No matter where you travel in Europe, there is one type of art that you can consistently find. From bustling cities to small quiet villages, street art can be found anywhere from the streets to the side of buildings.
These artworks we think could look pretty good on a truck (when done legally, of course). Today, we are happy to share that we are releasing a new paint job pack DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 which has been created by our team of talented artists; The Street Art Paint Jobs Pack!
Featuring 6 paint jobs for your truck and 3 matching paint jobs for your trailer, these vibrant liveries will be sure to make heads turn at the sight of them. Our artists got very creative on this project, and we can't wait to see them out on the roads of Europe!
We'd love to see your photos and videos featuring this new paint job pack, be sure to share them with us on our social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) using the dedicated hashtag, #ETS2StreetArt and we will share our favorites. Until next time, keep on truckin'!
The month of October is behind us and it is now time to wrap up this year’s #Pinktober2022 campaign. As we promised in our previous blog post, we will provide you with some additional information along with the amount that has been raised over the year.
Throughout the entire month, we were doing our best to spread awareness among our community about this terrible disease by hosting a live stream on our Twitch channel and frequently sharing reminders on our social media. We’d like to thank everybody who joined this year’s campaign by tuning in to the broadcast or by sharing a kind message on their social media profiles using the special paint jobs contained in the DLCs. These might be small steps, but they are an important part of the ongoing battle.
Our effort was reflected internally within SCS as well by hosting an hour-long session with representatives from the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer charity organization. We are glad that so many of our colleagues attended this lecture and we truly hope that through them the message will carry on to those who might eventually find it useful.
Thanks to the amazing support from the #BestCommunityEver, the total amount gathered from the sales of the Pink Ribbon paint job packs is 47,000 USD! This sum is absolutely incredible and we thank each and every single one of you. We hope that donating the entire sum to the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer will make a great difference to those in need.
But don’t forget, you are free to support this, or any other organization throughout the whole year. Most importantly, however, donations are only one of the ways to join the fight. Spreading awareness, and reminding those you hold dear of the importance of regular health checks is what matters the most. Our health should always have the top priority and all of this information is something that all of us should keep in mind.
Happy Hauloween, Happy Hauloween, Happy happy...stop! And so it has been said, I’m told, That there are some of you so bold To speak of one point four six woes For goodness sake, we did not knows That there might be, oh, such a clash! Oh my, oh wow, now we must dash To fix this all and do it fast Extend our Hauloween to last Until such time that you’re all done With testing of our beta one Point four six, yes! That is the feat, Then hauling treats for all to eat! It’s cool, it's great, and all will see What fun that Hauloween can be!
To our #BestCommunityEver, we would like to offer our sincere apologies if we caused any concerns to those who are currently testing our Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator 1.46 Open Beta. We now realise that for many of you, reverting back to your 1.45 game saves in order to take part in our Happy Hauloween event was far from a desirable solution and, moreover, was an avoidable consequence that should not have happened. In this way, we intend to extend the event well past the 1.46 Open Beta testing closure date, so that everyone will be able to continue to take part in the event using 1.46 also.
Thank you all for your guidance and valuable feedback!
Join us now as we celebrate our latest World of Trucks event - Happy Hauloween!
It’s time to start your rigs tonight, Begin to haul with bumps of fright, For Hauloween is in the air, And there’s no time to flee nor dare To hide away from all the treats That wait for you, but not to eat, NO, they must be hauled, delivered quick, Then parked away, now that’s the trick!

Religion is an integral part of society and it has been accompanying us in different shapes and forms for hundreds of years. While the West Balkans are one of the most religiously diverse regions in Europe, these beliefs became such an integral part of the local countries that our upcoming DLC has to reflect their touch in a certain way.
When you will be driving across the map expansion and observing your surroundings, the local religious architecture will most definitely stand out. Whether it is the Cathedral of Saint Mother Teresa in Pristina or King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Mosque in Tuzla, you will always feel the unique imprint the respective religion has left in the particular location.
Although sometimes the lines tend to blur, as you may find a church, cathedral, or mosque, in the same city or area, which once again hints towards the incredibly diverse and dynamic local culture.
We can’t wait to show you more content from this upcoming project and we hope you're already excited enough to add West Balkans DLC to your Steam Wishlist. Also, stay in touch by following us on social media (Twitter,Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to not miss out on anything interesting.
This October marks 10 years of Euro Truck Simulator 2 goodness, with tomorrow, October 18th, being the actual day in history we announced the release, right here on the blog. Wow, time flies when you are having fun! So starting tomorrow, to celebrate this anniversary together with the community, we have come up with an idea for a small World of Trucks event - 10 Years of ETS2!
