We are excited to announce that we will be delivering 3 new routes for drivers to take on in our latest map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, Road to the Black Sea in an upcoming 1.38 update. These routes are:

Each journey will come with its own challenges. So make sure to adhere to the GPS advisor and speed limit which have been set-out for you before your departure, as there is no room for mistakes!


For owners of Road to the Black Sea and Special Transport for Euro Truck Simulator 2, this will come as a free update in our next version release. If you don't own either of these DLCs yet, don't panic! Rumors say that Steam's Summer Sales are just around the corner!

Once again we're really amazed at the great efforts put in by our players for the ongoing World of Trucks Operation Genoa Bridge event!



When we launched the event on Thursday, we thought that asking for a million jobs was very ambitious and that it would take some three weeks for the event to be concluded. Just a few hours back, we posted that half of the community goal has been reached. Euro Truck Simulator 2 players from all over the world took less than four days to deliver more than 500,000 jobs to help build the new Genoa bridge!

We are really proud to see that this event has been welcomed and accepted by our fanbase so well. It was really awesome to see so many of you taking part in it, sharing your stunning screenshots under the #OperationGenoaBridge hashtag across different social media platforms. We probably couldn't find all even though we tried, but by our counting, there are now more than 1500 tweets, 1686 minutes of video content on Facebook, and more than 100 hours of YouTube content!



We love watching your videos, streams, and all kinds of other content, and especially reading the few motivating and heartwarming emails about what this event means to you; how you see it as something that honours the extremely hard-working team that has toiled away to bring the new state-of-the-art bridge to life.



There are still about 470,000 jobs remaining to be hauled to or from both sides of the construction site before the new bridge is built, but we have no doubts that our community will make light work of it. If we can maintain this high effort we will soon be able to reopen the area in ETS2!

For the last twelve months, the Italian city of Genoa has been focused on constructing a new state-of-the-art bridge. Local civil, structural, design, electrical and mechanical engineers, construction workers, logisticians, and city planners have all been working around the clock to build a bridge across the Polcevera river valley that will reconnect the city with France, the port, and surrounding areas. Their work is almost done, but there is plenty still to do.




We think that it would be fantastic to help out in our own way. The heroic people of Genoa are trying to mend more than a critical city artery, and we would like to salute their effort and dedication. We would like to give our incredible game community a chance to get this beautiful new Italian bridge built into the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2!


We're asking the community to come together and help by delivering materials, fuel, and vehicles to the construction site by way of its two depots, one at either end of the bridge. We also need to collect excavated rubble and waste, along with used vehicles from the depots and transport them back to their respective collection points.


Needless to say, times are difficult for many these days so let's provide a helping hand as best we can, let's pull together as one and help out as a part of our in-game Operation Genoa Bridge event.

Rules:


Using external contracts with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, the community is to make deliveries of construction materials, fuel, equipment, and waste either to or from two new temporary depots. Each depot requires 500,000 deliveries and can be found at either end of the new bridge construction site in Genoa, Italy.

To complete your Personal Goal, complete at least 12 deliveries, 6 to/from the East Depot and 6 to/from the West Depot.

The depots are owned by the Costruzione di Edifici company (CDE for short) and are called:

• EAST bridge depot - CDE EST
• WEST bridge depot - CDE OVEST

[/u][/b]Deliveries to be made:


1,000,000 deliveries have to be equally divided between each depot. The community must help make:

• 500,000 deliveries to/from EAST bridge depot - CDE EST
• 500,000 deliveries to/from WEST bridge depot - CDE OVEST

Locations offering cargo to the depots:

• Turin
• Milan
• Verona
• Suzzara
• Parma
• Bologna
• Florence
• Livorno

Note: Genoa City itself will accept waste cargo but will not offer cargo to the depots.
Rewards:


Personal goal: Individual player contributions of at least 6 deliveries to/from each depot will gain that player a personal World of Trucks Achievement and a terrific new ETS2 truck Terra Constructor paint job Steam inventory item.




