The Neo: Light's Wrath update is upon us, and Tera Burning Plus is back for a second round of power-leveling fun! Make a new character to race up to Lv. 220, and keep advancing your characters through Burning World in advance of August's Burning World Leap!

The second round of the Tera Burning Plus Project is here to help you level a brand-new character up, not just to Lv. 200, but Lv. 220 as well with another character!

Create a brand-new character during the event period and select it to have the special "Burning" effect. This event is open to characters in both Reboot and non-Reboot worlds, except for Zero and Kain characters.

After your character reaches Lv. 10, every time that character levels up it will gain an additional two levels all the way up to Lv. 200!


In addition to all this, you'll also earn amazing rewards along the way, including Root Abyss and Fafnir gear! When you reach Lv. 200 on your ‘Burning’ character, don’t stop there but keep on training! You will receive additional rewards on your ‘Burning’ character at Lv. 200, Lv. 205, Lv. 210, and Lv. 220!

Here's How it Works

Create a brand-new character during the event period. From the character select screen, choose the new character on your account to have the "Burning" effect. Then, accept the quest "It's the Tera Burning Project gift giveaway!" from the star event notifier on the left-side of the game window in order to start receiving rewards! Only one character on your account can have the "Burning" effect.



After completing the quest "It's the Tera Burning Project gift giveaway!," you will receive all of your gifts immediately; however, you will not be able to use all of them until you meet the required level for each reward.

Burning World is a special world with special rules that will exist only for the duration of the Burning World event, filled with boosts to make it easier than ever to level up fast. While on Burning World, all characters will gain the special Burning skill, which grants the following bonuses:

• 1.5x EXP
• Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +50
• Damage against Normal Monsters +30%
• Damage against Bosses +30%
• Critical Rate +30%
• Critical Damage +30%

You will also be able to create two Mega Burning characters, who operate in the same manner as in previous Mega Burning events: After reaching Lv. 10, every time that character levels up, they will also gain two bonus levels, all the way up to Lv. 150. Combined with the Burning EXP bonus and boosted damage, you'll be able to power your way through those levels faster than ever before!



Additionally, even after your Mega Burning characters have been created, you'll be able to create another four characters to level up and leap, which will still benefit from the Burning skill! Please note that, while the default number of Character Slots on Burning World is eight, and can be expanded via Character Slot Coupons awarded from Daily Gifts and other avenues, only six characters will be able to World Leap when the Burning World event comes to a close, even if you have more than six Lv. 150 characters on the world. Additionally, Zero and Kain characters cannot be selected as a "Burning" character.

As Burning World is a temporary world to be removed at the end of the World Leap stage, some MapleStory features will be unavailable there:

• The Meso Market will not be available.
• Link Skills cannot be transferred between characters on Burning World (the Burning skill will have to be enough!).
• Maple Legion will be unavailable; the UI will be unavailable and you will be unable to progress on it past talking to Legion NPCs.
• Monster Collection will be unavailable, monsters will not be added to the collection and the UI will not open.
• Maple Tour will not be available.

As the saying goes, the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and the Burning World will burn very brightly indeed. However, while this new world will be consumed at the end of it all, a new life awaits your characters in the other worlds of MapleStory!

Lv. 150+ characters in Burning World will be allowed to leap to another world of your choosing during the World Leap period, taking their equipped items, inventory, and mesos with them to join their new communities. When this period begins, all Burning World characters will be moved to the Burning Leap Zone map, where they will be able to speak to the NPC Mover to complete their exodus.

• Characters in Burning World must be at least Lv. 150 in order to World Leap, whether they were Mega Burning characters or not.
  • Zero characters must be both Lv. 150+ and having completed Story Quest Act 2.
  • It will not be possible to leave the Burning Leap Zone map during this period, making it impossible to gain any more EXP. Make sure you're Lv. 150 before the August 25 maintenance!
• Even if you have more than six Lv. 150 characters on Burning World, only six of them will be allowed to World Leap.
• You do not need an empty character slot on the destination world for your new character (you will be granted a free Character Slot if you are at your unlocked limit on that world), however if you have reached the maximum character limit on that world, you will need to delete a character in order to make room for them.
• Characters can be transferred to non-Reboot worlds only.
• Characters in Guilds will not be able to World Leap until they have either left or disbanded their Guild.
• Your character's equipped items, inventory, and mesos will be transferred with your character, but items within your Storage, Cash Shop Inventory, mail, and auction house will not be. Make sure you clear everything out before taking the big leap!
• You may send your Burning World characters all to the same world, or to different worlds.
• Medals obtained from regularly-resetting rankings will not be transferred, and your rankings in those pieces of content will also not be transferred.

 

Double Miracle Time is returning to MapleStory in late July... but not as it once was. In the past, Double Miracle Time would run for three hour-long periods on a Saturday, giving everyone in MapleStory double the odds of ranking-up their equipment's Potential through Red Cubes, Black Cubes, Bonus Potential Cubes, White Cubes, and Violet Cubes. Maplers all over the world would make sure to be online for those periods, ready to get the most out of their equipment's improvements... which sometimes resulted in server instability issues.

