The two S.A.T. Operators Hibana and Echo of Red Crow Operation are now available! Discover the two new S.A.T. Operators, which you can unlock for 25,000 Renown or 600 R6 Credits each.
HIBANA
Born and raised in Nagoya, Japan, Imagawa is an expert at gaining entry in high risk areas. A skilled martial artist, she joined the National Police Academy when she was 18 years old. Nicknamed Hibana due to her explosive leadership on the field, she acquired a rare tactical versatility while training with the FBI SWAT and GIGN. A team player and expert at onrush tactics, she was recruited by the Aichi Prefectural Police Department Special Unit.
Partaking in a Special Operation conference in Jordan, Imagawa met Operator Jordan Trace, a pioneer in Brimstone BC-3 Exothermic experiments. She collaborated with him to develop the “X-KAIROS,” a 40 mm caliber launcher. The X-KAIROS fires explosive pellets that can be detonated simultaneously from a distance. Deliver innovative assaults by creating lines of sights, or new pathways.
Known as a natural prodigy in robotics, Masaru Enatsu grew up in Suginami City, Tokyo, the birthplace of several animation studios and technology companies. Enticed to test his devices on the field, he joined the National Police Academy. Specialized in Recon operations, he was recruited by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Special Unit before transferring to the Aichi Unit.
Wanting to circumvent ranged weapon limitations, Echo crafted Yokai, an unmanned hovering vehicle. Equipped with an acoustic hailing device, this signature drone can fire ultrasonic bursts that disorient all targets in a given perimeter. Yokai also transmits a video feed to Echo, who keeps his immediate perimeter secure. Embrace the power of technology and embody a turret Defender who can both hold up the siege and support roamers.

Improvements to Network Infrastructure Today we will be updating to our latest internal network library. This upgrade does not come without risks, but is a pivotal steps toward having a more reliable service, as well as give us the tools we need to correct connectivity issues more quickly. While this update will not correct all connectivity problems right now, the update to our infrastructure is aimed more towards preparing us for the road ahead. You will see a reduction in connectivity issues in future patches as we continue to utilize these improvements to positively impact your gaming experience!
As this is new technology that we are experimenting with, there is a possibility that we may be forced to perform a roll back to Patch 4.2. If this is the case, we will correct the issue and deploy the changes below in Patch 4.4, prior to the release of Season 4.
Caveira’s Interrogations Some players would exploit a bug that would prevent Caveira from successfully finishing an interrogation. She has received additional training and will now complete her interrogations regardless of whether or not an enemy player quits.

PC players looking for an inexpensive way to jump into Rainbow Six Siege no longer have to wait to get their fix. The Starter Edition offers the full Rainbow Six Siege experience, with all maps and Operators available, but unlocking new Operators works a little differently.
If you’re familiar with the Starter Edition from June, it is exactly the same as last time. For new players, those who buy the Starter Edition will immediately get access to two Operators, along with 600 R6 Credits to spend on two more Operators (or other unlocks) of their choice. The two initially available Operators are randomly chosen from a pool of six – Rook, Sledge, Ash, Fuze, Mute, and Smoke –determined to be the most intuitive for entry-level players. Additional operators can be unlocked in the Starter Edition by earning 12,500 renown (compared to 500-2,000 renown in the Standard Edition).
Aside from that difference, however, the Starter Edition includes access to the same maps, modes, level progression, weapon options, post-launch content, servers, and matchmaking options as the standard version, with zero restrictions and no level cap. The Starter Edition also works with the Season Pass, which grants immediate access to the eight post-launch Operators being added throughout 2016 (who are also available for 25,000 Renown or 600 R6 Credits each, which applies to both editions). Additionally, those who want to earn Operators a little more quickly can take advantage of the same Renown-boosting Daily and Weekly Challenges and weekly Operators discounts available to other players, and can purchase instant access to all 16 remaining Operators with a $35/€35 R6 Credits Bundle.
Those who buy it will retain full access to the Starter Edition and all its content after the limited sale period is over, letting you stay in the game as long as you want.
