In a couple of days, our SCS On the Road crew will pack again and set the compass to a new destination - the Slovakiaring - for the 4th round of the FIA ETRC truck racing championship. We can't wait to meet with all our local fans there. See you all in the Fan Village, just like usual!
Let us whet your appetite with a short photo report from the previous race at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany. It was a very busy long weekend for our team there. Three days full of trucking, with crowds of people interested in our games. We met a lot of fantastic fans and we'd like to say thank you to all who had come to visit us.
Our motion seat rigs are proving so attractive that Krone Trailers wanted an extra motion seat for their booth at Nürburgring, playing a custom version of our game with an advanced look at their trailers included. It was a pilot project, but we really like the idea that in the future the manufacturers of trucks and equipment would be keen to use our games as a demo platform for their products at public events. It would definitely raise the awareness and profile of our games even higher.
We had a really cordial meeting with Jessica Lynn and her band. Stay tuned as more info about our future cooperation is coming. It was a hectic weekend but we loved every single second of each one of those days!
Make sure to follow our live feed about what's happening at SCS Sim Trailer on our Twitter and Instagram profiles.
We'd like to share with you some in-game footage we've recently created for an experimental live developer stream. For those of you who did not join in to see the stream, here is your chance to catch up. As you may already know, for the upcoming 1.32 update of Euro Truck Simulator 2, a part of northern Germany will be upgraded to our current standard.
We've already shared with you a report discussing the rework of the current map of Germany in ETS2. Please re-read to put the material below into context. It's still very much work in progress that we are previewing as an early peek.
It's time to gather the On The Road crew again and bring the SCS Sim Trailer to its next stop - the famous Nürburgring race circuit!
This event is going to be held for three days, and we'll be there for the whole duration, of course. Everyone who's going to visit this place from 29th of June to 1st of July 2018 should definitely make a stop at our trailer!
You can look forward to trying out our games on our tuned 4D motion seats, having chat with our crew, and possibly earning a bit of our merchandise for driving in our sim. If you are a dedicated player with a lot of hours under your belt spent in our games, make sure to show us your profile on World of Trucks or your Steam profile - we may have something special for you. ;)
Nürburgring happens to be located in Germany, the home of Krone Trailers. As you are by now surely aware, we are cooperating with Krone on the production of our upcoming trailer DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. They seem to quite like our game; with our assistance, they plan to install yet another 4D motion seat as a part of their exhibition stand (in addition to the two seats in our sim trailer). You should definitely consider stopping by their presentation area as well, we hear that they will have a limited-series edition driver cap commemorating our celebration.
As always, we'll be reporting the event through our social media channels such as our Twitter and Instagram profile.
Join us for our first experimental stream today! We'll show you and talk about some of the new stuff we are working on, driving through roads not yet seen outside of SCS Software.
Live today at 7 pm Prague time (GMT+2). Stream & chat on ETS2 Steam page or on our developer page (while you're there, don't forget to follow us to get notifications about new releases from us!)
Our most recent World of Trucks event is over today. Almost 82K participants finished the 12 deliveries required to complete it. That's a huge number of hours invested in the game, in addition to people staying on the regular gameplay or experimenting with the many cool mods available.
It's great to see so many screenshots and videos of you flashing the new paint job and cabin accessories earned during the event.
As promised, we are also ready to announce the two lucky participants who will get tickets of their choice to any of the upcoming FIA ETRC races of the 2018 season, plus VIP treatment at the hands of SCS Software's On the Road crew there. The random generator script has crunched all the players who have completed the event and these two nicks popped out:

Congratulations! Please get in touch with us to claim your reward. Please check out your World of Trucks profile page and follow the instructions which we've sent to you to claim your reward.
We are already looking forward to launching a new event for American Truck Simulator players. Tentatively, we are looking at launching it early next week.
This is a follow-up to our previous article about new industries coming to the Beyond the Baltic Sea map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2. We would like to share more insights into the variety of industrial installations that you will encounter while on deliveries; these are just some of the custom "prefabs" that our 3D model team is creating.