...but first, we’d like to share with you some history on the game that we all love to play and work on.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 hails from a different era of the games industry, a time when PC games were mostly released in a box onto retail shelves. Our initial retail release of ETS2 took place during the autumn of 2012. Its incredible success, during the first few days of release, was totally unexpected for us. And, as we watched the game hit the number 1 best-selling spot in the charts in Germany, the UK, Poland, and France, little did we know the game would become such a phenomenon.
Then the opportunities of digital distribution really opened up for developers, and ETS2 premiered on Steam a couple of months later, January 16, 2013, to be precise. This proved to be even more crazy for us, when it also earned the title of best selling game on Steam, for the third week of the year. Suddenly, a small truck simulation game in a niche genre made it big in the eyes of the gaming press and global player community
Today, the huge player base and community, our #BestCommunityEver, is a fantastic inspiration for us to continue the journey forward, expanding our truck simulator universe and evolving the fidelity of our games. Euro Truck Simulator 2 has proven to be a success story beyond our dreams, having sold over 13 million copies during its first 10 years, and Steam reporting over 80 million DLCs purchased, from small cosmetic packs like paint jobs to major world expansions.
We could hardly ask for more. Still, we do hope that Euro Truck Simulator 2 has at least another decade of further growth in front of it - there are so many features will still want to implement, and so much new stuff we plan to bring you, so back to the celebration!
Participation in this event is very simple, in fact, just a single delivery will do the trick. And for joining us in this small task, we’d be proud to offer a very special, one-of-a-kind reward that we’ve had crafted here, by the team, especially for you.
Rules
Using External Contracts or External Market, with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, the player's personal goal is to deliver any cargo from any city.
Reward
Personal: Players that deliver any cargo from any city will gain a personal World of Trucks Achievement and an impressive ETS2, 10th Anniversary, truck and trailer paint job as Steam inventory items.
We would be incredibly honoured to see the fans with their rigs wearing this specially crafted truck and trailer reward paint job, using our hashtag #10YearsETS2. And, to share the happy moments back with you, we are going to do a big celebration live stream on our Twitch channel with our CEO, Pavel Šebor, where we will be giving away game keys and merchandise to our #BestCommunityEver.
We also have two very special gifts provided by our friends over at Thrustmaster; two Limited Edition 'Euro Truck Simulator 2' branded T248 wheels! One of these wheels will be given away during our special live-stream, and the other will be given to one lucky selected player chosen by our teams on our social media pages who uses the special anniversary hashtag #10YearsETS2.
We encourage you to use this hashtag to share your journeys with the special paint job and your best memories of Euro Truck Simulator 2! We really look forward to reading your stories and seeing your pictures and videos on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram profiles
We hope you can join us in celebrating this momentous occasion! We can't wait to keep on trucking with you for many more years to come.
Last year, a small team of our vehicle artists went to Germany and visited Feldbinder Spezialfahrzeugwerk GmbH to check out their amazing vehicles at two of their facilities at Winsen and Lutherstadt Wittenberg. There, they gathered a lot of information and references on the types of trailers they produce, and spoke with many from the team that work there!
Today, we are happy to share with you some progress that has been made on Feldbinder trailers which will be coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2. As you can see from these screenshots, our team has been working on these trailers for quite a while now. It's safe to say, we are near the final phases of development for these new additions!
Whilst our teams are still working hard on this project, and we are confident that these trailers could be released before the end of the year; we cannot confirm a release date just yet! We will be sure to let you know once we are 100% set on a release date.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our friends over at Feldbinder, as they have been great partners throughout the production process of recreating their trailers virtually. From providing reference data to feedback and general questions, they have really lent a helping hand to our vehicles team.
We look forward to announcing the arrival of Feldbinder trailers to Euro Truck Simulator 2, so be sure to you are in the know! Follow Feldbinder on their Facebook page, and us on all our socials channel (Twitter,Facebook, YouTube,Instagram) to keep up with the latest!
The month of October is internationally recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, better known as Pinktober. Often represented visually by a pink ribbon, the Pinktober campaign helps share critical information and spread awareness about this terrible disease which many are affected by.
Educating yourself and sharing information with those around you is an important part of breast cancer awareness and detection, as it helps to know what signs to look out for. Regular self-checks and visiting your local doctor, while, at the same time, reminding those closest to you to do the same is the main message conveyed during the campaign. Your health should always be the highest priority.
