Hi Maplers,

An issue where the Steadfast Child Gift Box rewarded from the Ghastly the Snowman event could be claimed repeatedly has been fixed. Upon further investigation of the issue, we discovered there were many instances of players that took advantage of the bug and abused it to receive rewards in excess of the intended amounts. Therefore, the following actions have been taken against these players in accordance with our policies:

1. Any accounts with more Steadfast Child Gift Boxes than what can normally be obtained per day have had their remaining boxes removed.
   
2. Accounts that exploited this issue will be reviewed and actions will be taken according to our policies.

The Steadfast Child Gift Boxes will be re-enabled on December 20 after maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience to gameplay caused during this investigation, and will provide 30 Steadfast Child Gift Boxes to all players. These boxes can be claimed through the Gift Drop until December 22 at 23:59 UTC.

We must defend Maplemas from Fright, an invader from the outer spheres! Holly and Jolly are relying on us to help save Dark Maplemas from pesky present stealers.

• After completing the quest, head over to Jolly and accept the ‘[Dark Maplemas] O Holy Fright’ quest to begin.
• Stay on your toes! If you get hit with the barrage you will get damaged. Use your Shift and direction keys to fire at Fright.
  • Keep in mind that your skills will not be available during this quest.
• There are 3 types of barrages that can cause damage:

♪ Ghastly the Snowman, is a very angry foe, made of snow and hate and magic too great because Holly's portal closed too slow! Ghastly the Snowman, can be fought in his own place, take the portal in and battle to win while you punch him in the face! ♪



Once you hunt 1,000 monsters around your level, a portal to Ghastly the Snowman's domain will appear, allowing for a fight similar to the Inferno Wolf's Den (only a bit colder). You'll have a minute to take him down with special prizes on the line based on how much damage you do.
