With the launch of patch 85 you can look forward to new content and many improvements to the game’s interface. In this preview you can find out which of TERA’s features are being improved.

More Inventory Slots

With patch 85 you can unlock an expansion for your inventory via a quest with an achievement. You can unlock up to 3 pages each with a maximum of 80 slots (10 rows).

You can unlock the new slots via a new button and expand them with items from the Tikat Shop.




Additionally, you can set the bag to automatically collect gathered and crafted items or items relating to “Fishing and Cooking”.

This means that if you set “Crafting and Gathering”, ores, plants, and similar items will be instantly stored here without you having to move them manually!

Inventory Sorting

The automatic sorting of your inventory and the bag has been reworked so that you can now decide the order in which your items are sorted.



Message for Broker Sales

If you sell one or more items through the broker, this is now shown in the character selection menu for all affected characters.



Instance Group Matching

The instances where you search for a group are now saved as a selection so you no longer have to select the dungeons each time you start a new search.



Examine Players

The option to examine other players has been added to various windows. This makes it easy to invite fellow players in the chat and group matching (Y) or to add them to your friends list.



Buy Maximum Quantity

The dialog when purchasing items from merchants has been reworked so that the “maximum” of buyable items now depends on your means (e.g. Gold).



Traveling Books

If you use a Village Atlas or Travel Journal, you can now switch between “Show teleport points” and “Show quest” on the world map view. So you no longer have to open the world map separately if you want to quickly check the location of the next step in your quest.



Collect Parcel Post

This patch allows you to collect the items from all of your messages at the same time and delete the messages simultaneously.



Transparent Damage Numbers

You can now adjust the transparency value of your damage numbers in the game options:



Highlight upon Group Matching

If you are playing TERA in window mode, the TERA icon in the Taskbar will be highlighted in future once you have found a group. This way you are always informed when you can get started.



Time Stamp on Chat Messages
The game options (Options > UI settings > Time stamp) now allow you to see when an in-game chat message was sent.

300% more experience, 50% more loot and skill advancement, PvP Elin Quests – our combined event offers more of almost everything! On certain nights you can receive a whopping 300% more experience points in group dungeons, collect additional skill advancement XP and scoop up extra rewards on the battlegrounds.

Increased XP in Dungeons
Use the additional XP rewards to become even stronger! During the event you’ll receive 300% more experience points in all group dungeons.

PvP Elin Quests
You can pick up 2 quests by clicking the Elin button. These can be completed once during each phase of the event (each 3 days long). Take part in the Shore Hold battleground 10 times or Corsairs’ Stronghold 5 times.
For each quest you will be rewarded

• 20x 5,000 Bellicarium Credits

and additionally collect one of the following rewards:

• 20x Veteran’s Fragment Box
  
• 20x Veteran’s Plate Box

Skill Advancement XP and Loot Bonuses

Time to improve your skills: during the event you’ll earn 50% more skill advancement XP from monsters and associated items.
Additionally, all monsters in the open world will be dropping 50% more loot.

Important: Please note that there is currently a limit in the amount of EXP you can receive while having several EXP buffs activated. In case you reach more than 2.1 billion on a single enemy, the amount of EXP gained will be 0. This is a known issue that is already reported and will be fixed in the future.

It is our aim to always bring you the best possible gaming experience. We know that it is very important for you to be able to find other players for group content quickly and easily at all times. We are therefore delighted to announce that we will be merging 2 servers end of this month!

In the future, this will mean you will have lots of new players to form guilds with, trade with, face challenges together, or compete against!

As part of the server merge, we will let you choose via a forum poll, which will be shared with you on the upcoming days, the future name of the merged server between 3 different possibilities!

The following server merges are planned:

• 1 PvE server (EN): KILLIAN will be added to MYSTEL
• 1 PvE server (DE): YURIAN will remain
• 1 PvE server (FR): SEREN will remain

You will find everything you need to know about the merge soon in our separate FAQ. We really hope the merge will help you enjoy the game even more! As always, if you have any questions, suggestions, or Feedback, you are more than welcome to leave them in the forum.

Arborea’s monsters are packed to the gills!

Between Saturday, 10th August at 00:00 and Sunday, 11th August at 23:59, you can make a serious killing in TERA’s dungeons!

