Dear Pathologists!

We know it's been a while since we last posted anything. We were very busy releasing our very first game and it took most of our time 😱

Don't worry, this does not mean we did not work on Autopsy Simulator at all 😎
Quite the opposite! Our Autopsy team has worked tirelessly to make sure we can keep providing you with some good sneak peaks 💀☠💀☠💀

Well... in our last devlog, you had a chance to meet our female model. Do you remember her?

We know she gained your sympathy right away so we decided to inroduce another 'burning' model of ours 🔥🔥🔥

Can you tell why he's on our autopsy table? 🤔
Is the cause of death really THAT obvious or does he have any secrets?
You will be the one to determine that and meet him 'in person' in our dissecting room!

One more thing, my dear pathologists... Did you know that 'running the bowels' is considered the dirtiest job if it comes to performing autopsy? It is nothing but opening the intestines by slitting them horizontally. Both small and large intestines have a total length of 25 feet (7.6 meters), so cutting them open is not a quick and easy task.

To sum up, we would like to thank you for being patient with us. We know you are wiggling your toes to hear some more hot news 😎
Stay tuned !

Kind regards,
Woodland Games Team

Dear Pathologists,

Time for a mini update about Autopsy Simulator... 💀
Let's start with the name! We would like to ask you today, should our game which combine two models - a story-based game and a simulator - still be called Autopsy Simulator? Or maybe just: Autopsy?

What do you think? Let us know in the comments!

Second thing…
In the first chapter, you will have a chance to perform the first autopsy, but also to get to know our main character and his apartment. This will be part of the demo. Yes - demo. And what is important, we are just putting it together, which means that we are closer than further to be able to show you a part of our game. Lovely news, isn't it? 😉

Finally, a few concepts that we used to build the game world:

Hello Pathologist!

Time for a mini update on Autopsy Simulator! 💀
On Discord, you asked us if there would be other bodies or just one... 🤔
We would like to assure you that there will be more of them, and as a proof one of the models that we are just implementing into the game:

We know that the causes of death are interesting to you, so today there is one - a little - foretaste. In one of the scenarios you will meet a "drowned man" - the cause of death seems clear in this case - but you have to determine whether it was:
- a suicide,
- a murder
- or maybe an accident?

In this case, a visual inspection of the body is also a must have, and every clue (even a small scratch!) is importance for solving the criminal case 😉

We will not tell you more, because any such SPOILER will spoil your fun! 😉

Finally, today we want to introduce you to some concepts from places other than the morgue!
Yes, yes - sometimes you will have to go beyond the "safe" walls of the morgue! For example, when Jack wants to go home 😉

Finishing today's devlog...
Do you know what is the most important tool in the coroner's work?
EYES! 👁👁👁👁👁👁 You will find out by solving some of the cases in #AutopsySimulator!

Hello Pathologists!

Today shortly, because the job has to be done, so all hands on board :D

Today we want to tell you about the locations. Yes, yes Autopsy Simulator will not only be in the morgue!
If you follow our devlogs, you know that our game is a combination of a simulator and a story - you will be able to decide what you want. Of course, we hope that you will like both versions, but we strongly encourage you to choose the story version as well.

Why?

Well, we anticipated a bit of horror. Because how is it like that - a game with slicing bodies, and there is not even a gram of horror here? NO WAY! Of course, the horror is supposed to be moderate, but… we'll add something from ourselves! 😉 In the story version, you will also have the opportunity to visit several locations that are also located outside the autopsy room.

Oh look for yourself:

Although we must admit that we have placed the most in buildings - after all, we spend the most time in them. We didn't quite know how to choose the right climate, so we decided on a bit of dirt - we know that modern autopsy rooms look a bit different (sometimes better than hospitals!), But we are not New Amsterdam, but only a small, forgotten morgue in which we try to find answers to questions bothering everyone...

At the end, we have some news for you - probably good :D We are going to start soon with a series of interesting facts. You will find out why you ALWAYS perform an autopsy on children, what is the most important tool of the coroner, and... how to recognize the time of death.

Don't forget our Discord

Hello Pathologists!

Soon it will be a month since our project was updated... Time to catch up on it 😉 Before we start the show "Camera among the dead", something about what we have already done, what else will be done and of course what you can expect in Autopsy Simulator.

First of all: body parts.

Our reliable 3D graphic designer has prepared several models of body parts especially for you. We know that you love them - so do we 😉 Because we come to you as always full of love, today we will start with a bloody heart ❤

But Autopsy Simulator wouldn't be a good game without a good script 😉 Today we present you a little excerpt:

- [sleepy] Christ, what a dream. I overslept? Probably not.
Jack finds a black and white picture of Alice on the nightstand. The photo has a mourning black ribbon on the corner.
- Hi, honey. I think it's time to put you in a drawer... Yes, you will be better here.
While hanging around the apartment, Jack finds a photo together with Alice and her brother Steven. All three of them are young, wearing coats.
- Studies. Hours later I had a fight with the door and barely made it home. Eh... Those were the times...
There is a second photo in the hall - this time Jack is only in it with Steven. They sit at the bar table and smile.
- Memorable "Evening of Disbelievers." You didn't believe I was hitting on Alice. Me, I'll have a cop for my brother-in-law. We almost had a fight then.

