Ironclad Games and Stardock Entertainment have released a small hotfix for v1.97 of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion today. This update should resolve the issues reported in running the game.
Removed incorrect dinput8.dll file that prevented the game from launching for some users - especially on Windows 8. (Note that if you added this manually, you can safely delete it).
Updated some code in the file system that may help fix with issues where the game can't read/write to is settings directory.
Resolved (hopefully) multiplayer server stability issues.

This weekend we will be playing the Armada 3 mod; the largest total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that introduces the ships and factions of Star Trek to the game.
From the Federation to the Borg, this mod is a lot of fun for Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike.

Come join us this weekend as we play the Stargate Races mod. This mod introduces ships from the Stargate franchise, but do not forget to also get the Sins Remastered mod that improves all graphical fidelity for the game.

Stardock is pleased to release v3.0 for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes today. This new major update includes a host of performance improvements, crash fixes, balance updates and more.

Tile yield update on screen aborts immediately if the terrain is invalid for a city (perf)
Fixed crash bug where garbage characters could get inserted into a scene node
Increased the map tilt further so you can see more pretty stuff
Calc Military Might now longer force updates the battle rank of units. (perf)

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress – Legendary Heroes is a fantasy strategy game in which the player builds a civilization in the world of Elemental. This world was nearly destroyed by the War of Magic, and it is up to you to rebuild it.
Unlike most civilization games, the Elemental games put you into the game directly as a character.
Over the past year or so, players have been sending us their saved games so that we can use them to determine certain edge crash situation or stuck turn scenarios. We know that when it happens to you while you’re playing that it doesn’t feel like much of an “edge case,” so we wanted to make sure to find and fix as many as possible.
To make tactical battles more interesting, we made some AI improvements and wrote some new code that should improve turn times substantially, especially on larger maps. Because of these performance gains and greater stability, we increased the map sizes just a bit as well.

Join community manager Schism Navigator as we host a community games night this Saturday in the European evening. These events are a great opportunity for everyone to get online and play games together. All skill levels welcome.
If you are playing, please join the voice chat on the Sins of a Solar Empire official discord server. Though it is not mandatory to be in voice it is preferred, and we will prioritize those on voice.