During the event, the drop rate in the following regions will be increased as follows:

All Dungeons:

• +100% loot

Please note that only regular loot will be increased. Regional changes are unaffected by the event.

Make space in your inventory, rally your allies and bring home the bacon!

It’s time to give PvP some new impetus! Join the battle, earn additional rewards and improve your gear!

During the event week you can complete PvP challenges via the Elin button and earn yourself extra loot. Enchant your PvP gear at the right time, and benefit from up to 50% improved chances of success.

And not only PvP fans will look forward to the 20% more skill advancement XP from monsters and associated items.


Elin Quests:

Take on the hidden dangers lurking in the Demokron Factory and the Manglemire! With the launch of patch 83 on 23rd July, we’re not only re-releasing these two dungeons, but also swapping out the event dungeon – the Forsaken Island is making way for Darkan and the Sky Cruiser Endeavor! Please note that some names used below are subject to change and may differ from those in the game.

Summer’s here in full force and Arborea’s baking under the sun’s rays. Heroes and civilians alike are seeking respite from the heat, and what better way than to chill out and cool down than by joining the games down at the beach during the Festival of the Sun. While this is going on, the vampirs of the night will be trying to weaken the sun’s power with their mysterious rituals. Stop the bloodsuckers from ruining the summer!

Enjoy our three traditional summer events! Taking part will earn you tokens which can be exchanged for new costume items.

Event Overview

Festival of the Sun

• Head to the Tree of Wisdom in Veritas and talk to Renmi.
• Complete various tasks in honor of Balder, God of the Sun. Help Modan to stoke the fires, obtain ice, create sarberry ice with Lilan, and be a bane to the irritating sloths in the filthy temple.

Carnival of Blood

• Talk to Harun in Veritas and enter the teleportal to reach the Carnival of Blood.
• Kill the vampirs with your newly acquired skills: teach them the meaning of fear, transform them into warthogs or immolate them!

Beach Party

• Talk to Elesa on Boan Strand near Castanica.
• Be the life and soul of the party and take part in the minigames. Build sandcastles or hunt for watermelons – there’s a barrel of fun for everyone!

Guardians of Arborea, lend me your ears! From Wednesday, July 17th at 10:00 until Tuesday, July 23rd at 10:00, you’ll earn additional rewards for completing missions for the Guardian Legion.


Bonus Reward:

• 30 Equipment EXP
• 200 Guardian Legion Reputation Points
• 5 Vanguard Initiative Reputation Points
• 5 Elleon's Mark of Valour
• 500 Metamorphic Emblems

Details:

• You can receive the bonus rewards up to 40 times per day.
• The rewards come in addition to existing rewards.

Patch 83 will go live on the servers, enabling the upgrading of your jewelry, opens access to the Sky Cruiser Endeavor and brings some familiar dungeons back to Arborea. There’s also some freshly reworked quest series in the level 10 to 60 range.

Returning Dungeons



Verno and Manglemore are already waiting for you in their dungeons!

Demokron Factory opens to levels 66 (Normal) and 67 (Hard) and grants your 7-player raid group more insights into Dakuryon’s crazy experiments. You will also be able to loot new materials for upgrading your Circlets and Necklaces.

Meanwhile mendacious Manglemore waits for you on Manglemire and is sowing the seeds of confusion with his fine fibbery. If you defeat him, you’ll earn tokens that you can exchange for your rewards.



Event Dungeon Swap

Patch 83 has the Forsaken Island sinking back into the fog as it gets replaced by the Sky Cruiser Endeavor as event dungeon. You will have until the next patch to board Darkan’s flying battleship.

Fulminar will continue to welcome you to the spectacular underwater battle that takes place in Bathysmal Rise after the patch.

New Materials

Much like the rings and earrings in patch 82, from patch 83 you’ll be able to also upgrade your Ethereal necklaces and circlets. For this you will need purified ring fragments or Carved Adornments of a Holy Beast. You can find these new materials in Demokron Factory (Hard) or on Sky Cruiser Endeavor.

Quest Improvements

A host of quests on the path to level 60+ have been improved extensively: they can now often be completed in the optional 1 player instances. Additionally, monsters, boss monsters and loot have been better coordinated so that a more comfortable and fluid leveling process can now take place.
