Hi everyone, so I lied, i guess one more hotfix update before V9.0. lol

BUGFIX - The "Put Out Fire" confirmation buttons on the campfire were sometimes not aligned and hard to click.
BUGFIX - Swapping weapons on the weapons rack would close the small HUD stats window when pressing G. The info window that show your health/stamina bottom right of your screen.
BUGFIX - If any AI stuck under ice on load or when you sleep, I do a check and now delete them.
BUGFIX - Could not snap fences on steep landscape.

CHANGE - Removed collision checks on fences, this will allow more freedom when placing them. You can now place them on foundations and clip through foundations. I also added X + Mouse wheel to increase or decrease height of fences when snapped. See below images for examples.

Hi everyone, more fixes and changes.

BUGFIX - Some caves would not allow the cart to enter it.
BUGFIX - Cart would sometimes get stuck in caves.
BUGFIX - Could not build Cart on steep landscape, the ground had to be almost entirely flat in order to build it.

CHANGE - More cave ore balancing. I found players would get too much Iron and Copper.

- Instead of 4 ores dropped, now only 3 will.
- Removed copper from drops and replace it with Stone, or Clay.
- Still a chance at Iron drops but much less.
- Slightly reduce overall boulder spawns.

Basically now, you are guaranteed to get 2 Lead Ores and the third will randomly be a Stone, Clay or Iron Ore.

So unless something game breaking, this will be the last hotfix for V8. I will now start working on V9.0 and will post a progress report like usual here on steam once I get a few things done.

Hi Everyone,

Just another small Hotfix update with a few changes and 1 addition.

BUGFIX - Medical Kit was not curing infections when used.
BUGFIX - I Think I resolved all scenarios where a log would get stuck in your hands.
BUGFIX - Removed some floating objects in towns and fixed a floating boulder.
BUGFIX - Katana would sometimes get stuck after swings.
BUGFIX - Loot quantity when harvesting Vambies would be larger than the possible stack amount.
CHANGE - Added copper to the possible drops of cave boulders.
CHANGE - Added a few more items to the loot list of harvesting dead Vambies.
CHANGE - Added Medical Bandage to the Medical Kit Recipe.
CHANGE - Added 2 new tutorial tasks, build a forge and craft an iron ingot. Many new players were getting frustrated not knowing how to acquire Iron Ingots.
CHANGE - Removed the pickup animation when picking up the first log. Many found it annoying having to wait and that delay was the cause of sometimes logs visually being stuck when in fact none were being held.
CHANGE - Updated all language cultures to include new tutorial task translations.

ADDED - Players can now also add storage chest to the cart. You can add up to 2 rock crates and 2 storage chests.

Please note: I needed to add a new field in a table to identify if players are adding crates or chests. The first time you load your game, if you have crates in the cart, they will be there but not attached to the cart. Simply move them away and replace them in the cart. This is only necessary the first time you load a file on V8.4.

Hi everyone, a few more fixes.

BUGFIX - Rain sound when snowing when you enter or exit caves in the winter.
BUGFIX - Using the Katana would sometimes block other weapons/tools from being able to be used.
BUGFIX - The AI was never intended to damage placeables such as chest, workbenches etc. In some circumstances they were and it is now fixed and should no longer happen.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for another update but found more issues to fix and resolve.

BUGFIX - Stackable foods with perish times was causing an issue in fridges, such as the new mushroom item. I have removed perish time from mushrooms and they no longer can go into fridges. Any mushrooms already in your inventory after this change will still show a perish time and any new ones acquired will not. I may add perish time back but for now I wanted a quick fix.

BUGFIX - Rain showing when in POI houses.

BUGFIX - Raccoon spawn rate was way to low and almost never seen, increased now.

BUGFIX - Cart would get stuck if trying to enter caves with it.

CHANGE - Dropped items on the ground with the exception of a few things like weapons and logs would despawn after 3 mins. I have changed the despawn time from 3 mins to 5 mins giving players a bit more time to perhaps go pick them up.

Hi everyone,

Just a small hotfix update following the launch of V8.0.

BUGFIX - Rain was visible sometimes in caves.
BUGFIX - Could not Alt/click Steel alloy and Lead Ore into forges.
BUGFIX - Mushrooms were added to the Ration food item but was missing that info in its craft description.
BUGFIX - I forgot to add mushrooms to the Itempedia, now added.