In order to make sure that you get the most out of Double Miracle Time this time around, we're launching the Mark Your Miracle Time Event! Instead of taking place for three hours on a particularly frenetic Saturday, Maplers can schedule one day from Wednesday, July 28, 2021 through Tuesday, August 3, 2021 to have their Miracle Time, spreading out the demands on MapleStory's servers and making sure that everyone gets the most out of their Miracle Time!

Event Details:

• When the Registration Period begins, use the Star Event Notifier to accept the "[Miracle Time] Hurry and Mark Your Miracle Time" quest to be awarded a registration coin, and select which date you'd like to try to purchase a Mark Your Miracle Time Registration Ticket for.
• Use the Star Event Notifier to travel to the Miracle Time Registration Map, and speak to the NPC there to purchase a Mark Your Miracle Time Registration Ticket for the previously selected day. In order to prevent overcrowding, you will only have 60 seconds to make the purchase, after which time you will be returned to the previous map you were on, and have to select a day again. Failing to purchase a ticket will not prevent you from accessing the same Mark Your Miracle Time Registration Ticket vendor.
• Miracle Time will, as usual, occur during three hour-long periods during the day. For example, an 8/1 Mark Your Miracle Time Registration Ticket will enable Miracle Time during the following periods:

It has been a while since the last memo and I hope you’re having a good summer time!

Today I would like to talk about our upcoming Double Miracle Time (DMT) event that we plan to have in late July since we’re trying to run the event differently this time.

As you may know, we had server instability issues the last time we ran the DMT event as it's one of the most beloved and highly participated events in MapleStory. Due to this reason, we had to take some time to come up with ideas to run the event in a more stable way while still giving many players a chance to make the best use of the event perks.

This time, there will be a registration period prior to the actual DMT event where players will have to accept a quest and select the day when they want to enjoy the DMT perks between July 28 and August 3. We call this new version of the event “Mark Your Miracle Time” and players can participate in the Mark Your Miracle Time one day per world during the event duration. Each Mark Your Miracle Time day will be capable of hosting 4,000 players per world and in total, 28,000 players will be able to participate per world over the course of the event. This will allow us to split the participants into several days so the server won’t receive the influx of system requests all in one day. As for the Mark Your Miracle Time perks that will start from July 28, the benefits will remain the same as that of our previous DMT event. However, since you will not be able to participate in the Mark Your Miracle Time event without the registration, I would like to encourage you to keep an eye on the MapleStory website for further details so that you can complete the registration on time. The registration will start from July 22 at 5:00 PM PDT (July 23 at 12:00 AM UTC) and we also plan to release a more detailed video guide and web post that elaborate on this event early next week. Please be prepared for the Mark Your Miracle Time registration event!

One other thing I would like to let you know is that we will not have a cube pack deal with the Mark Your Miracle Time event since our number one priority this time is server stability. Due to the concerns that too many Cash Shop requests can cause severe server load, which may hinder the event, we will be holding it without the sale this time around. This might be disappointing news for some players but I hope you understand our efforts to run this event in a stable way as much as possible.

I would also like to talk about our recent players’ concern for transparent communication. I fully understand your frustration and I also agree that we need to give our players a clear answer about the important matters you care about. Players are putting a lot of effort into our game and as a MapleStory Producer, I truly appreciate that we have dedicated players like you. While we fully understand that players would like to hear more about the important topics from us, it is true that it is difficult for us to give quick answers to your questions since we have our internal process to follow when reviewing and discussing these contents and topics. We need to be responsible for the things we say, so we try to be more cautious when sharing any opinions or news with the players. It doesn’t mean that we’re not looking at what players are discussing in the community channels and what concerns our players have about some game topics. Sometimes, it takes longer for us to talk about a certain issue because some topics require thorough review internally before we come to a conclusion that we can share publicly.

However, as I mentioned in my other memo, we’re continuously working with internal teams to improve our communication and we will do our best to give you a fast and clear update when there are game issues or updates that you need to be aware of. We will try to be transparent as much as we can when providing those updates as well. Our current focus is to find out the cause of the Reboot lag issue and we’re working closely with internal teams and our players to improve the Reboot environment. We received video capture of the issue from some players and based on that information, we started testing the different server configurations to pinpoint the cause of the issue and address the problem.

Attention Maplers,

As mentioned on the Update on Bonus Stat Generation Issue Compensation post, we provided compensation points for Rebirth Flames and Inner Abilities used between February 1, 2019 at 12:00 AM UTC and February 26, 2021 at 3:00 AM UTC. After the 'Exchange Rebirth Flame/Honor EXP Points' quest was temporarily disabled to address the issues stated on the Bonus Stat Compensation Issue Update post, we extended the Rebirth Flame and Honor EXP Point compensation expiration to July 20 at 11:59 PM UTC.

As the expiration date approaches, we would like to remind all Maplers to claim the remaining compensation via the 'Exchange Rebirth Flame/Honor EXP Points' quest through Maple Administrator in the Event Hall!