Community goal: Build the bridge! Once the community goal of 500,000 deliveries to/from each depot is met, we will update the game with the new bridge. So long as the player has also achieved their personal goal, they will receive a little extra gift - a hanging Plush Terra Road Roller Steam inventory item.




We look forward to seeing how our community will work together to complete this important project for Italy. The end of this event will be completely down to how quickly the goals set are achieved. However, we may allow for some extra-buffer time at the end of the event for those with a little less driving time on their hands.

For a limited time, we have also made available an Operation Genoa Bridge Steam Bundle which will include a copy of Euro Truck Simulator 2 with DLCs Italia, Italian Paint Jobs Pack, and the Window Flags DLC. This bundle is especially suited for new drivers who would like to assist in this event, it will be available only for a limited time. We have set up the event so that is is possible to complete it with only the base game, but it is certainly more enjoyable for owners of the Italia DLC and with more types of cargo to choose from.

What a competition the #TWC2020 was! There were many unexpected twists and changes that happened during the voting. The closer we got to the final round, the more tension we could feel from the participants; but the contest is over now and we have a winner!




We send our biggest congratulations to Burakref, the ultimate winner of the Trucks World Cup 2020 Renault Trucks screenshot competition! It was not an easy road from the moment he was selected as one of the 32 participants. During one of the semi-final matches, it seemed like that he would not proceed to the final round, when in his semifinal match he lost against Ilya 29 RUS. But when we contacted his competitor, he himself said that he actually thinks that Burakref's truck is better and that he should have won instead and left the final round for him! By this decision, Burakref was back on the road and on the way to the final round! What a twist, right?!




The final round was really tough and extremely close. We actually had to go into the statistics and compare the very exact numbers of votes that came to each of our finalists, because the graphics were saying it ended 50% vs 50%. But numbers do not lie and so Burakref won with a hell-of-a-number of 6666 votes vs his competitor Spring with 6574 votes!




We really enjoyed bringing you this exciting competition and we're really glad we have been able to bring it to you along with all the really cool items in the rewards pool kindly provided by Intel, Thrustmaster, Tobii Eye Tracking, HyperX, Renault Trucks and us too. We send a big thank you to our friends at these great companies!



Our winner has made it through all levels, earning very cool prizes all the way through till the final round to claim the ultimate reward. The title of the Trucks World Cup 2020 winner, the amazing T150 Pro Steering Wheel from Thrustmaster, a very special Steam key that unlocks every DLC/map expansion we have ever released, but also ever will release for ETS2 (the second place will get one of these too!), and a secret prize provided by Renault Trucks. Unfortunately, due to the current situation around COVID19, they were unable to go through with the initial plans for this prize. However, our friends at RT are planning a new idea for the secret prize, which will be confirmed by them as soon as possible.


Those who made it to the selection of 32 participants and further, please double-check your email inbox, because we still have no replies from some of you regarding your rightful rewards. We'd love to get in touch with you to be able to send you prizes you've won, but if we do not get any reply from you by the 10th of June 2020, then we won't be able to send you the items. Last week we posted a teaser image of a construction site hard at work in an unknown location within Euro Truck Simulator 2. After thousands of comments of speculation from our community, we are excited to announce what this image represents.



We are calling on you, our community, to prepare your trucks for a very special World of Trucks event to help complete the new Genoa Bridge, located in the northwest of Italy. The construction of this bridge has become a symbol of hope for Italy; with the help of thousands of industry professionals having worked around the clock for the last seven months, even during the current coronavirus outbreak, to finish this important connection.


With this project set to be completed in the near future, we plan to reflect that reality within Euro Truck Simulator 2, but this won't happen without the help of our community. We hope that you can all come together and assist in delivering the materials, equipment, and manpower needed to complete this very special project.

While we make final preparations for the start of this event, keep an eye out on our socials and blogs announcing the start of this event in the near future, tentatively in about a week from now.

Thanks to the ports across Iberia with connections to Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Atlantic, shipping across the world makes Spain and Portugal an ideal location for automobile manufacturers. Some of these operations are so large that many ports have their own dedicated car shipping terminals which are solely dedicated to the transporting of automobiles overseas.

