Mabinogi - Arciellia

Hello Milletians!

In an upcoming maintenance, we will be implementing our 64-bit Client Update. We highly recommend that you update your Mabinogi game clients, but this does not require a full re-install of the game when upgrading to the 64-bit Client.

With the February update, Mabinogi's game client will be upgraded to 64-bit, enabling improved performance on modern systems and to help us support Mabinogi long into the future. As part of this update, Mabinogi will no longer be playable on 32-bit (x86) operating systems.

Why Upgrade to a 64-bit Game Client?

Mabinogi on 32-bit was limited in its memory usage, depending on the needs of the operating system. With the change to 64-bit, it will allow the Mabinogi client to use more memory and improve client performance in various memory-intensive situations. It has been a recurring issue that any Mabinogi client exceeding more than 4GB of memory during normal gameplay would result in memory allocation failure, ultimately resulting in client crashes. In order to avoid such problems, the transition to 64-bit client may improve overall service quality.

While the 64-bit client will improve some client performance issues, please keep in mind that it will not resolve every issue you may have encountered previously.

How can I learn what Operating System I have?

If you are unsure of what sort of operating system you have running on your PC, you can find out in the "About Your PC" System Setting page:

Use the Windows key to bring up the Start Menu, and click on the Gear icon to open up the settings.
Under "System" menu, select "About" at the bottom of the sidebar.
Look under "System type", which will tell you which type of operating system and processor you have.

It should show one of three possible options:

64-bit operating system, x64-based processor: No changes required, your computer is already set-up and good to go!
32-bit operating system, x64-based processor: Your computer's operating system is still 32-bit, however your system's processor is able to support a 64-bit operating system. In order to play Mabinogi after the update, you will need to upgrade your operating system to a 64-bit version.
32-bit operating system, x86-based processor: Unfortunately, your computer is not able to support a 64-bit operating system, and will not be able to run Mabinogi after this update.

Updated Sound Library

Finally, with the future update, Mabinogi's sound library will also be updated. The sound library (MSS) used in the existing 32-bit client will be replaced with FMOD. When it came to the previous sound library, it was difficult to provide a stable environment when loading high-quality sound sources or loading sound sources of multiple instruments at once. As a result, the addition of an updated sound library will further reinforce "sound", one of the indispensable facets of Mabinogi. We will continue to strive to provide audio content that will satisfy all Milletians in the future.

Masterpiece Chapter 6 and 7 Update

- Chapter 6: The Divine Knights and Chapter 7: Apocalypse generations can now be replayed.
  - New Replay Rewards such as the new Homestead items, Mini-Gems, Balloons, Titles, and 20 new Jukebox BGMs are available.
- Overall improvements have been made to C6 and C7 NPCs and Missions.

The following bug fixes have been made to the game:

Fixed an issue where visual effects for certain Spirit Liqueurs were not appearing on the player's weapon.
Fixed an issue where visual effects for certain eyes' were not displaying properly.
Fixed an issue where Queen Eirawen's eyes were occasionally misaligned.
Fixed an issue with the [Pet/Partner?] help button's information.
Fixed a text error where Arcana Talents' text was being cut-off in the Talent Select Menu when rebirthing.
Fixed a text error with the rank up requirements for the skill "Hydra Transmutation".
Fixed an issue where after completing G7 Quest "Atrata’s Wind Bell", the Storyline Menu doesn't update.
Fixed an issue where the G25 quest "Love's Flame Enkindled" was not properly progressing.
Fixed an issue where after completing G24, the first quest of G25 would not arrive, and could not be manually started in the Storyline Menu.

The following are known bugs:

