Added a changelog viewer in-game on the main menu

Rock Beast attributes, abilities, and AI reworked/buffed a bit to make him a bit more challenging and interesting
Enemies that are immune to certain damage types will now also resist related effects, so they won't have 0 damage DoTs displayed all the time

New Content
A new act, with new enemy types, relics, encounters, and a useful new item when you defeat the final boss
15 new characters to find and unlock, bringing the total available to 40:
Banshee: Scream and wail over your fallen allies, and possess those that are still alive
Barbarian: Cleave your foes in two with a massive claymore, and scare them into submission with a mighty roar
Caveman: Command a mighty Sabertooth tiger while bashing your enemies over the head with primitive weapons

General Balance Changes/QOL items
Special midbosses (Big Blob, Broodmother, etc) now only appear in the actual midboss fight. Other "extreme danger" fights are now elite fights vs husks and higher-power enemy groups, such as Triple Wrestlers or Death Worms
Shift, and skills that cause position shifts, can now target and trade places with downed allies
Improved husk AI for Rocker, Immortal, Lawbringer, Marine, and Medic
Bosses now have an innate 75% resistance to interrupt type skills (such as Chuckles' Honk skill)
Added a new distortion that adds holy damage to attacks
Added "BLOCKED" text when damage is negated by a skill or effect, instead of showing nothing
Hero Balance Changes
Samuel's Lawbreaker trait level 3 now applies to allies as well as Samuel
Yukiko's Execute can now target any critical enemy, instead of just Melee range
Darius' Grenade skill damage reduced from 125-175 to 100-150
Darius' Smoke Grenade skill dodge bonus decreased to 35% from 50%, but the effect no longer diminishes every turn.
Zeke's Dropkick skill damage increased from 1.25x to 2x Power
Zeke's No-Sell new blocks up to 100% Max HP damage before ending, instead of reducing damage for 2 turns.
Wensho's Stone Skin now blocks 1x Focus damage, and non-dodging effect is removed. Level 3 blocks now more damage types.
Wensho's Chakra now heals allies for 1.5x Focus instead of 0.5x, and level 2 restores 1.5x Focus MP
Ambroise's Incision skill has replaced his old basic "Scalpel" skill, and he now has a new skill, Bubo Burst

This patch includes some bugfixes and balance changes based on player feedback, as well as some polish and system additions for the Act 2 release that we wanted to get added. We are now approaching a version which should be ready for the main branch soon.

Balance Changes/New Content
Introductory recon missions are now split into 3 separate missions -- one for each midboss, with some different encounters for each. If you've already passed the original intro mission in your save, the game will count this as having already passed all 3
Added two new enemy types to stage 2, with a few new battles for them: Soul Master and Mammoth
Reworked Spirit Well fight to have more defined and easier to follow phases. The overall general theme is the same.
Reworked Zombie enemy to be more challenging. It can revive itself into a weaker form, but its HP has been reduced. It also gains a free turn when its allies are downed, and can counter attack. A few zombie encounters have been changed based on these changes.
Improved AI for Cursed husk, so it will use Rekindle and Bone Shield appropriately
Improved AI for Ninja husk, so it will attack with shurikens as well as ninja tools, and not spam caltrops
Reworked Thorg (Viking) a bit, to solidify his frenzy and crit theme

It's here! Version 0.2.0b (Frozen Tundra) release is finally available to play! We are releasing this into a new Beta branch at first, before an official Stable release, so that we can head off any major bugs and finish up a bit of polish here and there. Still, all the content is available and playable right now, and everything should be able to go to the main branch pretty soon.
How do I download the Beta Branch?
Opting into a Beta branch is easy on Steam. Simply right click Time Break Chronicles in your Library, select Properties, and then click "Betas." From there you can select the Beta branch from the dropdown, and Steam will download the files for you.