Every year kind-hearted supporters are doing their best to aid in the battle by sending direct donations or spreading awareness. A couple of years ago we decided to commit ourselves to the cause as well in the form of a Pink Ribbon Charity Event which came along with two special DLCs in 2019 - one for American Truck Simulator, and one for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This opened up a possibility for those who wanted to help but weren’t sure where to donate, as, in the end, 100% of the income from these DLCs goes to a charity every year.
If you wish to join a good cause and obtain some new paint jobs for your trucks, now is the perfect opportunity to get these two DLCs or gift them to a friend and contribute to the battle against Breast Cancer. And in case you and your friends already own these DLCs, you can spread awareness by decorating your trucks in these paint jobs and haul with pride while letting others know about this good cause by flooding social media with screenshots of your trucks under #Pinktober2022.
In regards to which charities we are going to donate the final amount to, this year is going to be slightly different. This time we have decided to send the final sum raised from the DLCs to a single local charity - Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer. Pay close attention to our blog at the end of the month, as we will release another blog post wrapping up this year’s Pinktober and announcing the final amount of money donated!
As part of Pinktober, we have also invited representatives from the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer charity to host a Breast Cancer awareness seminar at our studios in Prague. We are very grateful to be able to offer such an informative session to our ever-increasing number of team members, and we hope to see colleagues old and new take part.
We thank you all for your gracious support in advance, and thank those who have continually supported the Pinktober cause throughout the past year.
Today, we are happy to share with you that the 1.46 Open Beta branch for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is now available to try and test out. If you plan on participating in this Open Beta, we ask that you please help us by reporting any bugs you may encounter in the appropriate section(s) of our official forums.
Your feedback and reports are extremely valuable to our team and we thank you in advance for taking the time to help us out. So, without further ado, let's take a look at what the 1.46 Open Beta has in store.
Company Browser
An exciting new feature coming to both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator in the 1.46 update is the Company Browser. This new in-game browser allows players to search for specific types of companies, cargoes and/or trailer types. This means that if you are waiting for any of the examples mentioned in the previous sentence, you can easily check if such a thing even exists within the game!
So, if you are curious about which cargo you can theoretically haul for example between London and Madrid or even Calais to Duisburg, the company browser will achieve just that!
We are eager for you to take this new feature for a test drive during the Open Beta and to receive your feedback on the Company Browser. Any feedback or comments are welcome about this feature (or any others you are trying during the beta) at our forums. Happy trucking!
Ownable Cisterns - Chemical Trailers
Today we are happy to share with you the next addition to our ownable cistern collection which will be available in 1.46, Chemical Trailers!
These tankers are designed to transport a variety chemicals including acidic, toxic or corrosive liquid products. These cargo types include Hydrochloric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Pesticides, Mercuric Chloride and more; so careful driving is highly recommended.
The ETS2 Cistern includes 2 chassis types (2 axle, 3 axle, single chain) and 2 body types (chrome or paintable) along with a similar variety of customisations and accessories which include:
Chassis type
Paintjobs (base and DLC)
Markers
Rear bumpers
Muflaps
and other accessories such as hoses, water tanks, extinguishers etc)
Custom City Intros - Iberia
Recently, we introduced a new experimental feature in ETS2 and ATS - the custom city introductions. Thanks to the positive feedback that we have seen from the community, we are glad to let you know that we will further expand this feature in the upcoming 1.46 update!
These special cutscenes appear when a player selects a starting city when creating a new profile and, as you may know, they are currently available only for cities of Austria and the city of Hanover in Euro Truck Simulator 2. In the 1.46 update, however, we will add this feature to the Iberia DLC as well!
So, what do you think? Should we keep working on the custom city introductions? If so, let us know!
Iberia Map Update
You may have noticed while driving across the Iberia DLC that there is a well-designed unreachable area near Madrid. We have decided to take the time and finish this settlement, which is inspired by the city of Arganda del Rey and it will feature the company prefab of Construcciones Elcano, a new heavy machinery service depot that made its first appearance in the Austria rework project.
While you were previously able to only drive around this zone on a nearby highway, with the addition of the settlement, we are also going to open up the closest highway exit so you can properly set out to explore this fresh piece of content.
We hope you enjoy checking out this new part of the Iberia DLC! Read more about this update at one of our previously dedicated blogposts.
Iberian Regional Signs
Traffic signs are an essential part of keeping both drivers and pedestrians using the road safe and informed with valuable information; such as where you are! In our 1.46 update, the Iberia DLC will be receiving new road region signage.
Our map team has been hard at work implementing these familiar green and red region signs across the peninsula to help guide drivers in the right direction; and to assure them (and their GPS) that they are going the right way.
