Bugfixes
  • Glaive IPC and The Flail now play audible muzzle blast audio when firing salvos. These can be heard out to their respective max ranges (600m for The Flail and 1000m for Glaive IPC).
  • Targeting Lasers can no longer paint targets from a vehicle's rumble seat.
  • Equipping the Targeting Laser for the Orbital Strike Uplink no longer displays no deploy zones on the mini-map.
  • Targeting Laser feedback for targets in no deploy zones no longer references a targeting dart.

Tides of Summer Event
Operation Tidebreaker
  • Summer directives are back with Operation Tidebreaker! Complete a variety of challenges from July 5 through July 31 to earn summer-themed Lumifiber trim for the Corsair and Harasser.
Summer Bundles
  • Fiery Ares Helmet, stylish Lightning Surfbreaker Plating, and razor-sharp Corsair Surfcutter Plating make their debut in the Depot. Available for a limited time.
  • Liberation Bundle, Stars and Stripes Contrails Bundle, flare guns, soldier soakers, and sparkler hood ornaments return to the Depot for a limited time.
Double XP for ALL
  • To celebrate the start of Operation Tidebreaker all players will receive double experience rewards from July 21 through July 23!
New Implants
  • New implants have been added to the game. These implants are available from Basic Implant Packs, Deluxe Implant Packs, ISO-4 Recycler, and the Implant Crafting interface.
Juggernaut
  • Melee attacks knock enemies away a short distance. MAX only.
Deadshot
  • When your total health drops below [20/20/20/20/30]% your weapon's cone of fire improves by [5/7/10/12/15]% for [5/5/7/10/12] seconds.
Rapid Response
  • While wielding a beneficial construction module your sprint speed is increased by [7/10/13/15/15]%. At max rank, the time to install beneficial modules is reduced by 50%.
Karma
  • Each time you revive an ally a charge is added to Karma. At [30/27/24/20/20] charges, your next death allows you to self-revive once at [50/50/50/50/100]% health. Redeploying or using an equipment terminal will wipe your current progress. Combat Medic only.
Air Drop
  • Upon exiting a vehicle Jump Jet recharge rate is increased by [7/7/7/7/10]% for [8/10/12/15/20] seconds. Light Assault only. 30 second cooldown after triggering.
Overcharge
  • While overshield is active your primary weapon's bullets will now pierce through one infantry target before stopping. While this implant is equipped your overshield's maximum energy will be reduced by [30/25/20/15/15]%. Heavy Assault only.
Dev Note: A massive thanks to those who tested and provided feedback about these (and other) implants during the weeks they were iterated upon on the Public Test Server. Improvements were made for everything from balancing to names. And while the release may not be perfect, some potentially meta-breaking mistakes were avoided with the invaluable help of our community.

New Construction Targeting Lasers
  • Targeting Darts for the Glaive, Flail, and Orbital Strike Uplink have been retired
  • Glaive, Flail, and Orbital Strike Uplink now use a Targeting Laser to paint their targets
  • Acquire Time: 3000ms
  • Min Distance (from player): 20m
  • Max Distance (from player): 150m
  • Targets must be approximately 175m away from the related artillery piece (this range is unchanged).
Dev Note: These were previewed prior to the Fortification update, later mentioned in the Fortification patch notes, and are now ready for the Live environment. The new targeting system allows for more counter-play when painting a target as the player must remain exposed for the duration of the acquisition time and is no longer able to "lob" targeting darts from relative safety (or cloak and run to safety while the dart is still in the air).

