Join Delaney and Neal in the rest of their story after the end of their long journey, and learn the ways of Fate Astrology. Master of many life skills, this type of Astrologer can view fates, catch stars, craft materials, and more!

Astrology Scenario Quests Part 2

Those seeking to craft the stars themselves can begin their journey once they have completed the Astrologer Part 1 Scenario Quests, up to [Astrologer] The Workings of the Stellar Citadel. Begin viewing the possibilities of a Fate Astrologer with Delaney in the Stellar Citadel.

• New Milletians who choose Fate Astrology for their first talent after rebirthing will be granted ‘the Aspiring Fate Astrologer’ 1st title.
  • Title Effects:
    • Magic Attack +15
    • MP +20
    • HP +20
  • The title is available to you until you reach Level 10,000.

Upon visiting Delaney in the Star Citadel, you'll continue the questline with the following quests, rewards, and learned skills:

• [Fate Astrology] Wand of Lesser Willpower
  • Complete the quest to unlock the Constellation Casting skill, 5,000 Gold, 50,000 EXP, a Constellation Rod and 100x Constellation Bait.
• [Fate Astrology] Pentacle of Good Fortune
  • Complete the quest to unlock the Stellar Handicraft skill, 5,000 Gold, 50,000 EXP, and the materials to craft Constellation Bait.
• [Fate Astrology] Cup of Overflowing Emotion
  • Complete the quest to unlock the Astral Imaging skill and Astral Imprinting skill, 5,000 Gold, 50,000 EXP, and 20x Astral Sticker Kits.
• [Fate Astrology] Sword of Fate’s Resolve
  • Complete the quest to unlock the Cartomancy skill, 5,000 Gold, 50,000 EXP, and 10x Conjuration Crystals.
  • Neal and Delaney have been added to the list of NPCs that can be invited through the Spirit Campfire Invitation.
    • Neal: 5x Rigel Crystal
    • Delaney: 1x Neal’s Corn Soup

• AP Training cannot be used for skills of this talent.
• When using a skill, a certain amount of mana and stamina will be consumed.

• When the time in Erinn is between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, the reflections of the stars are the brightest, and Constellation Casting will be available for use.
• This is a skill that allows you to obtain Star Reflection fragments, materials used for Stellar Handicraft.
  • Procyon/Polaris/Arcturus/Hadar/Rigel/Canopus/Altair Fragments
  • Procyon/Polaris/Arcturus/Hadar/Rigel/Canopus/Altair Crystals
• The skill can be used at existing fishing spots.
• A Constellation Rod and Constellation Bait Box is required to begin casting for the stars' reflection!
  • The Constellation Rod cannot be reforged or upgraded.
• When fishing manually, you can play a minigame to find constellations. The number of stars you find will be scored, and you can earn Star Reflection fragments depending on the score.
  • After a certain amount of time has passed in the mini-game, stars that are not the correct answer will gradually disappear.
  • If you succeed in matching the stars during the mini-game, a buff effect for the next Constellation Cast will activate an increased biting speed +10.
• Auto fishing is possible for those that wish to just enjoy the tranquility under the stars.
• Constellation Casting is not affected by existing Fishing skill related effects.

• You can create various items used by Astrologers by harnessing the power of Star Reflections paired with the Fatespinner, located in the Stellar Citadel.
• You can touch the Fatespinner, or use the skill nearby to open the crafting menu.
• 38 new recipes have been added for Stellar Handicraft, including the following items:

• Entries have been added for Stellar Handicraft in the Crafting Diary.
• Astrologer Tarot Cards now have Grades from Grade 0 to Grade 30 and can be crafted through Stellar Handicraft.
  • The higher the grade, the better the buff effect from the Tarot Card drawn in Fate Foretold.
  • You can create a Card Pack with Stellar Handicraft.
  • Starter Cards are the lowest grade, with Rare being of the highest grade.
  • When opening a card pack, if a card of the same or lower grade appears, you will obtain an amount of Pollux instead, used to craft new Card Packs.

• Astral Imaging is a skill that can take an image of a Subject, capturing a moment in time.
• No resources are consumed when using this skill.
• Capture a subject’s moment by clicking on them. You can capture Milletians (including yourself), NPCs, and monsters.
  
