Now that we have most of the major launch bugs and feature requests worked out, we wanted to post an update on Development progress as we continue on to work on the content for the upcoming Frozen Tundra update. We'll be posting more of these sorts of updates as we go along.
First, we wanted to thank everyone who has contributed bug reports, feedback, and content. We're also glad to see many of you enjoying theorycrafting and pushing the difficulty in endless run attempts. We make games for you, the players, so it's great to see participation in the community!
The main feature of this post is to showcase a couple of the upcoming heroes you'll be able to find amongst the ice and snow. Let's start with Claire's new Frozen form! When Frozen Tundra releases, this form will unlock for anyone who has completed the Wasteland story mission.
Frozen Form Claire
This Claire uses science and technology to master her environment, the ice and snow of the Tundra. She can encase herself in ice for protection, and can apply piercing ice type damage to her and her allies' attacks. She can also summon an automated drone to pelt enemies with ice attacks.
As always, she will be able to borrow skills from many of the upcoming heroes, and a few of the existing ones.
Sovras, the Necromancer
Sovras is centered around dealing Dark type damage while using endless hordes of undead as literal meat shields. Not content to sit in the back lines, Sovras actually works best as a tank. He automatically summons Zombies who block damage for him and dish out some damage of their own. In addition, he has various way to reduce and redirect incoming damage, steal health, and even avoid death itself.
Offensively, Sovras' featured skill, Grave's Call, guides enemies to their demise, which deals increasing Dark type damage as his target loses HP, and can keep them from Bleeding Out.
Sovras' relics provide Physical and Dark damage mitigation effects, and access to his Grave's Call skill.
What's Next?
We'll be posting more of these updates, with character reveals and other things, as we continue working on things and get closer to our next content release. We hope you're having fun with the current content, but we certainly want to get more of it into your hands!
Seth's Thrash skill reworked to do more direct damage
Seth's Venom Bite damage increased a bit
Big Dan's Hell Ride skill level 2 now gains 50% damage per use
Big Dan's Boozer trait level 2 now taunts a random enemy instead of removing a debuff
Added a graphics quality option for lower end computers that will disable some of the more intensive full-screen shader effects, when set to "Low." This should help if you're struggling with performance.
Bug fixes
Claire's Quantum Mechanics bonus should now accurately reset after battle
Big Dan's Hell Ride level 3 now charges correctly
Fixed occasional animation error with Taunt skill
Fixed bug with tutorial where party could get cleared out
Fixed being able to abandon tutorial early and end up in "limbo" without certain appropriate unlocks. Any games like this should get these unlocks awarded the next time they visit town.
Fixed bug with relic menu where you couldn't equip a relic with the mouse
Fixed mouse clickability of empty character slots in battle menu
This patch adds some more new-player friendly content, and improves the endless mode system, based on feedback from our players, as well as a few bug fixes. Thanks for contributing!

New Content
New games or games that have yet to beat tier 1 now have an introductory mission, called a "Recon Mission" that is shorter and of a bit lower difficulty. This should help ease the introduction to the game and get your characters leveled up a bit before facing harder challenges. Once you complete the Recon Mission, you will progress to a "Hunting Mission" which is the same as the previous content.
Endless mode has been replaced by a new take on Endless mode in which you can choose the difficulty level to start at. As you beat each one, additional difficulty tiers open up. This allows you to skip early low level content if you would like, while still pushing for higher difficulty with greater rewards.
Big Blob boss now awards a new Boss Relic.
Venom Queen boss now awards a new Boss Relic.
Bug fixes
Ambroise's Plaguebearer should now plague random enemies instead of only the attacker when at level 2
Fixed a bug where party members sometimes could disappear or end up swapping position incorrectly
Fixed visual bug where characters revived by Rewind Break skill would sometimes remain rotated sideways
Fixed Harry's Emergency Care being able to activate even when downed
Fixed a possible soft lock from mouse input in the portal menu

Balance Changes/New Content

Zeke's No-Sell skill now expires after taking 15% of Max HP in damage, or after 2 turns. This should help the triple wrestlers elite fight not drag out so much when they get low
Boss Relics are no longer craftable. You'll need to hunt the bosses to find more!
Mission Failure screen now shows how many particles you'll recover when returning to town
Husk bikers in the double biker fight will always have level 1 Fighting Spirit, so they won't have too much regen
Teleporter encounter now always teleports you somewhere on the same x-tier and grants extra particles when you take the teleporter
Battle speed indicator is now always visible so it can be more easily controlled by mouse users (just click on it to cycle through speeds)
Abandoning a mission now rewards you with 10% of collected particles per hop you've completed (up to 50%). This allows you to quit your mission and still get rewards if you're pretty sure you're about to lose anyway
This patch includes some fixes for a couple bugs that were quite elusive for a while, but we think stability and performance should be increased for many players. Thank you for your bug reports and feedback!

Fixed and improved some calculations that were being processed every frame, but are now processed only when necessary. This should improve performance in battle for some players who reporting frame rate issues only in battle, especially those with slower CPUs.

Red Blob enemies now explode and deal fire damage when killed
The Twins boss will now restore health to 75% and 50% of max when changing to phase 2 and 3 respectively (the breakpoints that trigger the form changes)
Replaced basic drone fight with a fight featuring Mechs and Heavy Drones
Fight with Knight, Priestess, and Ranger husks now has an additional Knight
