Hello Maplers,

We have identified an error where the Legendary 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat was obtainable using Violet Cubes and Unicubes.

In the v.237 update, we implemented a change where the Legendary Potential stat ‘Boss Damage +30%’ would no longer be obtainable when using Red Cube, Black Cube, Meister’s Cube, Unicube, Violet Cube, and Cube of Equality. However, we have identified an error starting in v.239 where the Potential stat was still obtainable when using only Violet Cubes and Unicubes. We sincerely apologize for this oversight.

We plan to resolve this in the v.261 update and provide compensation for affected players, as outlined below.

Converting Potential Stats for Affected Legendary Equipment

• The Legendary 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat will no longer be obtainable using Violet Cubes and Unicubes, and will be removed.
• For players who obtained the Legendary 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat using Violet Cubes and Unicubes and still have the affected equipment, the stat will be replaced with the 'Boss Damage +35%' Potential stat.
  • Equipment that obtained the Legendary 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat before the v.237 update will remain as is.
  • The Unique 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat will remain as is.

Violet Cube and Unicube Compensation Details

• Violet Cube and Unicube will be issued as compensation for affected players on July 16, 2025 (after maintenance) through the Gift Drop.
• Players who obtained the Legendary 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat for the first time using Violet Cubes and Unicubes will be compensated with the number of cubes used from that point onward, up to the last cube used.
  • The number of compensated cubes will be calculated based on the quantity used during each promotional sale period and within the valid usage window for those cubes.
  • The total quantity includes cubes used when the Legendary 'Boss Damage +30%' Potential stat was first obtained.
  • For Violet Cubes, the quantity will be based on when the stat appeared, not when the player selected it.
  • For Unicubes, only cubes used to obtain the stat will be considered, excluding those used just for changing the line.

Hello Maplers,

We know many of you have been looking forward to the v.260 update, and we sincerely apologize for the unexpected downtime and delays. After the update, we discovered serious issues involving meso and item duplication, which required an emergency maintenance so we could thoroughly investigate. We want to assure you that we are taking this matter very seriously.

We have already taken action against accounts that deliberately exploited these issues which negatively affected the game.

Here’s how we are addressing the exploits:

• Meso and Item Duplication

  • We have identified exploits involving the duplication of mesos and items that undermine the integrity of the game. 228 accounts have been permanently banned, and any duplicated items and mesos are to be removed.

• Content Repetition

  • We also identified players who intentionally exploited boss content and Demon Slayer-related content, which is against our Terms of Service. 233 accounts have been temporarily banned, and the length of each ban depends on severity. Items that were intentionally claimed multiple times are to be removed.

This investigation is ongoing and will require some time to fully complete. During this process, we will remove exploited items and issue player bans as needed.

We understand how frustrating this downtime has been, and we sincerely apologize to our players who were unable to enjoy MapleStory during this extended investigation period. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please see below for compensation details:
