I’d like to introduce everyone with the Developer’s Notes for May. 

 


A New Raid will be added along with the Main Story. 

Sreng, the Adversary of all, Earth Legion Commander of the Eweca Forces appears as the boss monster blocking your path. 

He harbors a deep affection for Blood Legion Commander Bres, the Blood Mistress, intensifying his resentment towards your party. 

However, he’s not the foolish kind to neglect his duties of legion commander for revenge. 

A dreadful battle awaits, with Sreng willing to risk his life to fulfill his mission. 

 

We’re also preparing a total of 6 Royal Army Raid Battles: 

[Gates of Hell], [The Dark, Dank Sewers], [The Giant], [Into the Abyss], [Burning Temple], [The Evil One]. 

Every day, two different battles from the list will be chosen in rotation. 

Each battle requires Lv.115 to depart, and Minimum stat adjustments will no longer be available.  

Departure methods remain the same as before and you will be able to earn a new item that allows processing of Mysterious / Abyssal Shards, plus a newly added Mysterious Glass Bottle (Lv.60). 

The new Mysterious Glass Bottle (Lv.60) will not drop: Godly Iron Ore, Heavenly Leather, Heavenly Cloth, and Paradise Orb. 

 

We’re also preparing 9 Special Dungeons: 

(Special)[Avatar of Destruction], [Memory of the Past], [Remembrance], [Garden of Tears], [The Price of Failure], [Brilliant Lugh], [Fate and Destiny], [God of Death], [Dungeon Laboratory] 

Every week, three different battles from the list will be chosen in rotation, and each battle requires Lv.115 to depart. 

From the new Special Dungeons, you can earn Special Dungeon: Enchant Pouches. 

We do not have any plans for any new enchantments for now, but we are looking into adding them when new accessories or items are added. 

 

Meanwhile, the rewards for the [Dusk on Crescent Moon Island] have been renewed, and we’ve also reallocated rewards so that you can play existing raid battles depending on what item you wish to obtain. 

With the maximum level expansion, [Battle of Rocheste], [Clan of Darkness], [Spearhead of Paradise Lost], [Under the Pale Moon], [Ladaton Bridge], [Royal Castle Dungeon] will be adjusted to normal battles. 

Also, Waking Stones (Rank A) that were originally dropped from Royal Army Total War will now be added to the Redeemers rewards box obtained after the patch. 

 


A new Expertise rank, ‘Artisan’ will be added as a maximum level Expertise rank. This can be earned only after completing the story quest, ‘Advanced Expertise Artisan.’ 

If you obtain the Artisan rank for Expertise, you can craft or advance(Name TBD) Lv.120 items and can also receive crafting requests. 

A crafting request requires the requester to prepare all the materials, and the Artisan can proceed using a stall placed in town. 

You can only have one Artisan rank Expertise per character, but other characters’ Expertise can be shared. 

Shared Expertise of the sort can still craft items, but it won’t let you place stalls or receive requests. 

 

You can also Transfer your Expertise. 

You can only transfer Expertise below 399, before you earn the title of Artisan. When you transfer your Expertise, all the titles you own related to it moves along with it. 

We considered transferring only the expertise proficiency while retaining the titles. 

However, we're concerned that the transferred character won't be able to acquire titles and that using the transfer system would become mandatory for title retention, leading to a complex situation. Therefore, we've decided to proceed in this manner. 

Some Artisan rank Expertise will allow crafting avatar from previous equipment, and the necessary materials can be earned from Niflheim and Special Dungeons. 

 


As said earlier, you will be able to craft Lv.120 items through Artisan rank Expertise. 

A +15 Orna equipment with all stats except the ATT surplus tuned will be used as crafting material, and the crafted item’s exchangeability will follow the material item’s exchange type. 

Also, if you use an extraction rune during crafting, you can also create an item that copies the exact same enchantments from the material item. 

These crafted items start from Normal, and you can advance(Name TBD) them through Beginner – Fine – Superior – Rare – Legendary. 

 

To utilize advancements(Name TBD), you need an item called Advance Stone(Name TBD). You can craft them if you have Artisan rank Expertise. 

To craft, you need Essence: Fragments and Inherited Power: Fragements, along with Goibhniu’s Stone, Goibhniu’s Stone+, Superior Enhancement Elixir, etc. 

With this crafted Advance Stone(Name TBD) and some special materials, Jardin Steels, Premium Runes, Premium Runes+, Premium Armor Enhancement Runes, etc. As materials, you can advance (Name TBD) your item. 

 


The Core Boost system will be divided into two groups: Raid Battles and others, with the other group including Special Dungeons, Niflheim, Royal Army and Abyssal Arena. 

Core Boost effects apply to 10 Raid Battles and 6 other battles daily, and you can apply Core Boost effects to the desired battle. 

It can be used on a character basis, and when exceeding the number of battles, Core Boost effects will no longer apply. 

  

When Core Boost effects are applied, you can obtain Core Boost-exclusive items and have a double chance of obtaining major reward. 

Previously, the Core Boost system was planned to provide more rewards and gold, but to ensure a smoother gameplay experience, it has been changed to double the chance of obtaining major rewards only. 

With the application of the Core Boost system, changes in the pattern of playing Battle Circuit are expected, and the groups for Battle Circuit will be further subdivided accordingly. 

Please note that Core Boost effects are not applied in Solo Mode. 

 


Daily, Weekly, Monthly missions will be renewed. 

Especially the daily and weekly missions, which originally simply repeated the same missions, will now grant different missions regarding your character’s raid clear status. 