Construction Changes
Glaive IPC
  • Now stops firing after each volley.
  • Added warning text to indicate an artillery strike for players in the area.
  • Adjusted a socket so the terminal interaction prompt will no longer move as the cannon rotates.
The Flail
  • Adjusted smoke indicator to red smoke to reduce confusion with squad smoke.
  • Added warning text to indicate an artillery strike for players in the area.
UI Changes
  • Disabling Social Icons in the "Waypoints and Nameplate Options" will no longer display a vehicle icon
  • Light vehicle icons are now being displayed for construction bases
  • Removed timer for vehicle abilities that have a progress bar
Bugfixes
  • Adjusted rock placement in and around Seapost J8 to prevent players from getting stuck.
  • Corrected color and texture issues with a variety of helmets and armors.
  • Previewed Cold Fire afterburner effects no longer persist longer than desired
  • Fixed shadow clipping when piloting an aircraft
  • Fixed reload animation on "Endeavor" weapons

UI Changes
  • Added ability to toggle off HUD Indicator Waypoints
  • Added ability to toggle off HUD Indicator Nameplates
  • Added terminal icons to deployment interface for construction bases

Bug Fixes
  • Mining and depositing cortium will again provide experience.
  • Oshur meltdown alert should no longer be able to start while the continent is locked.
  • NS-D Helios will correctly play its reload animation in first person when switching to alternate fire mode with under 50 ammo in the magazine.
  • Fix for intermittent flicker on certain shield shaders
  • Fix for deployed vehicles that could still display despawn timers in some situations.
  • Fix for loyalty gain notifications always showing +0
  • Note that this was a display issue only. Players were earning loyalty as expected.

Construction
  • Construction items no longer have a cost in VR
  • The Glaive IPC's targeting dart no longer requires a line of sight with the base Glaive structure
  • Added cortium cost (50 per burst) to the Glaive IPC
  • Faction Banners no longer decay when in range of a silo
  • Decaying Faction Banners no longer provide experience when repaired
  • Command Center and Rebirthing Center terminals are no longer available when the structure is not powered by a silo
  • Fixed an issue where Tapp Waystation did not have enough space to build a Command Center and Rebirth Center
  • Dev Note: Two sections of the ring have been removed, allowing the construction of larger structures in those two locations
  • Routers that are not under the influence of a friendly Routing Spire (500m range) will decay and die within 10 seconds
  • Dev Note - Routers can be under the influence of multiple friendly Routing Spires
  • Removed the Access/Permissions radial menu from the Routing Spire
  • Routing Spires' interaction prompt is now easier to access
  • Pulling vehicles from construction terminals no longer grant XP
  • Updated the Solid Wall construction item so the module is accessible at both the upper and lower limits of its build height
  • Solid Wall constructions limits are now at the intended max of 4 per player
  • Previously a bug limited this to 3 per player
  • Terminals from construction objects that have been hacked, and then hacked back, can be deconstructed by the owner
  • Fixed an issue that caused Light Air and Vehicle Terminals to cease functioning after a nearby friendly Silo was destroyed when powered by both a Silo and Construction Facility Silo
  • Orbital Strike Uplink now has ambient audio
Misc. Changes, Fixes, and Additions
  • Fixed a memory leak caused by DLSS and GUI models
  • This leak was most noticeable in Sanctuary with a UI menu open
  • NS-D Helios can now be purchased from the Depot
  • NS Heavy Weapons now work with marketplace filters
  • Fixed erratic left hand animation "popping" while reloading
  • This mainly affected NSO weapons
  • Oshur: Vehicles are no longer able to enter warpgate spawn areas to block access to terminals
  • Oshur: Jaeger: Mini-Meltdowns will no longer trigger if Alerts are disabled
  • New faction based audio tracks have been added to the Character Select screen
  • Selecting a character will play one of the faction based audio tracks at random
  • Updated Esamir map and mini-map
  • Various string updates to account for more accurate and up to date item descriptions

Construction
  • The Durability Module now provides increased damage resistance from tank shells and Air to Ground weaponry
  • Increased damage resistance for construction objects from the Yellowjacket and the Howler mining lasers
  • When a silo is destroyed it will no longer consume Cortium from all nearby structures. It will only consume Cortium from the structures below.
  • Ammo Tower
  • Routing Spire
  • Vehicle Gate
  • Recon Array

Dev Note: This change will aide in the ability to get a base up and running again after a silo has been destroyed, and a new silo is constructed.