V8.0 is now Live!!

Please note that while a new game restart is not required, I would recommend starting a fresh save after installing this version of the game. The early flow of things has changed so much since the last forced restart in V5.0

AI Changes:

CHANGE - AI will no longer consistently run at players in a straight line, they will now sometimes try to dodge and zigzag to avoid projectiles.

New Content:

ADDED - Caves:

Caves will spawn various objects such as Mushrooms and Lead Ore boulders. There will be 4 caves on the map, 3 smaller ones and 1 very large one with 2 entrances. I have added cave markers on the map as I felt it almost impossible to find them otherwise.

Please remember that these caves are a work in progress and more objects and items will be added to them in time! So don't be alarmed if they seem a bit bare at present.






ADDED - Mushrooms: Used to craft medicines to cure infections and poison.
ADDED - Lead Ore Boulders: Spawned in caves.
ADDED - Lead Ore: Obtained by destroying boulders in caves.
ADDED - Lead Ingots: Created on forges by melting Lead Ore.

New early game melee weapon crafted with 1 stick and 1 iron ingot on the Anvil.




ADDED - Steel Fence Upgrade

The Cement fence can now be upgraded into Steel. Its durability will increase from 400 to 2,500.
4 Steel ingots required to upgrade.



ADDED - Log Cart can now be used to carry Stone Crates. 2 stone crates can be added to the cart.



ADDED - New injury type: Infected
ADDED - Medicated Bandage (Crafted on the workbench)

Players can now be infected when being attacked by animals and POIs. I have also created a new Medicated Bandage to cure infections.

1x Tallow

ADDED - Clay Soil: Extracted by the new Clay Soil Extractor.
ADDED - Clay Soil Extractor: Similar to the Mineral Extractor but extracts only Clay Soil. Can be placed anywhere on the ground, not only in extraction sites.

1) I have made the pillar legs of foundations and ramps much longer. This will allow players to build elevated bases, build over cliffs, over very steep landscape and many other possibilities.
2) Will now be able to place foundations in the water. Great for bridges over the river or simply building water bases.
3) Can now snap ramps together to create long staircases for elevated foundations.
4) can now snap foundations to ramps stairs.
5) Can now adjust snap height of foundations by pressing X and the mouse wheel. This will allow multi levels of foundations.










Bug Fixes:

BUGFIX - Moving damaged traps would restore its durability to 100%.
BUGFIX - Unbuilt/white ghost Wooden gates had collisions enabled, they should not have.
BUGFIX - Various french translations modified.
BUGFIX - Some items were spawning in walls or incorrect places in POI villages.

I would like to share the progress of V8.0!

Here is a running list of additions/changes that are completed so far for the upcoming V8.0 Update. This post will be updated every few days so be sure to keep an eye on it if you'd like to keep tabs on stuff coming down the pipeline.

A few more bug fixes and 1 change to spike traps.

BUGFIX - Large Forge was not generating heat for plant beds indoors, resulting in the plants dying in the winter.
BUGFIX - Some polish translation changes.
BUGFIX - AI would sometimes go idle if the player died and respawned on another bed in other base.
BUGFIX - Unbuilt White/Ghost image of the spike traps would damage the Vambies.

CHANGE - 20% chance that AI will break the spike traps and not be damaged.

New Content:

ADDED - Wooden Spike Traps: Vambies will slowly die when caught up in them.

- Animals will attack it like any other building section, only Vambies will get caught in them.
- Build Recipe: 1 Log, 4 Sticks and 1 Rope.




Changes:

CHANGE - Fence Snapping: Many have been asking for this to be a possible thing, it now is.
CHANGE - New Anvil mesh.
CHANGE - Reduced frequency of animal sounds from every 10 seconds to 25 seconds.





BUG FIXES:

BUG FIX - Iron Axe hitting tree stumps had a strange behaviour.
BUG FIX - Could not attack birds in a melee state like with and axe or spear.
BUG FIX - AI jump attack would sometimes hold the player even from far if the attack was a miss.
BUG FIX - Occasionally, the new AI would get stuck and go idle in swarm events. This would cause the event to only end at 4am because players could not kill the entire swarm.
BUG FIX - Could build second door in the door frames after a game reload.


Optimizations:

Optimization - Reduction of some normal texture resolutions sizes. Will help reduce Ram requirement.