You can see parts of production chain buildings, like a material store at a concrete batching plant, or a paper mill along with a furniture factory. Advanced engineering industry is represented by the locomotive service/producing factory prefab.
Articles related to Beyond the Baltic Sea Expansion:
It is clear that the truck sim fan community is enjoying our World of Trucks events a lot. The ongoing ETS2 Start Your Engines event has already been completed by over 70,000 players!
Please keep in mind that the event ends in one week, on June 17th.
Thousands and thousands of new deliveries are finished every day, and you are sending us a lot of beautiful screenshots from your journeys. We have a lot of fun retweeting your pictures on SCS Software's Twitter.
The citizens of Portugal celebrate their big day on Sunday, and we thought that it provides a nice opportunity for us to offer them something to decorate their trucks with - Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Portuguese Paint Jobs Pack.
We know that the players of Iberia would want us to give them more than just truck cosmetics. We strongly believe that Euro Truck Simulator 2 still has enough life in it that eventually, we will also get to build a new map DLC comprising Portugal and Spain. Just please have patience with us, we keep strengthening our map design teams to cover more territory in both our games faster and better, but there is no denying that creating our huge worlds is a project that will take years. With your support, we are here to make it happen.
In a few days, our SCS On the Road team will be packing and setting on a new journey. Destination: Hungaroring! We are joining the fun at the 2nd race of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship season on this famous Hungarian circuit.
We are trying something new for this event, and we are really looking forward to it. Our core team will be complemented by János and Gábor, two very experienced Euro Truck Simulator players and long-time passionate fans of SCS Software games. This should help us bridge the language barrier, and make it easier for us to deal with input and feedback from the local players.
Who knows, maybe YOU would be helping us on one of the following events? ;-)
As usual, everyone who's going to come to the races will have a chance to visit our Sim Trailer. Stop by and try our games on our tuned 4D Motion Seats or have a chat with our crew, and perhaps even get a piece of our cool merchandise to remember the day.
If you can't make it Hungaroring on 16th or 17th of June, keep an eye on our social media channels. We will be sharing some moments, pictures, and videos during the weekend.
To illustrate the atmosphere of the roadshow, here is a couple of images from two weeks ago, when our sim trailer traveled to the first race of the FIA ETRC 2018 season at Misano World Circuit, Italy. It was a really hot and sunny weekend and we all had a great time with tons of visitors interested in our work. You can find even more photos if you visit our SCS Software Facebook profile.
A small team from Krone Trailers visited SCS Software's office to check on the progress of our work on implementing their trailers into Euro Truck Simulator 2. We have spent two days with our guests to explain and demonstrate the process of vehicle creation and discuss the challenges ahead of us when building the new DLC while aiming to push the quality bar up again. Their camera guy took the trip rather seriously and recorded a lot of footage.
During our visit to Krone manufacturing plant a couple of months ago, we have been provided with tons of high-quality reference material and access to the actual trailers in the manufacturing plant. It gives us a chance to portray them at an unprecedented level of detail. On top of it, this is going to be our pilot project into implementing new cool trailer-related features into our games! ;) As a result, we have a massive amount of work to do to make sure all the pieces of the puzzle fit together. We really hope that you will appreciate our effort eventually, even if it's a test of patience as it takes a lot of time for the team to pull this all off.
The team from Krone has created really nice video reports from the visit, and we think they may also be very interesting for our fans. There are two different versions of the videos, one in English, the other in German, but they are definitely not identical. The commentary, as well as some of the things shown, are different.
It is really exciting when major manufacturers from transportation industry pay closer attention to our games, and we certainly hope that our ties and involvement with the industry are going to further improve. Our SCS On the Road team (see their calendar) working "in the field" is helping us attract attention, not just from the numerous visitors of various events, but also from industry decision-makers in attendance. Our currently ongoing World of Trucks special event (have you given it a try yet?) is a clear indication that our games can connect the world of simulation games and truck industry really well.
Shameless plug at the end to promote the work of our friends at Krone Trailers media team: Fans of their production should consider checking out their social media channels including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. They are definitely very professionally managed and full of interesting content.
