Following on the heels of patch 86 in October comes patch 87 with some extra class balancing. We plan to release the update on the servers in mid-November. Please note that some names are subject to change and may differ in the final release.

While patch 87 is live, you can look forward to new and extreme event dungeons: Wonderholme and The Abscess return in both normal and extreme difficulties! More details will be released as usual in a separate announcement.


New Event: Ore Collector

Collect Glittering Ores in dungeons above item level 412 and take them to the ore collector Minerung in the capital, earning yourself consumable rewards, or even the exclusive cards Ruby Moon Elin and Agate Moon Elin!

Patch 86 arrives on our servers on 15th October! In the hotly anticipated Exodor update, you can discover new zones, make a name for yourself with unknown factions, and much more. We already gave you an overview last week in our preview– and today you can read up on all the details in the patch notes.

You’ll be able to explore the new continent floating high above the clouds immediately.

Entry Conditions

· Accessible to characters level 68 or higher

· The quest “Off to Exodor” (level 68) will take you to the island. It is available with patch 86

o You must previously have completed the quest “The Secret Weapon” (level 67)

It isn’t absolutely necessary to enter the island with complete Stormcry Gear. However, this is highly advisable in order to survive the challenges there.

Zones

The following four large areas are new:

· Rogash’s Manor

· Exodor Plantation

· Viridian Mire

· Berak Fortress

In addition, there are various other small islands floating around Exodor.

Traveling on Exodor

To travel on Exodor you can use the new Teleport Scrolls. The following features are also worth knowing about:

· Teleport Books from the TERA Club

o TERA Club members cannot teleport to the island with the Village Atlas

o TERA Club members can place some teleport points on the island using the Travel Journal

· Azart Miracle Potion

o With the Azart Miracle Potion, you can use special platforms to reach the smaller islands from the four main islands. You’re free to use as many platforms as you like during its 10-minute effect duration.

o The Miracle Potion can be obtained through quests and from reputation shops

o TERA Club members will receive 2 bottles of Azart Miracle Potion in their Club Supplies.




Story Quests

Once you have completed the “Off to Exodor” quest and reached the island, you will be taken on an adventure in a new series of story quests. Accompany Elleon and Jelena through the story of the Darkcore and the peoples of Exodor!

Zone Quests

The island also offers a number of zone quests that’ll reward you with additional consumables and card fragments.

Daily Quests

In the course of the story quests, you will encounter new factions for which you’ll be able to complete new daily quests. You’ll be able to exchange the reputation you earn with the Riveran and Justicar Reputation Merchants for a range of goods – including new enchanting materials!

Good to know: TERA Club members receive double the amount of reputation for each quest they complete.

New Stats

The new gear has a brand-new set of stats to strengthen your character:

· Physical Support

o Adds a set amount of physical damage to your damage

· Magical Support

o Adds a set amount of magical damage to your damage

· Physical Resistance

o Reduces the physical damage you receive

· Magical Resistance

o Reduces the magical damage you receive

· Physical Critical Damage

o Increases the damage of your physical critical hits

· Magical Critical Damage

o Increases the damage of your magical critical hits

Class skills are now affected by the new physical or magical stats. You can find which stats have the greatest influence in the description of the skill.

The healing abilities of priests and mystics are also affected by magical support and magical critical damage.

New Gear

On Exodor, you can collect new gear for characters level 68 or higher that’ll grant you the new stats.

Rarity & Type

The new pieces of equipment (weapon, chest armor, gloves, shoes) come in both magical and physical versions. There are three different sets:



The items found in the world are tradeable, so you can simply trade or sell the gear you find if it doesn’t suit your character.


Possible Stats

Each piece of gear can grant several random stats, depending on their type and rarity. These stats can also vary in strength. The following random attributes are possible:



Furthermore, you can continue to add etchings to your items and add additional stats via equipment merging.

You do not need to collect any item XP for the new gear. However, crystals and dual effects can no longer be used for them.



Additional Information from the Development Team

The new equipment sets are intended as alternatives to existing gear, not as direct replacements. These items are not necessarily stronger than current sets, but they should offer you greater variety with new stats and reduced complexity.