There is an issue where you cannot Friend Summon using Fynn Pets. It will show the error, "Unavailable because the owner has opened a Personal Shop".
During the Kraken Rex boss fight, Kraken Rex will use an attack that will cause players to lose protection, semi-permanently, until they change channels or relog.
There is an issue where the Today Visitor Count does not reset to 0. When a visiting character visits the Homestead, the Today and Total Count accumulates normally.
The available upgrades in the Item Upgrade may overlap in the UI if the window is increased.
Homestead Anvils and Furnaces have settings to allow visitors to use them, but do not actually restrict the use of the items.
There is a slight graphical error where part of the hose is missing when a William or Butler Partner uses the Water Hose gesture.
Some Partner gestures that have them holding a weapon will appear as though the weapon is disconnected and floating.
There are Partner gestures that do not activate when a Partner has something equipped in their left hand.
There is an issue after using the Thunder skill, the character can't charge Thunder again until after the Thunder bolt hits/damages enemies.
If you try to change your style to an appearance already saved in a Beauty Slot, it will say it failed.
There is a minor visual issue with the Beauty Slot text if you scroll up and down after expanding the Beauty Slot.
The outline color when clicking on an empty Beauty Slot is incorrect.
There is text cut-off in the Buy Item UI when buying the Royal Society Appreciation Box from Melwyn.
The inventory image for the Mace of Mercy is incorrect.
Feeding a Pet Instructor Stick to a Level 100 Spirit weapon will cause the character to freeze.
If you had a unicode heart on your wedding ring, the heart appears as a question mark.
The Shaggy Perm hairstyle can be saved in a Beauty Slot.
Cobweb Mummy enemies do not appear in the Alby Advanced Dungeon.
Guilds are not appearing in the Guild List.
When you first open the Master Plan Inventory, it will incorrectly show as locked. Closing and reopening the inventory will fix the issue.
There is a minor graphical issue with the Special Shining Stage Concert Costume (M) when the character equipped with the outfit is running.
Scathach's hands do not match her skin color.
The Tail Chasers mini-game in Festia is currently inaccessible.
Guild stones can be placed very close to each other.
Some players have encountered an issue when using Fynn Sync for Corgi pets.
- A further uncommon issue can occur where placing items into the pet's inventory will disappear.
Minimizing the game client for an extended period of time while at an active Field Raid may cause the window to stop responding.
A rare issue has been reported where raids do not spawn correctly on certain channels.
A textural error in Port Ceann has been reported.
Nascent Divinity causes players with Almond skintones to become teal.
There is an issue where one-time/limited item cannot be purchased from the ingame shop, but can be on the web-shop.
The Intricate Braid Hair (F) does not animate properly in some cases.
The talents that are used for Arcana Talents have text cut off on the Rebirth screen.
Shop items with expiration times start counting down upon the player logging in or changing channels, rather than having their count down start when the item is purchased.

During the event, you will receive the quest, [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea.
Find Craft Designer Cindy in the Dunbarton Town Square.
Register a main character with Cindy.
You can only register one character per account.
You will receive the following items after completing [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea:

2,000 EXP
2,000 Gold
Beginner's Mannequin (Event)

Log in to receive 100 Design Notes once per day.
The event resets daily at 7:00 AM PST/PDT.
All event quests and items will be removed when the event ends. These items will also be completely removed from the Auction House when the event ends, regardless of Sold or Not Sold status, along with all the gold.

Craft Designer Cindy's Sewing Pattern (Daily)

Complete the quest every day by using the Beginner's Mannequin received in [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea.
The daily quest resets every day at 7:00 AM PST/PDT.
To complete the quest, you must craft 10 Sewing Patterns.
You can craft a Sewing Pattern using the Design Note.
You can craft a Sewing Pattern anywhere. One Design Note will create one Sewing Pattern.
The craft success rate by grade will differ depending on the type of mannequin used. There are three mannequins:

Beginner's Mannequin (Event) (Received from [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea)
Journeyman's Mannequin (Event) (Craftable)
Professional's Mannequin (Event) (Craftable)

You can use the Handicraft Skill to craft the Journeyman's Mannequin (Event) and Professional's Mannequin (Event).
Journeyman's Mannequin (Event) and Professional's Mannequin (Event) are tradable and can be purchased from other players.
When you complete the daily quest, you will receive:

Masterpiece Chapter 6 and 7 Update

Update Details

Chapter 6: The Divine Knights and Chapter 7: Apocalypse generations can now be replayed.
- If you have played all of G19 The Divine Knights, G20 The Gate of Sanctuary, and G21 The Guardian's Path, you can start the replay for the Chapter 6 Generations.
  - You can obtain the C6 Replay Reward Box by completing the replay.
- If you have played all of G22 Apocalypse, G23 Tempest, G24 Ascension, and G25 Eclipse, you can start the replay for the Chapter 7 Generations.
  - You can obtain the C7 Replay Reward Box by completing the replay.
You can replay a completed Generation by clicking the Start Replay button belonging to that generation and chapter in the Storyline menu.
Only one replay can be played through one Generation at a time.
While replaying a Generation, some NPCs may not be available or it may be difficult to enter or move to certain areas. Upon completion or forfeiting of the replay, NPCs are normally visible again and you can enter certain areas.
You cannot start a replay from the middle of a Generation.
If you forfeit a replay or start a replay of another generation while a replay is in progress then, all replay progress of the generation will be reset.
If the daily replay count limit has been reached for the part, the replay progress for Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 will be saved and you can start from the next part the next day.
During replay, there is no delay in accepting quests, and it has been improved that the next quest will be received immediately.
Replay quest has been improved to receive quests while indoors.
Quests given between Generations Part 1 and Part 2 that are not related to the story have been excluded from Replay.
Optional titles can be collected through repeated replays.
Completing Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 replays will award C6 Replay Reward Box and C7 Replay Reward Box:
- Opening the box will reward a chance to receive a variety of items such as new C6/C7 Homestead Housing decorations, and unlock one BGM for the Homestead Jukebox.
  - The acquired BGM will be one that you have not yet unlocked.
- Balloons obtained from the replay reward box cannot be traded.
Replay starting conditions require all chapters of a Generation to be completed.
- Example: To replay G1, you must have completed Chapter 1 by clearing all of G1, G2, and G3.
- If you are currently replaying G1, G2, or G3, the replay progress will be reset upon logging in after the update. You will receive one C1 Replay Reward Box and 3,000 gold by mail.
The number of replay episodes that can be started per day has been changed from 5 to 7.
Improvements to existing Chapter 6: The Divine Knights and Chapter 7: Apocalypse are as follows:
- When progressing through a generation in Chapter 6, optional dialogue will be presented even when talking to a character outside of the quest progression order.
Completing all the Generations in Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 will permanently add NPCs in Avalon.
- After the update, you will need to complete the Generations for Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 for the first time or complete a replay once.
  - Even if you have cleared all previous Generations for Chapter 6 and 7, you must complete a replay for any belonging to the chapter at least once to encounter the NPCs.
- Depending on the day of the week, the NPCs that are available will be split amongst the days; however, they won’t appear on Saturday.
- You cannot meet them during the replay though they will appear normally again when replay is completed or forfeited.
- In the case of NPCs that can be met in the sanctuary, they will appear or disappear normally only after entering the sanctuary once, even on the specified day of the week.
Improvements have been made so that you can present some items to the permanent NPCs you can meet at the entrance of Tech Duinn.
Travel Diary conversation keywords for some NPCs will be modified or added.
- Upon clearing G19, keywords for Altam or Avelin are acquired.
  - This does not apply if you have previously cleared G20 and possessed the keyword and possession history remains.
- Upon clearing G20, keywords for Caswyn or Pihne are acquired.
- Upon clearing G21, keywords for Talvish or Llywelyn are acquired.
- After the update, you can learn the keywords when you complete each generation first and the replay.
  - For those that have previously cleared all Generations, you must complete each Generation through replay at least once to obtain the keywords.
For some NPCs, special dialogues that are only displayed during replays will be added.
For some NPCs, reaction dialogue lines when wearing specific outfits are added.
The description of Port Ceann in some generations will be modified to match the situation after the Great Era of Commerce update.
Many typos and awkward expressions throughout the G19, G20, G21, G22, G23, G24, and G25 storyline have been corrected.
A number of situations in which conversations with an NPC are impossible due to the storyline dialogue have been improved.
Camera direction has been changed to the following missions within G19, G20, and G21.
- G19: “Incidental Inevitability,” “The Wolf and the Man,” “Things with Wings,” “Shattered Trust,” and “Do or Die”
- G20: “Graveyard Night,” “Grave Keeper 1,” “Any Way the Wind Blows,” “A Knight’s Musings,” “Circle of Damnation,” and “Clashing Blades 1”
- G21: “First Communication,” “Second Communication,” “Third Communication,” “Sixth Communication,” “Colossal Enemy by the Shore,” “Ambush,” “Seventh Communication,” “Avelin’s Nightmare,” “Gravebound,” “Sanctuary Erg,” “The Keeper of the Gate,” “That Which Remains,” “Twilight, Moonlight, Starlight,” “Winds of Madness,” and “Guardians”
In G20, issues have been fixed where the change in the NPC’s relationship and emotional lines were inconsistent.
- If you don’t select a speech option when offered to accompany Altam in the Budding Beginning quest, it will increase Avelin’s favorability instead of Altam.
- If you ask the reason for Pihne’s request in the quest Circle of Damnation, Caswyn’s favorability will drop instead of increasing.
- If you interrupt Pihne’s conversation in the quest Forward Progress, it will decrease Talvish’s favorability instead of Pihne’s.
The balance for some of the G21 story missions has been modified.
- When using the item “Prayer of Protection” in the shadow mission “Twilight, Moonlight, Starlight”, the duration of the protection effect is increased.
- In the shadow mission "Guardians”, the boss has been modified so that it does not attack while dialogue is in progress. If the boss’ HP is reduced to 80%, the boss becomes invincible until entering phase 2 of the fight.
The appearance of characters in some G22 cutscenes has been changed.
In G24, information for “Things That Go Bump in the Night“ has been changed to include more details under the Story Guide.
Fixed an issue where Enya and Etain’s gloves were displayed incorrectly when playing G25 RP Missions or using Transformation Medals.
The G25 Storyline start method has changed.
- If you select “Start G25 Eclipse” in the Storyline Menu, the related cutscene will play and you will immediately enter the story mission.
- This has changed so that you can proceed with the first quest regardless of whether or not you have cleared the first story mission to enter.
20 new BGM themes have been added to the Jukebox.

C6/C7 Replay Reward Boxes

When you complete a Generation Replay for C6 and C7, you will receive a C6 Replay Reward Box and C7 Replay Reward Box respectively.
Opening the box will reward one item from the following droplist, and unlock one BGM for the Homestead Jukebox.
- The acquired BGM will be one that you have not yet unlocked.
- Both C6 and C7 Replay Boxes have the possibility of dropping Mini-Gems/Mini-Gem Selection Boxes, and Balloons!
