy boots stepping on our soil. We must take up arms to defend the city of Berlin! Go into the streets, knock on every door and call upon everyone to join our great effort! Für das Vaterland!

YOUR OBJECTIVE
If you are a German General, use your additional resources wisely, fight your way out of a defensive position against 2 strong enemy forces and gather your troops, for the win!
If you are a U.S. or Soviet General, strategise with your allies and troops to defeat an overpowered German army and destroy the enemy at any cost!
THE CHALLENGE
Is the German army too powerful to be defeated or is their geographic position still too taxing for them to win? Can the US army coordinate its efforts successfully with the Soviets? Will all factions align for the ultimate victory? So many questions...
YOUR REWARD
For the duration of this event* all soldiers participating in the WAR effort will get these rewards:
Increased XP multiplier for the War Victory ribbon x10 (only for stats that require war victory)
Increased XP multiplier for the Battle ribbon x3 (only for stats that require battle victory, for both soldiers and commanders)
These rewards are valid for both soldiers (winning battles by combat) and commanders (winning battles by sending ATs).
Remember, the War Victory ribbon unlocks extra command points for commanders (ability to deploy more ATs) and the Battle ribbon unlocks the 'Charismatic Leader' combat badge that boosts morale on assault teams when worn by the commander.

Your March 1.14 – Major Update is packed with a new Tank VS Tank game mode called Capture & Hold Tank, improvements to the menu navigation and a more balanced vehicle assortment for Recons introducing 2 new vehicles to the game.
+ Heroes & Generals WWII is now supporting Korean language!
NEW TANK VS TANK MODE
In the new game mode, named ‘Capture & Hold Tank’, 8 vs 8 tanks fight to capture a single control point. Each faction deploys Infantry bots, that will try and capture the control point on the map, watch out for their nasty anti tank weapons!
Join 2 tank squads in a battle to support your infantry capturing the Lunéville village. Suppress enemy infantry until the village is captured or destroy the enemy tank forces. Tanks are controlled by players and Infantry soldiers are controlled by bots. Make sure to enter the battle with a balanced selection of tanks, both high tier as well as low tier for fast deployment. If field maintenance leaves you without a tank to deploy, make sure to jump into a squad members tank for support.
The map in this game mode is inspired by the battle of Arracourt, it is 2×2 km and is set in the french ‘bocage’, a labyrinth of hedgerows, hills and small clusters of forest. Tanks deploy at the edge of the map, Infantry attacks from 6 random deploy zones around the village.
NEW ENTRY INTO MATCHMAKING
Matchmaking Entry is now made through a mode selection. We designed modes to be optimized both for familiarity of popular multiplayer game modes and singularity to the uniqueness of our game. More modes updates will come over time.
DEPLOY MENU SIMPLIFICATION
The deploy menu is now streamlined, especially for new players who have no choice yet for their load-outs and vehicle picks. Players are now auto deploying and re-deploying after a short count down, players will not see the deploy menu when unnecessary. We have other improvements coming later for that screen for more advanced players. Players can always deactivate the auto deploy function in the options menu to have full control.
NEW PLAYER PROGRESSION SCREEN
New Progression screen is now shown every time a player levels up. The screen shows where the player is in terms of progression, what was unlocked and what will unlock later at what level. We will show more to the players on that screen to clarify the progression path even more in future iterations. This screen is accessible front and center as a tab on top of the Main User Interface.
MORE BALANCED RECON VEHICLES ASSORTMENT
In an effort to equalize power between factions, we are re-organizing some and introducing new vehicles.
NEW US Recon Vehicle – M20 joins the existing M8 Greyhound. This tier one vehicle is unlocking faster and has lighter armed machine guns.
NEW GE Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Halftrack is coming in as an Infantry vehicle. It is bigger, meaner , heavier and better armed with 2 machine-guns.
The GE Sd.Kfz. 250/3 halftrack is moved to the recon class adding to the existing Sd.Kfz 222. This tier one vehicle is unlocking faster, it has lighter armed machine guns.
The 2 existing Soviet Recon vehicles BA-64B and BA-6 remain unchanged.
