We’re excited to see everyone’s interest in the launch of the Steam Community Market (Beta) feature! However, we’re aware that a small number of players experienced an issue where their items disappeared when attempting to register them to the Steam Inventory UI.

As we continue to improve and refine this Beta feature, we’ve identified the cause and are working on a fix scheduled for next week’s maintenance.

To prevent further issues, we're temporarily disabling the ability to register items to the Steam Inventory UI and the sale of Oswell's Scissors of Karma today, at 2:00 PM PDT (5:00 PM EDT / 10:00 PM CET / 8:00 AM AEDT March 22), until the fix is in place. Please note that any items already in your Steam Inventory will continue to function normally on the Steam Community Market and can be retrieved as usual.

For players who were affected, any lost items will be returned once the issue is resolved.

We are aware of an issue where players are experiencing server crashes. While we work to resolve this issue, all game servers will be temporarily offline until further notice.

• Resolved an issue where some game servers experienced crashing issues.
• Resolved an issue where players would receive an error when attempting to go past the channel selection screen.
• Resolved an issue where equipping Silver blossom Rings obtained from Tanjiro's Journal event displayed an error with incorrect text.
• Temporarily disabled the sale of Sharing Tags in the Cash Shop due to clients crashing when the item is used. For players who already own a Sharing Tag, we recommend not using the item to prevent client crashes. This issue will be resolved in a future maintenance, please check our Known Issues post for updates.
• Unscheduled Emergency Maintenance Compensation

Known Issues:

• Tanjiro's Journal
  • Upon accepting the ‘[Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba] Tanjiro's Adventure Journal’ quest, the event duration text is displaying twice.
• Common
  • Players would sometimes receive a "This account has not been verified" error when attempting to go past the channel selection screen.
  • Players using GeForce Now are unable to log into the game.
  • Players with 55 characters created are unable to expand their character slot by +1. This issue will be resolved in next week's maintenance.

Resolved Issues:

  • Resolved an issue where Tanjiro characters could not use Extreme Growth Potions obtained from Tanjiro's Journal event.
  • Resolved an issue where Philosopher's Book gave items that were intended to be given at another date. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Player Support.
  • Resolved an issue where the Steam Community Market (Beta) feature was unavailable due to technical issues.

We are excited to announce that the v.258 update will include a beta feature enabling the trading of various cosmetic items through the Steam Community Market. Access to this functionality will be available in-game and will include the ability to manage or add items into your respective Steam Inventory!

What is the Steam Community Market?

• A dedicated marketplace within the Steam platform, where players can trade items using the Steam Wallet.
• The value of Steam marketplace items is determined by player transactions and prices may fluctuate according to supply and demand.
• Items that can be traded have no impact on in-game balance, and players neither lose nor gain anything even if they do not purchase any items.

Trading Guidelines:
Eligible Accounts

• Nexon accounts linked with a Steam account can access the in-game Steam Inventory UI.
• The linked Steam account must meet Steam's eligibility requirements for using the Steam Community Market.
• Once your Steam account is linked, you can still access your Steam Inventory UI in the game even if you launch MapleStory through the Nexon Launcher.

Target Worlds & Regions

• Trades can be made in both Interactive and Heroic Worlds, and can even be made between Interactive and Heroic Worlds.
• Trades can be made in both North America and Europe regions, and can even be made between the two regions. 

Target Items

• Cosmetic items from Surprise Style Boxes sold from January 2017 until now are included in the list of items that can be traded.
  • This restriction is to help better verify the stability of trades during this beta service period.
  • The list of items is subject to change at any time.
• Only items that are untradable can be sold in the Steam Community Market. As such, items purchased from the Steam Community Market will be untradeable in-game. So, please be mindful when trading.

Oswell's Scissors of Karma:
What are Oswell's Scissors of Karma?

• In order to trade items from Global MapleStory, Oswell’s Scissors of Karma must be used to move an item from your inventory to your Steam Inventory.
• Only items that have been moved to your Steam Inventory can be viewed in the Steam Community Market storage.

Notice:

• The Steam Market is a separate platform from Nexon, so please forward any inquiries or requests for support to Steam Customer Support if you experience any issues.
• All transactions are made through the Steam Wallet.
• Before trading, please be sure to check the Steam Community Market FAQ and Trading and Market Restrictions on the official Steam website.
• Due to Dutch law, players in the Netherlands cannot access the in-game Steam Inventory UI.

Unicube Issue resolution:

• All item potentials affected by Unicubes during the issue have been rolled back  to a state prior to using the Unicube.
  • Unicubes that have been normally consumed have been returned.
• Players that received items from the Auction House will be refunded Mesos. 
  • We will retrieve Mesos from the first player that listed the affected item on the Auction House.
• Temporary bans of up to 60 days will be applied based on severity of the exploit.

• Receive one Alphabet Letter at a set rate when a Pink Bundle or Hot Pink Bundle is opened. Collect enough Alphabet Letters to complete a Pink Bean Fan Slogan and earn rewards!
• You can obtain up to 99 for each alphabet letter.
• Your character’s item drop rate will also apply to the set rate.
• Alphabet Letters obtained by opening the bundle are shared between characters within the same world and are untradable.

• You can purchase an additional Pink Bundle x20 for 3,000 Maple Points once a day per world!
• Hot Pink Bundle is used in the order the bundles are located in the inventory, regardless of tradability.
• When the bundle is opened, there is a set chance of obtaining Alphabet Letters according to each Alphabet Letter's level of rarity.
• The expiration of the Pink Bundle purchased is the same as the event's end date, and can be transferred between your characters within the world.
• Event progress such as the amount of Alphabet Letters owned, completed Fan Slogans, and Alphabet Powder are shared between characters within the same world.
• Check the amount of Alphabet Letters owned through the Event UI.

• Need a specific letter for a fan slogan? Craft it using Alphabet Powder!
• Obtain Alphabet Powder by combining any 5 letters collected from the Pink Bundles or Hot Pink Bundles.
• The total amount of Alphabet Powder obtained from combining letters is calculated based on the rarity of each letter used.
• Use Alphabet Powder to craft the letter of your choice!