Here is a comparison of the existing and new gear when they have been enchanted:



Additionally, there are plans for creating mythical gear in the future by combining Heroic Oath gear and the new legendary gear. The crafting (or upgrading) of Heroic Oath gear and the collection of the new legendary gear is therefore time well spent!




The new gear is enchanted in a new way to old gear: instead of requiring lots of different materials, you only need two different material types. Additionally, the gear can be damaged similarly to the current PvP sets, but it can never be destroyed.



The same system applies for armor, gloves, and shoes. However, instead of the weapon feedstock, these armor parts require the corresponding armor feedstock.


With the new gear, there is no additional chance of success following failed attempts. The chance is also not shown in the game.

Repair

You will not lose your gear via enchantment. If an item is damaged, do not worry: you can continue to use it in battle without any disadvantages.

A damaged item just cannot be enchanted anymore – you have to repair it first. This can also be done in the Enchantment window. This requires the following items:



The repair is guaranteed to be successful, so you don’t have to worry about failures.

Extraction

You can get a variety of items via the extraction of equipment items, such as repair items for damaged gear:

· Dranium Repair Piece

· Dranium Processing Stone

· Pure Dranium Processing Stone

· Equipment Dust (to sell for gold)

Extracting also allows you to get back some of the items you invested when enchanting an item.



Card Album

Starting with patch 86, you can collect card fragments from many game contents, which you can then add to your album (in instances as group loot). The card album is for all of your characters on a server.

Once you have collected enough card fragments of one type, you can complete the corresponding entry in your album and activate the card from then on.

Depending on their type and rarity, cards can have various different effects. You can activate and deactivate them at your discretion, and the more complete entries you have, the more cards you can activate simultaneously.

Combine cards in predefined sets to take advantage of additional bonuses!

Fishing
Around the Darkcore on the floating island, there are lots of fishponds where you can catch new fish from patch 86 onwards! The well-known fishponds are marked on the map, while the hidden areas can only be discovered by resourceful anglers:



Fish Bait

The strange fish on Exodor cannot be caught with regular bait. For your fishing trip to be successful, you’ll need a special bait, available from the Exodor Justicar Reputation Merchant.

Crafting

With the fish from Exodor, you can discover new recipes and create tasty new meals to boost your HP, attack speed, and magical or physical support:

· Steamed Invigorating Kirashi

· Steamed Stimulating Kirashi

· [Special] Steamed Invigorating Kirashi

· [Special] Steamed Stimulating Kirashi

Additionally, with the fish from Exodor, you can create new crates for delivery.




Fancy a special weapon? It’s possible to craft a legendary golden glowing weapon skin by completing the Red Refuge multiple times.

The recipe and materials you need for this can be obtained from the final boss in the Red Refuge. Some of the materials can also be purchased from the wandering merchants.




Please note: The two new world bosses and the Guardian Mission with the Gossamer Regent, which were introduced to the Korean version of the game in patch 86, are currently deactivated in our version of the game due to problems when there are too many active players.

This content will be activated again as soon as possible, once the issues have been fixed in a future patch. The following information only refers to the three existing world bosses.

Distribution of Loot

The loot from world bosses is no longer only given to the player who lands the last hit. As of this patch, other players will also receive additional rewards:

· Reward for participating

o For groups with a very high level of participation in the battle (the damage of the entire group is taken into account)

· Jackpot reward

o For a randomly selected participating player

Patch 86 brings the biggest update of the year to our servers: from Tuesday, 15th October, you’ll be able to explore the floating island of Exodor with its four large areas and many smaller islands!
Expect to find mighty opponents, new gear, and untouched fishponds. The new trading card system is also launching, with which you can earn additional stat boosts. Please note that some of the names in this preview may differ in the final version.

Exodor, the Floating Island

Probably the most eagerly awaited new feature is the floating island of Exodor – after all, there are 4 large zones and various small islands just waiting to be explored here.