Also, we’ve managed to remove some missions that were unfair, and adjusted the rewards so that they’re more worthwhile. 

Sub Character Boosts and the Mercenary Blessing will now be expanded to Lv.115 as well. 

There’re still many minor changes, such as Eweca’s Blessing expanded to Lv.104, that I can’t mention in the Developer Notes. Please keep an eye out for the details in the coming updates.

Growing up near the forest, Lynn felt watched over throughout her childhood. When she finally meets the friendly bear, Pan, Lynn learns of her destiny as the reincarnated Forest Child. Together Pan and Lynn begin a journey to awaken the master of the forest and ensure its protection. They are joined by two more critters: Penni the bird and Paeon the wolf.

Forest Child Lynn uses the power of the forest to help Maplers defeat their enemies! As a Magician, Lynn uses INT as her main stat. Her primary weapon is the Memorial Staff and her secondary weapon is a Leaf. Each of Lynn's animalistic Spirit Guides has their own skill set to aid her in battle. Lynn also possesses supporting skills to bolster her allies.

• Peck: Penni flies about and automatically attacks enemies. Unaffected by attack reflection. Available at 2nd Job Advancement. Max Level: 20.

• Sneak Attack: Paeon hides in the darkness, then pounces to follow up the skills of the other Spirit Guides. Unaffected by attack reflection. Available at 3rd Job Advancement. Max Level: 20.

• Roar: Pan lets out a mighty roar, creating a shockwave that damages nearby enemies. Available at 4th Job Advancement. Max Level: 20.

• Mother Nature's Touch: Shares the lifeforce of Mother Nature with all allies to provide healing effects. Restores HP, removes harmful effects, and grants continuous healing for a set time. Available at 4th Job Advancement. Max Level: 10.

v.250 - New Job: Forest Child Lynn

The arrival of Forest Child Lynn is finally here! Lynn is a magician that uses a Memorial Staff weapon and the power of the forest to summon Spirit Guides to help her defeat her enemies. While she can do strong damage with her Spirit Guide skills, she also has a variety of healing skills and buffs to help her party, so she will be very helpful as a support. (Also since players have been asking, yes, she will be released on the day of the v.250 update!)

We know many of you are curious about the conversion details from Beast Tamer to Lynn. Please wait until the patch notes have been released as it states all the information related to this topic.

v.250 - Mayple Island

Welcome to Mayple Island! Yes, we named it [/u]Mayple because it’s occurring in May! Mayple Island is a place that was created from the sparkling memories of Maplers. Meet those from your memories and receive abundant gifts by filling the Wish Orb that contains the dreams and hopes of people. The more you fill the Wish Orb, the better the rewards you’ll receive! Plus, there will be fun mini-games, photo booths, popularity contests, and other unique experiences throughout the event, including a museum exhibit where you can win OG Maple items. Don’t miss out and experience them all!

v.251 - Angelic Buster Remaster

Our queen of music, Angelic Buster, has blessed us with her return! In addition to her new look that is cuter and lovelier than ever, check out the newly changed skills. She’s also releasing her first mini album for you loyal fans, so we better see Angelic Buster as one of your top listened to artists in your 2024 Wrapped!

After Monster Life ends, a new growth system called ‘Legion Artifact' will be included. Through various gameplay, players can naturally complete the missions and get time-limited stats that can be applied to all characters, introducing a new integrated character growth system.

Introducing MapleStory's first epic dungeon for characters level 260 and above! Dive into the story of the awakened sun god Mitra who has returned to the High Mountain after a long slumber. Defeat numerous enemies and get plenty of EXP and rewards.

v.251 - Dreaming Lachelein

We invite you to Lucid’s happy dream! Aren’t you curious about Lucid’s dreamy festival that isn’t a nightmare but something everyone can enjoy? Not only can you get LOADS of EXP, but there is a special reward shop, and content and mini-games for rapid leveling waiting for you. Explore all the exciting and special events that Lucid has prepared!

v.251 - Midnight Party

Welcome to the Midnight Party! It’s not a real party without goodies, so participate in the daily and weekly parties by defeating monsters to earn unique rewards, such as custom Lachelein outfits and backgrounds. After you’re done partying, you can earn your very own Lucidroid to accompany you on all your future endeavors.

v.251 - Hyper Burning & Tera Blink

Spiegelmann prepared a special map this time for Hyper Burning called Tera Blink! If you’re designated as a Hyper Burning character, you’ll be 200 with a blink of an eye in Spiegelmann’s ‘World Inside the Hat.’ Helpful rewards will be given every time you complete missions to help you progress even faster. So if you haven’t leveled your Legion yet, take this chance!

• Note: The Name Change submission site will be unavailable after 5:00 AM PDT time, and will be available after the maintenance.

Pon Reimbursement:
Due to the Style Tab becoming a free feature, players will be offered Pon based on the following duration criteria:

• The remaining duration of character Style Tabs on an account, rounded to the nearest whole day.
• Payment of 0.4 Pon/day, rounded to the nearest whole number.
• Examples:
• If a character has 3 days of Style Tab remaining, 2 Pon will be provided.
• If a character has 10 days and 20 hours of Style Tab remaining, 5 Pon will be provided by the calculation of 0.4 Pon x 11 days = 4.4 Pon -> 5 Pon.
• The duration provided by existing Premium/VIP service will not be included.
• The duration of remaining Style Tab cannot exceed a total of 2500 days for the account. This means 1000 Pon will be the maximum amount of Pon one account can receive.
