The new filters will allow you to much more efficiently navigate the select role screen, which often contains dozens of aircraft slots on sophisticated multiplayer missions. The filters can be added one by one to narrow the list of available slots you may be interested in. They include airfields or starting points for the slot, aircraft type and specific seat/role in the cockpit.
In addition, a special group of filters will be available to filter slots to only those modules you have installed. Another filter for which airfield coalition is currently the same as the slot, in case of the airfield being captured by another coalition. Moreover, hot start, cold start and air start slots filters. A free search field will allow search for any specific string; you can search for a username to see which slot is occupied by this user. As a second step, we plan to improve the interface after joining the server with additional interaction right on the map. Please follow the news for more details coming soon.

This update will bring various improvements, including a major technology change for city blocks throughout the entire map. New points of interest (POIs) for cities, starting with Punta Arenas and Port Stanley have been added. Razbam are now using new city block models that are in line with the region's aesthetic. Additionally, they have made significant adjustments to tree distribution that aims to eliminate repetitive patterns across the map.
The roads in all cities have undergone a major revamp, with new textures, models, and layouts. Rural areas have also received attention with the addition of new villages across the map. Furthermore, we have introduced a deep water port for Rio Grande, and completely reworked Port Stanley and Goose Green from the ground up.

Syria
Development Progress
The Syria map has been enhanced to maximise performance, while still striving to uphold an even greater level of detail. Notably, night time illumination has been enhanced throughout the map, rendering night flights even more captivating. Furthermore, we have diligently upgraded a significant portion of our cars fleet, implemented right-hand traffic on the island of Cyprus, updated the map's legend, and augmented damaged vehicle models.
A lot of work has been done to optimise the map, which provides an increase in FPS from 10-20%. Moreover, this update encompasses numerous minor refinements to heighten the realism and immersion. It is with great enthusiasm that we present this update in the next Open Beta update and kindly await your feedback.
Please remember that during the on-going DCS Summer Sale, you can benefit from a huge 30% discount on this map. With the imminent update, DCS: Syria at $41.99 USD is a steal. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1120300/DCS_Syria/

GFM
Development Progress
Following the completion of tight formation GFM implementation our current GFM task is development of algorithms loose formation behavior. Due to the large turn radius for loose formation modes, wingmen must follow their own independent trajectories in order to position correctly on the leader. New algorithms are being developed to take both kinematic trajectories and pilot/aircraft visibility conditions into account, similar to what real pilots must to keep their lead aircraft always in sight.
Stab and trim position during speed changes
The above graph is a recording of the stab trim position during acceleration and deceleration. As increased power creates a nose-up pitching moment, the stab trim positions are not the same for acceleration at max AB and deceleration at idle, especially at low speeds and requires more nose-down input. Mach-related changes are noticeable near Mach 1. We are really excited with the progress being made and are confident that the wingman GFM and general AI aircraft GFM will be unique in any simulation worldwide. Please follow the news for more information as we continue to enhance this highly complex general flight model.
B-17 Flying Fortress
Livery Contest
Contest details: The livery must be created using this template. The livery must be based on historical liveries in use for the B-17G in the timeline of 1943-45. The livery should be associated with a country who genuinely operates the B-17G, USAAF, RAF, etc. If you do a specific livery with nose art and aircraft name, please also include a generic version with no nose art, aircraft name or bort numbers. This will give users more options.
The contest will run until the 30th August 2023. The top five winners will receive a free copy of the DCS: World War II Assets Pack or a module of their choice. The top ten will have their liveries added to DCS. The top winner will also receive two additional modules of their choice. Good luck!

DCS: F-15E Top Tips Radar channels are modelled, so if in MP many players on the same coalition are close together and on channel A, then they will see interference that looks like jamming on the radar - they need to deconflict channels. PACS - All none smart weapons have to be manually input into the jet on each in game rearm. Mic switch needs to be set to "on" to communicate with ground crew if canopy is closed - default it is off. A/P button on the UFC keypad not only shows the autopilot menu, but also enables autopilot. If they want to just look at the menu, then use the UFC PB9 from the main menu. (This is correct behaviour) LANTRIN pod will prohibit laser use above 25kft - intended behaviour. LANTRIN Pod has only FLIR function, no CCD/TV. There is an option in F-15E special options to set how many processor cores are used for the radar - adjusting this will help with FPS issues. Cold Start - Apply the parking brake before setting INS to ALIGN, otherwise the process may fail. Avoid rearming whilst alignment is in progress. Cold Start - Some systems can only be powered up from WSO seat (TGP & Countermeasures) so single crew will need to hop in the back to power on.
DCS: F-15E by RAZBAM - Known Issues Bombs dropped in AUTO mode can land long of target for wings level release. It is recommended to do a dive bombing for improved accuracy. CBUs can open prematurely, specially if dropped above 1500 ft AGL HUD Repeater in MPCD sometimes not visible MFD exports not yet implemented Volume control for TEWS & TACAN WIP WSO HOTAS commands WIP AA/AG Gun piper aims high. Some items on UFC not synced between front and back cockpit - WIP Cockpit Mirrors not symmetrical Rear cockpit MFD displays cannot be programmed. It is not possible to change the GBUs laser code with the kneeboard. Sometimes PACS does not automatically recognize a weapons load. It must be manually entered. GUARD is not monitored when selected in the Presets and active mode is Manual Frequency Using AG Radar HRM mode can cause a drop in FPS during the image digitalization phase. This depends on the running computer specs. Very Rarely, when using AG Radar, DCS will freeze for a second while checking the terrain. This depends on the running computer specs. It is recommended to use the AG radar with DCS MT. AI wingmen will attack with gun only despite having more relevant ordnance. Dumping fuel will cause fuel totalizer to read 0. Only High rate of fire available for gun

The updated helmet is a new 3D model that also includes options for JHMCS, sun visor, and night vision goggles. The oxygen facemask has also been updated to be more representative of our 2005 F/A-18C Lot 20. Aspects of this will also benefit other pilot models, like the new upcoming F-16C pilot model.
SA 342 Gazelle
Development Report
The new SA-342 flight model, although still being tuned, introduces many new or reworked behaviors that include ground effect, flapback/blowback, retreating blade stall, density altitude, and ETL as well as a functional stability augmentation system.
The SA-342L is now equipped with a periscope sight, rather than the CRT screen, for reconnaissance and target acquisition; it is also now capable of carrying a variety of weapons including HOT-3 missiles, HMP400 .50 cal gun pods, the GIAT M621 20mm cannon, SNEB 68mm rockets, and Mistral ATAM replacing the previously available SA-342 Mistral variant. The cockpit layout will also change based on the loadout, and you will now have greater control of weapon configurations.
The SA-342 has also received numerous quality of life enhancements that include reworked sighting stability, various special options for trimming, and the ability to hide the collective and gunsight.
A complete listing of SA-342 changes and fixes is available in the change logs of last week's DCS Open Beta patch. Please read the full changelog here.