We are getting very close to the release of Frozen Tundra, so we've got another upcoming character teaser for you today, to whet your appetite.
Brand, the Cleric
The Frozen Tundra abounds with evil and undead, so a holy man of strength and conviction will be invaluable in your efforts to defeat the cult's minions. Brand wields a blessed Holy Mace, ready to smash evil with holy damage. He can Consecrate the earth, and read the undead their Last Rites to banish them from the battlefield for good. As a man of the cloth, he also provides healing and holy protection to allies.
Kiara, the Banshee
Speaking of undead, Kiara is our first undead hero. Cursed to an existence as a ghostly banshee, Kiara mourns the loss of her allies with piercing screams and wails, dealing Sonic damage to the enemies who felled them. As a ghostly spirit, she is incorporeal, making her hard to hit, and she can also possess an ally to empower them with her own abilities. Kiara works fantastically with heroes who fall and are revived regularly, such as Carlos or Javed.
We've got a medium-sized update for you today, which includes some bug fixes, and changes and additions to some of the core systems of the game, based on your feedback.
Changelog for version 0.1.15
New Feature: Book Binding
The Book Binder is an upgrade you can now purchase on the Library building. It will allow you to convert stacks of duplicate Skill Books into other random books. With enough books, you can even just craft an Encyclopedia to train any skill.
New Feature: Infinite Bonus Upgrades
The three unlockable town buildings now have a special upgrade that can be purchased multiple times, with an exponentially scaling cost. They each grant +1 to three different attributes for all heroes.
Item Bundle Changes
Our goal with these changes is to remove some of the hurdle for new players in selecting from the available item bundles, and to give more freedom to choose various mission items without worrying about cost.
Item bundles when starting a mission are now free, but the number of slots for them has been reduced.
You can only select one of each type of bundle.
We have removed some of the more "advanced" bundles from the starting list to help guide newer players into selecting more useful stuff early game. Additional bundles can be unlocked via town upgrades.
Camping Changes
Our goal with these changes is to increase the choice of paths you can take during the mission, instead of tending to always just go for the path with the most camps.
Camping Supplies have been changed to a new item: Stimulant Pod. These allow you to restore 15 stamina to all allies at any time from the party item menu, as opposed to requiring a camp to use them.
Camp sites have been reduced to only appear before the mid and end boss fights, but they now restore 30 stamina for free.
One Stimulant Pod is now a guaranteed reward from Extreme Danger combats.
You can bring a free Stimulant Pod via an Item Bundle when starting a mission, and of course find them in battle or chest rewards.
Hero Balance Changes
Cain's Chaos Storm level 3 now returns 25% of MP instead of 50%.
Cain's Unstable Generator now also reduces MP healing he receives by 50%.
Downed allies now also count as "critical" for skill effect purposes.
Bug Fixes/Other
Missing achievements have been added for the recent Hero Pack heroes (Clown, Linebacker, Maelstrom). If you've already rescued them, the achievements should be awarded the next time you visit town.
Fixed bug where Cain's Unstable Generator level 2 effect procced at level 1.
Fixed some display bugs with Darius and Samuel's gun sprites' visibility timing.
Vendors now play a "ka-ching" sound when you buy something, instead of no sound.
Version 0.1.14 is here, with our first Wanderer Hero Pack: three new heroes for you to rescue in endless mode! This update also includes some other updates and changes.

First off, the three new heroes. These heroes are classified as "wanderers" and can only be rescued in endless mode (of any tier).
Chuckles, the Clown
Get ready for a barrel of creepy laughs with Chuckles and his ridiculous enemy-stunning gadgets. Fire pies into enemy faces, bonk them on the head with an oversized mallet, or break their concentration with a well timed honk of a clown horn.
Cain, the Maelstrom
Master the chaos of a storm with Cain and his high-tech lightning controlling armor. Unleash a devastating Chaos Storm, control your foes with his Stasis Net, and power up your allies' MP with his restorative generator skills.
Paul, the Linebacker
Coming in fast and furious straight from the gridiron is Paul, ready to lay the lumber on whoever is in his way. Trash Talk your opponents to throw them off their game. Change stances from Zone Defense to Blitz to swap from a defensive to offensive mindset. With his heavy pads and helmet, Paul can also take a beating, nullifying large amounts of physical damage.
Additional Patch Notes
Zeke's skills have been adjusted and retuned to buff him a bit.
The "All Characters" list in town has been redesigned to more easily fit more characters on the screen at once, and hidden characters from Frozen Wasteland are displayed
Grey Blob enemy is now called Spiked Blob, with a new spiky sprite design to better convey what it does
After rescuing a character, the skill they grant to Claire will be displayed as part of the post-rescue dialogue.
Scan Time Break skill now automatically opens status menu after using it, for ease of use.
Fixed no longer being able to select targets in battle by clicking on them.
Fixed a possible crash if Berserk distortion was applied to Claire.

Today we've got a preview of 2 heroes from our upcoming first Hero Pack, coming later this month! We are still working away on the Frozen Tundra content, but we wanted to make sure to get some new heroes out for you to play with! This is a smaller content release that will add "wanderer" heroes that can be rescued only in endless mode.
Chuckles, the Clown
Just in time for Halloween, Chuckles the Clown is here to bring the creepy laughs. Claire is not a fan of clowns, but even she can't deny the healing power of laughter. Whether it's bonking enemies on the head with a large squeaky mallet, throwing pies to blind them, or honking his clown horn to interrupt their attacks, Chuckles heals his allies with every action he performs. Just don't ask him where he gets the endless supply of balloons.
Cain, the Maelstrom
You have probably already met Rafael, the Sentinel, and perhaps wondered who the Sentinel Corps use their Forcefields to protect in their universe. Meet the Maelstrom, master over the awesome power and chaos of a lightning storm. Cain's armor is equipped with a Volatile Capacitor and Unstable Battery, which allows him to quickly recharge his MP, share some MP with allies, and damage enemies randomly with discharges of lighting. When his MP is full, he can unleash the devastating Chaos Storm, laying waste to his foes.
We've got another upcoming character teaser for you today, as we continue to work on the next content release. We are hoping to have a smaller "character pack" content update soon for you, as well. We'll post more on that in the near future.

Jedidiah, the Pioneer
Jed is a rugged pioneer and trapper from the early days of western expansionism. As an expert survivalist, used to rugged living off the land, he loses stamina more slowly than others, is able to get more use out of healing items, and can even find some extra items from time to time. When forced to fight, Jed is armed with a powerful black powder musket. It may take a turn to reload, but it packs a punch. However, if he can, Jed prefers to lay in wait, set traps, and ambush his prey with a well timed aimed shot.