However, car ports are not the only new prefabs you will find around Iberia. Drivers will play a vital role in delivering parts and cars to and from the various car factories to the shipping terminals. With millions of cars rolling off the production line each, you will have no shortage of logistic jobs in this industry.

After much testing, feedback, fixing, and fine-tuning, we are excited to announce the arrival of update 1.37 for Euro Truck Simulator 2! 



We'd like to thank every single one of you for all your help with your bug reports, opinions, and general feedback during the Open Beta. We hope you can now begin to fully enjoy the new features included within this update.


The main feature included with this update is the implementation of our new sound engine FMOD; which radically redefines the way we mix vehicle and environment sounds. This update includes revisited sounds of trucks' engines, new sounds for most of the AIs (including trains), reverb sound effects in tunnels, new train crossings sounds, the inclusion of a true Doppler effect for passing vehicles and more. This also brings an array of new sound options for users accessed from the main menu, which allows you to tweak many more individual sounds to your liking.



While there is still a lot of tweaking to do and more sounds to arrive, this is only the first phase. We will continue to improve based on feedback and implement changes throughout the year to come.

As a benefit from the new sound mixing approach, we are happy to bring you truck windows which you can open! You can now enjoy the continuum of sound levels between a well-insulated cabin with windows closed and the roaring traffic coming from the outside when you roll the windows all the way down. Give it a try especially when you hit the rush hour on the road or at a big junction.



Another addition that arrives with this update is our "walk-around feature." Our game world is generally not designed for exploration on foot, but we figure that fans may appreciate a new closer perspective to view their favorite machines in the upgrade shop. Getting up close may also be of use when you need to tune up your rig and match the color of your rims with the cabin's paint just right. So here we are with a little bonus feature of 1.37, an alternate way to control the camera in the game's service and vehicle browser. We had to redesign the "garage" scene a little to make more space and way for the cameras, hopefully, you will appreciate it.



Hungry for more? Then get ready for some food tanks! And we mean literally food tanks because, with this update, you can finally own this new type of trailer. These beauties were highly demanded for some time and so we're glad and proud we can bring them for you, our #BestCommunityEver!


We are also excited to bring to you a rework of 4 French cities in 1.37. Metz, Reims, Strasbourg, and Dijon will receive a fresh lick of paint with a rehaul of its roads which have been given a new look. We hope you will take the time to check these refreshed areas and send us your snaps of your first visit on our social media channels.


And last but not least, we're excited to announce the upcoming arrival of the official support for ASUS Aura for  Euro Truck Simulator 2. Products supported include ASUS keyboards, mice, RGB mousemats and more. This brings a new level of immersion to your trucking experience with the inclusion of RGB support. To enjoy the 1.37 update, make sure to OPT OUT of beta branches and your game will be automatically updated on Steam.
For the legacy non-Steam edition of ETS2, the update should be ready in a few days.Some mods, however, may have not caught up yet - this update may effectively break them. So remember that you can always stay on 1.36 or an even older branch. The way to access and select them is: Steam client → LIBRARY → right-click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 → Properties → Betas tab → select the version you want.

It's time to officially start the Truck World Cup 2020 in collaboration with Renault Trucks! After receiving more than 3100 entries to the competition inbox, select members from the SCS Software and Renault Trucks teams took on the daunting task of picking 32 entries to proceed into the next round.



This was by no means an easy task, as we sorted through thousands of different variations of Renault Trucks in accessorized with different custom paint jobs, modifications, and much more. We were overwhelmed by the staggering amount customizations made possible by talented modders from around the world.

So, who are the 32 participants, and what happens next? You can check the competition board, on which all these lucky players are already sorted into groups. Can you see your name/nickname there? Every single participant will have to match against everyone in his base group, then two best of each group moves into 1/8 final rounds, from where winners move to 1/4 final rounds, then again winners gets to 1/2 final rounds and then, the grand final match between the two most successful participants will take place.