Be ready for more… soon 😉

In the comments - especially on Facebook - you ask us if this game will give you a choice: a mini horror game or just a simulator. Yes, if you do not like horror stories, because they do not make you feel relaxed, we assure you that in Autopsy Simulator you will have the option of which type of game you prefer 😉

Although we definitely recommend the story versions - it's really not that scary 😉 Well, maybe a little bit 😉

Finally, a little about the work progress itself:

- we are constantly working on the graphics: we want both individual parts of the body and rooms to be refined. We have the most work to do with details such as decorations. For most people these details are the most important in the game 😉

- we refine the script - we improve dialogues and selection options

- mechanics - we have added various types of deaths to the game that you will have to discover in order to advance to the next missions. However, how it will work will remain a mystery for now (wait for the demo!). In addition, it also implements items into the game that you will be able to view and that will be a hint for you.

Here are some sceenshots for GOOD NIGHT 👻👻👻

Hello Pathologists!
Today we have some news for you 😊
The most important thing - DEMO! We know that you are waiting for such news! So listen up: we've just started internal testing! We still have a few things to do - first of all, to fix bugs that arose after applying the mechanics.

Here are some illustrations from Autopsy Simulator:

Speaking of the demo, we will also start official tests in some time. We will definitely let you know, because we will need support in this topic 😉

Finally: Autopsy Simulator is a combination of a classic simulator and a horror story. As players, you will have the option to choose whether you want to play by solving puzzles or just be a virtual pathologist.

A few things remain to be corrected and implemented, but we are closer than further, so keep an eye out for information here and on our discord ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I see dead people...

…ok, it means that you've come to the right place 😉 Today, dear coroners, some information about dead bodies is uploading to our devlog 😉 After completing the work on the room, it's time to pamper our deceased. It is not easy, because our pathologist, who is our consultant, is... demanding! Very much demandind :P So we had to refine some of the models (you know - brain too little brain, heart too Valentine's Day and etc.).
Fortunately, we have Kasia in the team - we've already told you about her before. We love reading her assignments:
- fat model to replenish the body
- creating a nail model affected by mycosis
:D Sounds funny, but Kasia has to do veeeeery thorough research :P Looking at the references, we are not surprised that she does it before dinner 😉 Below are some graphics from body work that will eventually be on the autopsy table:

Today we will also share with you two organ models: the brain and the trachea. We hope they won't scare you!

Finally - the table. Yes, everything that we showed you above must be placed in this room, which, as you can see, is almost ready 😊

Remember to join our discord! And more information about the Autopsy - soon 😊

…Jack is pacing the kitchenette. He's on a phone call.
Jack: ... I know, I know. Mhm.
Jack: Okay. Well, as I say. Now I really have to get back to work.
Jack takes pills to calm down. He heads to the autopsy room. He is preparing a camera - he will be recording didactic material for students. Enables recording.
Jack: Good morning, dear students. My name is Jack Hanman, and I'll show you an expertly performed autopsy. I will conduct it myself and include a commentary that gives a forensic context, because I know that you are most interested in it...

Hello Pathologist!

Yes, this is the start of our Autopsy Simulator demo Scenario! Of course, before the editorial correction 😇 And if we already create dialogues, it means that our story with demo production is slowly coming to an end. Yes, yes - we are preparing a small demo for you, thanks to which you will be able to judge for yourself how much Autopsy Simulator fits into your gaming style 😉

Of course, we are still working on the graphics and continue to refine the game from the programming side. Avoiding mistakes while working is almost impossible, so there's still a lot of tinkering ahead :D Even in our screens you can see one 🙃

This does not mean that we cannot promise you anything... So, dear autopsy lovers, the Autopsy Simulator will be available... In the end of this year! Of course demo will be first, but that will be our surprise :D

So stay tuned and join our DISCORD😊

Hello Pathologists!

We are coming back to you today with the tools... Autopsy tools 😉 It turns out that the equipment of the coroner's studio is not so minimalistic as we thought. Yes, the design of the tools is not unique (although, we must admit that when we were checking how these tools look live, we were a bit surprised that some of them have something from the work of art 😉), but their mapping was not so obvious 😉
Today we present you the mortuary equipment - yes, you will use these elements while playing Autopsy 😅
Before you guess what they are for (and we assure you that each has a different application!), we will ask - which one did you like the most and which would you like to work with the longest?

Autopsy Simulator will soon enter the next phase of production. After a very detailed mortuary equipment, the organs are next 🧠
Yes, yes - it will be fun. Some of our team follow the work description of our 3D graphic artist who meticulously formulates her time sheet: the formation of brain tissue or the cross-section of the nail after consuming cyanide under a microscope 😉
We hope that apart from The Autopsy itself, you will also like our story. For now, we invite you to our discord, where we will be happy to answer ALL your questions:

Regards,
Woodland Games