To reach Exodor, you’ll have to fulfill the following requirements:

• Your character must be at least level 68
• You need to have completed the quest series “The Secret Weapon” in order to start the “Off to Exodor” quest
• It’s best to be equipped with Stormcry gear to stand up to the monsters on the island

If you fulfill these criteria, you will be flown to the island in the course of the “Off to Exodor” quest. The new main quest series will take you through the areas of Exodor with spectacular cutscenes – but we won’t give away too much just yet to keep up the suspense!

New Gear

What would a major update be without new gear?! You can look forward to three whole sets, each with physical and magical versions. The individual pieces of gear may be furnished with different random values.
Until you equip the gear, all items are tradeable. So, if you receive something that isn’t ideally suited to you class, you can simply sell it through the broker or dismantle it.



The new gear is enchanted in a new way to old gear: instead of requiring lots of different materials, you only need two different types of material. Additionally, the gear can be damaged similarly to the current PvP sets, but it can never be destroyed. Damaged items remain fully functional, they just can’t be enchanted. However, once you have repaired the gear, you’ll be able to continue with the enchantment.

The new equipment sets are intended as alternatives to existing gear, not as direct replacements. These items are not necessarily stronger than current sets, but they should offer you more variety with new stats and reduced complexity (details of the new stats can be found in the patch notes).
If you already own Heroic Oath gear, for example, only the best of the new gear will be clearly stronger.
Also worth knowing: the developers are currently working on new mythical gear that you can combine from Heroic Oath gear and the new gear from patch 86.

Berak Fortress Secret Zone

A new dungeon for characters over level 69 awaits you on Exodor with the Berak Fortress Secret Zone. Entry costs 385 adventure coins and it is designed for equipment level 458.



A series of quests will lead you to the entrance to the instance. However, you will only receive the quest to enter the dungeon once you’ve completed the story quest. The two new boss monsters Akalath Traban and Akalath Kasir lie in wait for you inside.




More Reputation Factions and Fishponds

During your adventures in Exodor, you’ll come into contact with two new factions for whom you’ll be able to collect reputation in daily quests.
You’ll be able to exchange this reputation with the Riveran and Justicar Reputation Merchants for the new enchanting materials, energy to fly on the island, new fish bait, and more!



Some of the islands are home to fishponds where you can go fishing. Only new bait can be used at these ponds. The fish caught on Exodor can be used to make powerful, new buff foods.



Trading Cards

Starting with patch 86, you’ll be able to obtain trading cards as a reward from various opponents, quests, and other content. Add them to your album and you’ll be able to complete the entries over time. A complete entry boosts your stats, when equipped.
The more cards you collect, the more complete entries you can equip to benefit from their stats.

There are five different card types: NPCs, monsters, zones, crafting materials, and fish. To start with, you can only equip one card of each type. Additionally, certain card combinations give you set bonuses.

Lein’s freshly brewed Dark Root Beer is a favorite throughout Arborea. It’s an indulgence especially during the Dark Root Beer Festival! But some frogs and brass stewards have clearly had one too many – and instead of celebrating merrily, they’re marauding and bothering the other festival-goers with their frog drums.



This is where you heroes come in: stop the troublemakers that are running amok throughout Arborea! You might even get some treasures for your help, as Lein isn’t especially fond of customers not paying their checks. Thanks to their excessive consumption of Dark Root Beer, the monsters fall down after just one strike, dropping your rewards at the same time. Of course, you might get Lein’s Dark Root Beer, but there’s also Watermelon Juice, Skill Advancement Scrolls and Tomes, as well as extravagant accessories and much more to be looted.

In which area/channel can I find the enemies?

The enemies are summoned throughout Arborea. If one is killed, it will reappear at a different location.

I’ve found a target. What now?

It’s time for knuckle supper! It doesn’t matter whether you’re level 11 or 65. A single blow is enough to defeat the enemies automatically.

Will there be rewards?

For each defeated enemy, you’ll receive one of a variety of different items. Possible rewards include Lein’s Dark Root Beer, Skill Advancement Scrolls I to III, Skill Advancement XP Tomes III and IV, and much more!

Additionally, you can also loot Promises of the Damned, which can be exchanged among other things for the following rewards:
