The Beast Tamer character job is BACK for a limited time!



Chase, the Beast Tamer, is a simple girl with big dreams. One day she saves a cat named Arby, and gains the ability to control animals through Arby's mysterious powers.



As Chase and Arby set out for adventure, more animals flock to their side. Now Chase can harness the power of Fort the Bear, Lai the Snow Leopard, Eka the Hawk, and of course, Arby the Cat. Each animal power Chase uses bestows different personality characteristics and strengths for dynamic gameplay.



Chase has over 70 diverse skills, and since there are four animal modes, it’s easy to find one tailored just for you! Fort the Bear deals massive damage from a stationary position, while Lai the Snow Leopard specializes in dash and jump attacks, allowing you to quickly sweep across the battlefield.





Eka the Hawk can soar into the sky with flying and sliding moves. Arby the Cat has passive skills and is a party support specialist, and can deal out party buffs.

The war against the Black Mage has finally begun, so join Cygnus in her quest to bring peace to Maple World with these Maple Alliance events! Players Lv. 61 and up will be able to join the Maple Alliance, and start completing Maple Alliance missions to accumulate Determination. As you and other players gain Determination, the World Gauge will gradually fill up and progress the story, and help to unlock the final battle against the Black Mage!

In addition, every time one of the three goddess statues is completely filled with Determination, a 2x EXP event will activate for 24 hours in all Reboot and non-Reboot worlds! This event will start up to 1 hour after the goddess statue is completed. Go out and gather Determination to help the Maple Alliance!

Here's a taste of what's available this week as part of the Maple Alliance events:

Step Into the Labyrinth of Suffering

Players who are Lv. 200 or higher and have completed the 5th Job advancement can enter the second region of Tenebris: Labyrinth of Suffering. Once you step into the Labyrinth, you'll be separated from your party members and forced to find each other in the Labyrinth's ever-shifting hallways! You'll also be given 3 Spirit Stones upon entering the Labyrinth; you'll lose one Spirit Stone each time you die, and if you lose all 3, you'll be banished from the Labyrinth!



While inside the Labyrinth, you can help the Maple Alliance by joining the Expedition Mission: Labyrinth of Suffering. Each day you'll be given a selection of 3 different missions, which you can complete for 10,000 Determination each! Missions including hunting down monsters like golems, the Blackheart Negative, and beings from the Dimensional Crack!



Complete all three of these each day and you'll also receive the following:

• 6,000,000 Mesos
  
• Nodestone (x2) (Untradeable)
  
• Rare Treasure Chest. Each account has a daily limit of opening 30 chests per day. Contains one of the following:
  • Soul Shard: Untradeable.
    
  • Clean Slate Scroll 10%
    
  • Innocence Scroll 50%
    
  • Chaos Scroll 60%
    
  • Bonus Potential Scroll 50%
    
  • Master Craftsman's Cube: Tradeable within account.

In order to complete the Labyrinth, you must find the Labyrinth Core deep within the maze. You will find an altar there, which you can light with candles by using up your party's remaining Spirit Stones. Only then will you be able to destroy the Labyrinth Core.



Once the Labyrinth has been cleared, you'll find Verus Hilla lying in wait at the end!



You can fight Hilla once per day, and defeat her once per week. She'll use her deadly scythe to cut your party down as well as summoning the dead souls of Necro Orchid and Necro Lotus to fight alongside her. But if you can prevail, you'll earn the following reward!

• [Medal] One with the Labyrinth: Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +5, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +5, MaxHP/MaxMP +1,000. Untradeable.

Flame Bird Support

This mission will start alongside the Labyrinth of Suffering Expedition, and will last until the Alliance has made it past the Labyrinth of Suffering.

Summon a fiery foe to help you earn Determination in the Flame Bird Support event! The quest can be started by accepting it through the Alliance notifier on the left-side of the screen, or by speaking to NPC Athena Pierce at the Maple Alliance Outpost. You have to accept the quest "[Alliance Mission] Defense Mission - Flame Bird Support" to learn the skill "Summon the Flame Bird." Then, while out hunting monsters near your level (20 levels above or below), you'll see the option to summon the Flame Bird to help you defeat enemies!



Any monsters that you defeat will drop Flame Bird's Determination, which will grant you 30 Determination and increase the Flame Bird's power! As the Flame Bird increases levels, you'll eventually be able to mount it and ride around the map hunting monsters, so power up your winged buddy and get hunting!



Once the daily limit for Determination (50,000) has been reached, Flame Bird can no longer be summoned that day. The daily recap resets every day at midnight (12:00 AM UTC).

Twilight Defense

This mission will start alongside the Labyrinth of Suffering Expedition, and will last until the Alliance has made it past the Labyrinth of Suffering.

Protect the castle walls with your fellow Maple Alliance soldiers in Twilight Defense! The quest can be started by accepting it through the Alliance notifier on the left-side of the screen, or by speaking to NPC Athena Pierce at the Maple Alliance Outpost. You have to accept the quest "[Alliance Mission] Defense Mission - Twilight Defense" to join the event. You can have a party of 2-4 players in this event.

In Twilight Defense, you'll join forces with other players to defeat waves of monsters with cannonballs. As you defeat monsters, you'll earn points and increase your cannon's rank so that it deals more damage to your foes. Once you defeat the final boss, Giant Omen, you'll be rewarded with Determination based on how many points you scored, so prepare your arsenal and hold back the enemy forces!



Once the daily limit for Determination (50,000) has been reached, you will no longer gain Determination this event; only siege defense points. The maximum number of siege defense points that can be earned in one day is 10,000. The daily recap resets every day at midnight (12:00 AM UTC).

Log in on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 3:00 PM PST (6:00 PM EST / 12:00 AM CET December 16 / 10:00 AM AEDT December 16) and accept the event quest. Hunt 300 monsters within your level range (20 levels below and 20 levels above) to receive your items. You only have 1 hour to accept and complete the quests to get your gifts! We recommend that you log in well before the Hot Time begins to make sure you don’t miss it.

This event is available to players Lv. 60 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). You can receive one set of gifts per account.


All players who accept and complete the Hot Time quest will receive the following rewards:
