After a long time waiting we finally were able to release the seamless update and we have been enjoying reading about your adventurers in the new Craftopia.
However, we are keenly aware that this update has brought its fair share of problems and we want to assure you that the team is doing everything they can to resolve these issues as soon as possible. There are some sleepless nights ahead but we want to make Craftopia a game that you can enjoy for a long time.
Among the issues with the update, we'd like to briefly update you on some of the serious ones:
1: GPU/CPU issues: We are aware that some users are experiencing problems with high CPU usage and GPUs running hot. We really appreciate all the bug reports you sent in and the information you provided about this issue. In the first hotfix, we fixed an issue that was causing high GPU and CPU usage in the main menu. We've identified some other factors that may still be causing issues in-game and we are hoping to have them fixed in an upcoming update. We understand that this is a priority and we are doing what we can to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
2: Japanese text in the English version and mistranslations: Due to a bug with our localization system, several instances of text defaulted to the Japanese version despite the game being set to the English version. We apologize for this and are doing our utmost to correct this as fast as we can. Also, due to the large amount of text in Craftopia, there are also some translations that may appear unusual or difficult to read. This is an ongoing effort and we will continue to work to correct these.
3: Multiplayer connectivity issues: The decision to not release the dedicated server alongside the update was a difficult one to make but unfortunately, it just wasn't ready in time. We know many players have been experiencing issues connecting to multiplayer p2p games and we are looking into measures we can take to mitigate these problems. Often these issues are a result of firewalls or ports but we are exploring options to ease these problems on our end.
There are more bugs and issues that we are aware of and we sincerely thank everyone for their bug reports and encourage you to continue sending us this info.
We will be rolling out more fixes and patches so please keep an eye out for those. Of course, we are also working on new content, new areas and new mechanics as the world of Craftopia will continue to grow! Please look forward to these updates and check out the roadmap we recently posted. We have big plans for Craftopia and we are looking forward to sharing them with you all.
Everyone here will keep working hard and as always, we thank you for your continued support.
◆ Newly Added Content - New items have been added. You can get ""Gigantes' Bow"" and ""Gigantes' Arrow"" from high-level Gigantes Ballista, and ""Gigantes' Halberd"" from high-level Gigantes Hoplon! Thank you so many users for enjoying Gigantes!
◆ Balance Adjustments - We have improved the laser reflection puzzle in ""Labyrinth of Torrent"" to make it easier to understand. - Adjusted the height and width to make it easier to ride the updraft in ""Hunter's Ruins"". - Adjusted the questing areas in the early quests to make it easier to understand. - Fixed UI etc. where some translations were not applied. In addition, if untranslated parts are found, we plan to make corrections one by one. - Reduced the number of lasers in the room in the Hunter's Ruins where the door closes when touched by a laser.
◆ Functional Improvements - The terrain of the starting point was revised. - Reduced instances of players being pushed by pets. - The position of the switch for disarming the barrier has been improved to make it easier to find. As a result of this adjustment, players who have already deactivated the barrier will also have their barrier restored. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please re-deactivate it if necessary. - Optimized the English names for ""Drilling"". Should now be easier to understand. - Optimized some of the English text in item descriptions and NPC conversations. Some translations are still using machine translation, but we are improving them.
◆ Network - We have added a workaround to the multiplayer connection UI to address the issues reported to us. We plan to address the connection difficulties separately.
◆ Bug Fixes - Fixed a bug where other players' stored energy (formerly ""drilling"") could be obtained during multiplayer. - Adjusted the price of the items which were sold at a wrong price in some villages. - Fixed a bug where the collision of a construction placed and removed in multiplayer remained. - Fixed an issue where treasure chests could not be opened in mutliplayer. - Fixed an issue where pet goblins were unable to attack properly. - Fixed a bug that prevented pet gremlins from attacking properly.
◆ Critical Bug Fixes and Improvements - Fixed a bug that you couldn't start a game after you closed the news window while the window was downloading the news.
◆ Functional Improvements - Added the function to display the dialogue if the function detects save data corruption while launching a game and restoring a save data from backups. - Adjusted the layout of the cave where a player character arrives when you start a game. - Modified the gimmicks of dungeons to make it clearer to understand.

We temporarily removed the unimplemented skills. Those skills will be available to use in later update. Please wait for it. - Reduced the issue that you would get stuck after using the skill ""Triple Slash"" in multiplayer. - Applied translations to some UI on which translations weren't properly displayed. There are still some UI which don't display translations. We're eagerly working on it. - Fixed a bug that made buildings, which were deployed onto Wooden Floors installed in the air, fall through the floors in the guest players game in Multiplayer.
◆ Functional Improvements - Adjusted the volume of the rain sound. - Adjusted the volume of the building sound effect.
◆ Bug Fixes - Fixed a bug that made tower restoration lag during multiplayer. - Fixed an issue where performing certain actions during the eating animation would break the model. - Fixed a bug that you could accidentally go underwater under specific conditions. - Fixed an issue where crystals appearing in Trials of Anubis could not be obtained. - Fixed a bug that caused the wrong wording to be displayed on the hint ""Slate"" in ""The Old Garden of the Dead"". - Fixed a bug where items in the stone furnace and blacksmith could not be collected in multiplayer. - Fixed a problem in multiiplayer where the starting point would sometimes be on the surface of the water. - Fixed a bug where translations were not applied correctly to some UI etc. due to a bug. In addition, it has been confirmed that some texts have not been translated, so this will be corrected in the near future. - Fixed a bug that GPU usage became too high on the home screen after a game launched. - Fixed a bug that some deployed buildings, such as Workbenches, Chests, Stone Furnaces, and Beds, were misplaced at fairly wrong positions in the guest players game in Multiplayer.
Dear players, thank you for your patience! We are thrilled to announce that Craftopia has just released the highly anticipated Seamless World Update today!
Experience a completely transformed Craftopia, born anew after two years of additional development. Explore a vast and brand-new world, engage in revamped combat with new techniques, conquer reworked dungeons, and enjoy the convenience of new automated facilities such as Pipelines. We invite you to enjoy the delights of Craftopia's evolution! (For those interested in transferring your progress from the old Craftopia, please refer to the following instructions.)
But that's not all! We have more exciting updates planned for the future. In July, we'll be releasing elements that narrowly missed the Seamless World update, such as the "Brigandine Valley" and new underground cave areas. Additionally, many features that we have been planning for a long time will be included in a major content update to be released in August!
Craftopia remains dedicated to advancing towards its official release, and we eagerly anticipate your continued support!
The "Seamless World Update" stands as our biggest update yet. It introduces an abundance of new content and mechanics. However, you may still find some bugs and balancing issues. Additionally, certain craft elements from the old Craftopia may not yet be available.
Please rest assured, we plan to address these points with the help of your feedback, by way of regular updates throughout the month of July. We kindly thank you for your patience and understanding.
Craftopia is an ever-evolving project, and we sincerely hope to co-create this game with all of you. Please feel free to share your feedback on Discord and other channels!
Now, let us delve into the exciting new features:
A Completely New Seamless World Bid farewell to the old islands as we present a striking new map, brimming with interconnected biomes that can be traversed seamlessly. Whether you embark on your adventure alone or alongside friends in multiplayer, Craftopia now offers a more enjoyable and comfortable gaming experience.
Revamped Combat System: "Shield Break" and "Power Attack" Unleash a precisely timed "Power Attack" to deplete a large chunk of the enemy's shield gauge, and gain a crucial advantage in battle. By keeping a watchful eye on the shield gauge, you can engage in strategic gameplay, resulting in deeper and more satisfying combat encounters.
Introducing the "Pipeline" and Enhanced Craft Automation Say hello to new crafting machines and facilities, empowering you to efficiently produce a greater number of items than ever before.
Completely Revamped Dungeons Prepare yourself for a complete overhaul of the dungeons. Experience new puzzles, mechanics, and challenges as you venture into these redesigned realms. Utilize your crafting skills to overcome the obstacles that await!
That's not all—various other elements have been added to enhance the gameplay experience.
Furthermore, let us offer a sneak peek at what's planned for July! Discover "caves" scattered throughout the world, leading to underground passages filled with valuable rewards.
In addition to that, our July update will introduce new areas and gradually unlock some craft elements from the old Craftopia.
After approximately three years since Craftopia's Early Access release, we believe we are getting closer to the Craftopia we envisioned from the start. While there is still work to be done, we are steadily progressing step by step. We hope to shape the best game possible alongside our incredible community!
We would like to provide you with instructions on how to transfer your Craftopia data to the Seamless World update.
Please note that after the Seamless World update, any newly created characters will have their progress reset when you perform the data transfer.
Make sure to complete the data transfer **before** progressing further in the Seamless World version. Please see the notes at the end for more details.
1. In the classic version of Craftopia, place the items you want to transfer into your character's inventory.
※ If you have already installed Seamless World, you can play the classic version of Craftopia by selecting the "Legacy" branch from the beta section within Craftopia's properties in your Steam library.
2. Launch Craftopia with the Seamless World update and select from the menu "Settings" → "Basic Settings" → "Transfer Data". ※ If the data transfer is successful, a dialog box will appear saying "Transfer completed."
3. Start the game and speak to the NPC "Transfer Maid Fam" located in the "Starting Village."
4. Move the "Transferred Items" to your own inventory.
◆ Important Notes
- Some of the transferred items may not function with the same performance as in the classic version of Craftopia. - Be careful when removing enchantments from the transferred items, as they cannot be restored. - You can perform the data transfer multiple times. If you forget to transfer certain items, you can try again. - To ensure a smooth data transfer and avoid any issues, please be aware that if you play the Seamless version first and then perform the transfer, newly created characters will be deleted, and any Seamless World progress for characters will be overwritten with fresh data, resetting their progress to the starting point. Please perform the data transfer first, then start playing Seamless World.
Thank you for your continued support of Craftopia.
Hello everyone! Craftopia's largest update ever, the "Seamless Update" is scheduled to release on June 27! (Japan time)
Craftopia is still in early access, so we need your feedback, especially after the release of this update. As this is the largest update we have ever done, there are bound to be some balancing issues or bugs so we would appreciate it if you could report bugs and provide feedback when possible.
Please note that this update will initially only apply to the Steam version. The Xbox version will be updated at a later date.
We plan to do regular updates to the game every 2 weeks, as well as larger content updates, so stay tuned!
(Please understand that we may need to delay it by a couple of days if any serious issues appear before then)