  • Facility Silos now accept Cortium deposits
  • The Pillbox and Spear AV Turret construction objects now accept modules
  • Fix in place to prevent flickering on the Command Center's Skywall Shield
Dev Note: We will monitor this and adjust as needed

  • ANTs now have the Gate Shield Diffuser as a Utility slot option
  • The Solid Wall construction object no longer decays when in range of Silo with Cortium
  • Repair Modules now affect the Solid Wall construction object
  • Module Dispenser no longer takes damage from friendly fire
  • Module Dispenser now shows the correct interaction prompt when access is restricted
  • The Vehicle Gate's shield FX now despawns with the Vehicle Gate
  • Command Center terminals no longer take damage
  • Updated Routing Spire terminal texture
  • Removed a potential secondary floating terminal screen from the Routing Spire
  • Orbital Strike Uplink now displays damage FX
  • Glave and Flail interaction terminals are easier to access
  • While in an ANT, the nearest Silo's HUD indicator icon will clamp to the edge of the client/screen
  • Cortium Silo's building FX now last for the entire build time

NS-D Helios
  • Switching to and from the Helios now plays the appropriate animation
  • Reloading the Helios now plays the correct animation
  • HS/NV scope added to the Helios
  • 3.4x and infrared scopes are now positioned correctly on the rail
  • ADS adjustments for a more accurate CoF
  • Burst mode's initial shots are now more accurate while in ADS
  • Alternate fire reload now uses the correct animation timing
  • Alternate fire mode CoF is now more accurate for both hip fire and while ADS
  • Alternative fire mode direct and indirect damage output has been decreased
  • Extended Magazine now increases the magazine size by 50
  • Converted the Forward Grip attachment to a Comfort Grip
  • Primary and alternate fire modes now use common movement speed adjustments
Applies to both ADS and while the Helios is carried at the hip
  • Weapon unequip time has been increased
  • 5 Round burst now has a HUD fire mode icon
  • Tool-tip icon is no longer low res

Apex SMGs
  • Kills with Apex SMGs now contribute to class directives requiring SMG kills
  • Iron sights for the AF-4 Cyclone and PMG-100 are no longer misaligned

Planetside 20-Year Legacy Directive Event
  • Focused Assault: Only kills during Meltdown alerts count towards progress
  • Directive events have now been localized in French and Russian

Misc. Changes, Fixes, and Additions
  • Removed recent work regarding point lights and particle illumination
This will address numerous accounts of flickering particles, intensely bright lights, and possible performance dips when in range of particles being illuminated by point lights

  • Oshur: Added Unstable Meltdown to possible alerts
  • Oshur: Alerts will now trigger quicker under low population conditions
  • UI: Report Player option is now accessible from the Support menu
  • UI: Place-able items now tint appropriately
  • UI: Settings: Reticle tinting now has a Reset to Default option
  • UI: Settings: Chat Background Opacity slider now has an accurate tool-tip
  • UI: The Construction Preview on the ANT's loadout screen is no longer enabled while re-deploying
This button was previously unresponsive while in this state

  • Missions: Construction tutorial missions no longer appear after completion
  • Anti-Material and Bolt-Action rifles now play the correct reload animation when the magazine is empty
  • Esamir: Esper Research Station's spawn point is now named correctly
  • Attachments: Heavy Barrel movement speed reduction is now percentage based (reducing the overall movement penalty)
  • Deathnaught Helmet: Camos no longer affect the eye section
  • L2-100 Kingsnake's reload speed has been slightly increased
  • Various item description updates
  • FX have been applied to Routers allowing better visibility from a distance
  • Removed an "@" symbol from displaying as a capture point on the HUD while in VR
  • Air resupply pads at Tannae Power Base now function correctly
  • Updated localization pass to account for various strings
  • Removed several inaccessible Cortium nodes on Oshur