  • Transformations, Spirit Weapon Awakenings, and Marionettes cannot be captured.
  • Subjects eligible for Astral Imaging will have an HP gauge displayed above their head when hovering the subject. You cannot capture the subject if it does not have an HP gauge displayed.
• You can save up to 10 images at one time which will be present in the Astral Imprinting skill menu.

• Astral Imprinting is a skill that allows you to decorate your own Tarot Cards using the Subjects captured via Astral Imaging, and various elements including stickers and border designs for your cards.
• When designing a card via Astral Imprinting, you can add decorations up to 100 points, a cost accumulated when adding elements to the card.
  
  • Each decoration element applies the following cost.
    
    • Subjects: 8
    • Borders: 2
    • Sticker Shop: 1
    • Extracted Stickers: 2
• Stickers in the Sticker Shop within the Stickers tab can be selected unlimitedly, each costing 1,000 Gold to place into the design.
  • The cost of the selected stickers will be shown before completing a card.
• You can create your own stickers by using an Astral Sticker Kit to create stickers using the item icons of items in your inventory.
  • Astral Sticker Kits can be crafted with Stellar Handicraft.
  • When using the kit, you will be able to select which item you would like to create an Astral Sticker Pack for.
    • The kit will be consumed on use. The target item will not be lost.
    • Using the Astral Sticker Pack will add the sticker to your Extracted Stickers within the Stickers tab.
    • Astral Sticker Packs can be traded with others, but cannot be sold on the Auction House.
    • You may also use Astral Sticker Kits by clicking Extract Stickers from the Extracted Stickers menu. When done this way, the Extracted Sticker will be available for immediate use without creating a sticker pack.
    • Using an Astral Sticker Kit on a weapon that has had a Weapon Appearance Scroll applied to it will create a sticker of the transformed weapon.
  • Each extracted sticker may only be used once and will disappear from the Stickers tab after being finalized on a card.
• Decorative borders are unlocked based on the grade of the Tarot Cards you have acquired, and are unlocked permanently.
• A variety of card backgrounds are available.
• You can save the completed decorated cards in Blank Astral Cards, crafted via Stellar Handicraft, and these completed cards can be traded with others.
• The Astral Frame Homestead prop has been added which can display completed card designs. Astral Frames can be installed on Homesteads and Moonlight Islands using the Astral Frame Homestead item, or 75 Pon through the Construction List.
  • Looking for additional Constellation themed Homestead items? The following Constellations have also been added:
    • Monocerus Constellation (100 Pon)
    • Vulpecula Constellation (75 Pon)
    • Aries Constellation (75 Pon)
    • Cetus Constellation (75 Pon)
• Completed card designs can be applied as the appearance of a Tarot Card.

• Cartomancy allows one to consult the cards to receive the guidance of fate, allowing you to either accept it for yourself or share your fate with other Milletians to gain access to the drawn card’s chosen destiny.
  • The guidance of fate will last up to 36 minutes at rank 1.
    • The destiny cannot be overwritten while it is still in effect.
  • Accepting or Sharing will require Conjuration Crystals, an item made using Stellar Handicraft.
  • Each of the 22 tarot cards will have a different effect, shown in the chart below.
• By Accepting Fate, you will immediately receive the guidance of fate of the drawn card.
  • This will consume 1x Conjuration Crystal, and place the ability on a 36 minute cooldown.
  • The fortune of the reader will be revealed.
• By Sharing Fate, you grant the guidance of fate to yourself and the allies you have shared the drawn card with.
  • You will be prompted to select how many Milletians to share with, up to 7 at rank 1.
  • The drawn card will be held face down above your head, allowing Milletians to receive the fate alongside you. This will last up to 5 minutes at rank 1.
  • Once all of the shared fates have been foretold, or the reader ends sharing, the drawn card will be received and all players will receive the guidance.
  • This will consume 1x Conjuration Crystal for yourself plus an additional 1x Conjuration Crystal per share (up to 8 Crystals to share with 7 Milletians), and place the ability on a 36 minute cooldown.
• One may also choose to simply Read Fortune.
  • This will not consume any Conjuration Crystals, but will still place the ability on a 36 minute cooldown. The guidance of fate will not be granted.
  • The fortune of the reader will be revealed. A daily single card reading can give direction to the unknown, or explore possibilities of the future.
• Oracle’s Tools and Oracle’s Pavilion have been added to allow you to provide readings for others.
  • By using one of these items, the reader will sit, allowing others to take the seat across from them to have their fortunes read.
  • A three-card spread tells of the Past, Present, and Future of a subject.
  • The upright and reversed cards will hold the answers, but we give them meaning.
    