So whether you're heading to Madrid or València, you really have no excuse of getting lost now. We hope you enjoy the new signage on your travels through this unique part of Europe. We'd love to see your screenshots and videos too! Be sure to share them with us on our social media channels.
Driveshaft Torque
We are always doing our best to make the trucking experience within our games as realistic as possible, and that is exactly the reason why this new addition, which can be turned on in the settings, is arriving into the world of ETS2. This feature simulates the spinning of the chassis during acceleration, which results in a slight lift of the front left wheel. We hope you enjoy this new and realistic addition in this update!

So enjoy all the new additions, but please remember: It's only an open beta, not a stable public version - so you may encounter bugs, instability, or crashes. It's completely okay if you want to wait for the final release. But if you're interested in helping us to get there faster, we'll appreciate all of your feedback on our forum and your bug reports in this section. Please check our modding wiki to get details pertaining to mods for the game.
If you wish to participate in the open beta, you can find this version in the public_beta branch on Steam. The way to access it is as follows: Steam client → LIBRARY → right-click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 → Properties → Betas tab → public_beta → 1.46. No password required. Sometimes you have to restart your Steam client to see the correct branch name there.
They say that truckers make the world go round, and considering the number of materials and other cargo being transported somewhere out there basically every second, we have to agree! That is why the topic of New Industries is the best first step into more detailed information about what you can expect in the upcoming West Balkans DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Logistics We are starting off with a new logistic depot, which will offer you countless jobs involving different cargoes to haul. With tricky places for loading and unloading, these new areas will certainly bring you a lot of fun.
Marine Logistics As you may know, among other states this DLC will also include the beautiful country of Croatia, which, in addition to a long coast of the Adriatic Sea on its western side, also includes many islands. Our new depot has the task, with the help of the players, to ensure their supply or the other way around - the transport of materials produced on the islands. And not only that. The sea also offers riches such as fish and seafood, so we will dedicate part of the area to their processing.
River Port Speaking of water, a large river of great importance for transport - the Danube - flows through the local territory. Ships transport a lot of material at once, but they have one problem. They cannot bring their cargo outside the waterway. So they have to transfer their cargo, which is what ports are for. Seaports have been around for some time, but river ports are new to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Oil Fields Although times seem to be slowly changing, tractors on diesel still run in the real world and within our games. Diesel is produced from oil, which must be extracted from the land before use. And while the ATS players have already encountered oil extraction, for the world of ETS2 it will be a breath of fresh air.
Small Chemical Plant Chemical plants aren't just big factories full of tall shiny equipment and huge tanks. There are also smaller plants that process chemicals contained in various products, such as drugstore goods. Deliver the chemicals, the workers will process them, and then you can take the end results to supermarket warehouses.
Bauxite Terminal There are significant deposits of Bauxite rock within the West Balkans. This sediment is used for obtaining aluminum, with the first step being mining. Our highway semi-tractors are not exactly suited for entering mines, but they can help with other machines that can do just that. Therefore, the depot serves not only as a garage for the dedicated machines but also as a transshipment point for material.
Aluminum Foundry So, we have successfully mined bauxite and now it needs to be further processed. This is exactly what the Aluminum Foundry is for. A difficult processing operation needs to have a lot of cargo delivered so that valuable material can be created in the final steps. Machines need spare parts, warehouse workers need new handling equipment, and out goes a shipment of fresh aluminum ingots and up for further processing.
Metal Light Factory We have created aluminum, but it is necessary to transform it into products that are around us every day Cars, tin foil in the kitchen, electronic devices... The list goes on. And Metal Light Factory is ready to transform aluminum ingots into many such items. However, you will also meet other metals within this depot.
Car Parts Factory You are probably aware that we have had car companies in the game economy since the very beginning. But the automotive industry does not consist of only large areas for the final assembly of vehicles. Many of the necessary parts are produced elsewhere. And these are exactly the factories that we will bring into the game with this map expansion.
Caravan Factory As the name suggests, the new Caravan Factory specializes in the production of well... caravans. The assembly line requires the delivery of a lot of cargo that is contained across the entire economy, for example, parts from the Car Parts Factory, or entire van chassis from a car manufacturer. Heading the other way, you will pick up the fully constructed vehicles and deliver them to caravan lovers all over Europe.
Please keep in mind that everything shown and mentioned in this article is still very much a "work in progress". If you're already excited to drive to and from these industries, make sure to add West Balkans DLC to your Steam Wishlist. We have much more information to share with you about this project in the future, so stay in touch by following us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to not miss out on anything interesting.