    • (Cards drawn in this way will not place the ability on cooldown, and will have no gameplay effect.)

In this past year, we celebrated our 16th Anniversary of Mabinogi and the release of many wonderful updates that added to all of your Fantasy Life experiences! Whether it be Mini-Games, Renovation Season 5, Generation 26, Moonlight Island, Glenn Bearna: Primeval Winter mode, and the Battle Astrologer talent, we were happy to see your enjoyment for each and every one of these updates. Bug Fixes:

• Fixed an issue causing reordered skills cast from the All Skills list to use incorrect skills.
• The "Lucent Neon" items have been readded to the Dressing Room and Auction House. Dressing Room Slots previously filled should remain filled.
• Fixed a bug where specific players were unable to open the Renewed Welcome Milletian Attendance Check Package. Affected players should now be able to open the box without issue.

Known Issues:

• The favorites and item registration for Synthesis is currently not working as expected.
• An issue is causing Dressing Room Motions to not properly play upon changing channels or logging in.
  • This can be temporarily fixed by re-equipping the Body piece in your Style Tab or resetting the motion in your Dressing Room.

Alongside prizes, your pride is on the line in this team-based control point style game. Take a break from the Masterplan and Astrologer training to enjoy a few rounds... and maybe make a few friends, enemies, and even frenemies.

Event Dates: Thursday, December 19th, After Maintenance - Thursday, January 9th, Before Maintenance

• During the entire event period, log in to receive the quest [Event] Snowball Fight Event.
• Talk to Holiday Joe near the Unicorn Statue in Dunbarton to learn more about the event and how to participate.
  • Completing the will earn you the following rewards:
    • 5,000 EXP.
• You will also receive a daily quest [Event] I Wish I Was a Snowballer.
  • Complete 5 rounds of the Snowball Event (win or lose) to receive the following rewards:
    • AP 5 Potion
    • **NEW** Holiday Joe Gift of Gratitude
• Talk to Holiday Joe to solo queue for the event; make sure to stay outdoors in Dunbarton to keep your place in queue.
  • After 16 players have registered, the event will start automatically.
• Once inside, you'll be divided into two teams of 8 for either Red or Blue Team.
  • If you have anything in your Fashion Tab, you'll wear what you currently have on. Otherwise, Holiday Joe will provide you with a snazzy robe suited for the occasion.
• The goal is to destroy the enemy team's snowman before they destroy yours.
• Defeating an enemy will earn you gold, which in-turn, spend on items to help turn the tide of battle.
• There are 2 control nodes located on the map to allow you to spawn closer to the action, as long as you control the node.
• Once a snowman has been destroyed, the match ends. Be sure to talk to Holiday Joe after to receive your prize!
  • Members on the winning side will receive a Holiday Joe Gift of Gratitude.
  • Members on the losing side will receive a Holiday Joe Gift Piece.
    • Collect 5 pieces to receive a Holiday Joe Gift of Gratitude.
  • To save Milletians from frostbite, if neither team is able to destroy their opponent's snowman after 20 minutes, the team that has dealt the most damage to their opponent's snowman will be declared the winner.

Be sure to take a break from your Master Plan and Astrology training and enjoy some the prizes you can earn this go around. We've increased the prizes this time so no need to hold back... after all, trading wins is boring!

• The number of spirits you can contract has been increased by 2, allowing you to contract up to 8 types of Spirit Weapons.
  • Eiry the Ancient Spirit is not included in the maximum contractable quantity.
• You are now able to search and sort your Point Inventory!
  • You can select your point inventory to display your items in either alphabetical order or by date when you received the item.

• The maximum number of additional equipment slots that can be expanded with Extra Equipment Slot Expansion Coupon will be increased from 12 -> 16.
  • Hotkeys for the additional Extra Equipment Slots have also been added under the Hotkey Settings menu.

• The Pet/Partner limit has been increased from 300 to 400.

• A "Related Quest" description has been added to item tooltips.
  • These will display items that are relevant to Generational Storylines, Arcana Questline, etc.
  • Quest Names are shaded depending on whether the quest has been completed, is in progress, or already completed.

• We improved the character appearance preset provided when first creating a character.
  • When creating a new character, the color of the premium newbie wear and shoes worn will be fixed.
  • The color of this costume can be changed later through dyeing.

• Several previously coupon-only styles will be changed to premium appearances.
  • These changed appearances can be selected for free when creating a new character.
    • However, character cards that only allow selection of basic appearances cannot have that appearance selected.
  • You can change to these options using 5 Pon through Rebirth or in the Dressing Room.
  • Appearances can still be changed using an existing Beauty Coupon for the changed appearance.

• We unleashed the shackles from our Localization team and asked them to rewrite the older descriptions for Paper and Paper Cranes.
  • We think the new descriptions show our modern approach to Localization. How do you feel about them?
• You can now collect Flint near Pera Volcano through the use of Rain Casting.
• The following balance adjustments have been implemented:
  
  • Smokescreen
    • The duration of the effect has been increased; for Rank 1, increased from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
    • When using Smokescreen on an enemy that is already under the effect, the condition timer will refresh.
  • Fateweaver
    • The duration of the effect has been increased; for Level 10, increased from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
  • Death Mark
    • The duration of the effect has been increased; for Rank 1 to Dan 3, increased from 15 seconds to 40 seconds.
• The probability of a rank increase for Precise Reforging Tools, Exquisite Reforging Tools, and Dazzling Reforging Tools has been increased.

This Astrologer update also brings the addition of the Scythe weapon, which is expected to increase demand for Reforging Tools. Accordingly, in order to alleviate some of the burden of using Reforging Tools, the rank upgrade probability of paid Reforging Tools has been increased. In order to narrow the gap between paid and free reforges, Precise Reforging Tools have been adjusted to have the same probability of being used for rank upgrades as the upgraded Exquisite Reforging Tools.

• Several typo fixes this month across swaths of the game. From further unifying Rudolf to Rudolph on a few items, fixes to assorted quest texts, or more- we will always search high and low to improve the script quality for Mabinogi. Thank you, as always, for your reports!
• The suite of Mysterious [Color] Bags have been renamed slightly in the following format:
  • Mysterious Horizontal Green Bag (10x17) -> Mysterious Green Bag (10x17) - Horizontal
• After an unfortunate mix-up, Edern and Gleywas have demanded that the versatile Kraken Sucker be labeled appropriately. The following items have been renamed:
  • The Kraken Sucker for Blacksmithing purposes will be named Fierce Kraken Sucker.
  • The Kraken Sucker for Cooking purposes will be named Fresh Kraken Sucker.
• The following since-removed event items have had their slots removed from the Chair section of the Dressing Room.

• The visibility of the Spellwalk glyph has been improved, allowing one to better see another's glyphs and the changed visuals from their Effect Change Cards.
• Milletians that have been trade-blocked due to their first Item Shop purchase will be able to drop Storyline items to enter dungeons unimpeded.
• Fixed an issue causing Spirit of Tuan pets to miss their rhythm. Whisper of Tuan will properly increase Music skill duration every time.
• Condensed Strength Fragment: One-handed Blunt Weapon has been added to Gillach's Shop.
• Unusable items involving the removed Bonita Twin Ribbon (Handicraft) recipe will no longer drop.

• A prankster in the Royal Court swapped the ink used for naming Tara Banquet Tables with an invisible brand, causing chaos as nobody knew where to sit! More fine ink has been imported, and tables will once again be able to be named.
• The skill description of the Ninja skill Smokescreen has been clarified to better describe its effect.

The following are known bugs:

• There is an issue with the in-game Guild list not populating with guilds.
• There is an issue where one-time/limited items cannot be purchased from the in-game shop, but can be purchased on the Web Shop.
• Shop items with expiration times start counting down upon the player logging in or changing channels, rather than having their count down start when the item is purchased.
• In rare circumstances when rapidly casting Arrow Revolver, players will become unable to move or attack until receiving an attack or relogging.
