During the Limited Preview of Volta-X held on Steam earlier this month, we promised anyone that picked up the full game after participating in either of the two early play sessions would get an exclusive skin for our beloved elephant, Sheldon. Some of you have asked just how you get your hands on that skin. All you have to do is keep reading to find out just what we need from you to make that happen.
Case 1: Used the Same Steam Account for Beta/Preview and to Purchase Volta-X
If you played Volta-X’s Beta or Limited Preview on Steam and then purchased the game on that very same Steam account, you don’t have to do anything. We’ll send your exclusive skin through the in-game messaging system. If by chance you didn’t get it yet though, please reach out to us through direct message on our Twitter at @voltaxgame.
Case 2: Played in Beta/Preview but Purchased on Nintendo Switch
If you played the Beta or Limited Preview on Steam, but decided to purchase Volta-X on the Nintendo Switch, we’ll need you to provide some information. Direct message us on Twitter at @voltaxgame with your Steam ID from the pre-release session, [additional information may be needed], along with your in-game Account ID (which can be found in the Settings menu, as explained below).
Case 3: Played in Beta/Preview but Purchased on Different Steam Account
If you played the Beta or Limited Preview on Steam under one account, but then bought the game on a different account, we’ll need a little information. You’ll have to direct message us on Twitter at @voltaxgame the Steam ID you originally played under, [additional info might be needed too], and then provide the Steam ID and in-game Account number in order for us to send you the skin. Your Volta-X in-game Account can be found in the Settings menu, as explained below.
Finding Your Steam ID
Log into Steam.
Once logged in, click on your username in the top right corner, and then click "View Profile". Your Steam ID should be at the very top, shown in a link like this: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/XXXXXXXXXXXX
Copy your link, you can provide us with the unique number at the end of the URL.
I Can't See a Link on my Profile
Open up Steam and log in.
In the top left corner, click on "Steam", then under that menu, click on "Settings".
Once in Settings, a box with options will show up. Look up and click "Interface".
Find the option "Display Steam URL address bar when available" and check the box.
Hit OK to save these changes, and your Steam Profile link will now be visible at the top of the Steam window. Then follow the steps listed above.
But I've Set Up a Custom URL and Don't Have a Number String
Log in to your Steam account.
Click on your username in the top right corner, and then click "View Profile".
On your profile page, select "Edit Profile".
Scroll down to "Custom URL" and delete the profile URL you've set.
Scroll down, hit "Save Changes".
Return to your profile page, and your profile URL will have your assigned Steam ID.
Finding Your Volta-X Account ID
Open Volta-X in Steam or on your Switch.
Open the "Settings" on the main menu.
Your Volta-X User ID will be right at the top, and is a nine-digit code.
If you’ve done any or all of that, we will be able to verify your account standing, and get you that sweet Sheldon skin within a few days of submitting all that information. We hope you’re enjoying Volta-X in the meantime, and wish you success on your quest to climb the ranks of the World Volta Association.
Volta-X is finally here, pilots! Today is the day where your career in the World Volta Association truly begins. After completing a Beta and a Limited Preview, we’ve taken in some of the feedback provided by the community in an effort to strengthen Volta-X at launch. We want your experience in the world of Volta-X to be the best it can be, and hope you’ll appreciate this first round of adjustments to the overall experience. We’re still hard at work on continuing the improvements, and can’t wait to hear more from you about making Volta-X better.
Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the improvements made since Beta/Limited Preview. We’ll see you in the arena, pilots.
General
Enabled additional visual effects to increase the overall fidelity of the game on PC.
Smoothed over various UI and battle animation issues reported by players.
Added more visual indicators to the Headquarters UI to better help the player understand when things require their attention.
Added SteelSeries GameSense support.
Added time limits to qualifier battles.
Fixed bugs causing some Steam achievements to not trigger properly.
Fixed a bug where Volta special attack animations were sometimes not visible.
Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes become non responsive when viewing certain replays.
Input
Added mouse input as a confirmation option for most screens and menus.
Improved highlight responsiveness when using the mouse to select UI elements.
Added the ability to use the mouse to click on crew members who are moving throughout the Headquarters and open their assignment windows.
Added scroll wheel functionality on most screens to help navigation on PC feel more natural.
Streamlined the input mapping for PC to eliminate the need for players to have to use the keyboard in combination with the mouse when navigating some screens and menus.
Updated the button hint display when using a controller to dynamically display based on the controller type and locale settings currently being used.
Updated tutorial dialogue to dynamically express button hints based on your most recently used input device.

Beginning on August 7 at 5PM PDT, and running through August 8 at 9PM PDT, players will have a chance to experience the incredible world of Volta-X on Steam ahead of the game's launch on August 12.
Take part in Volta-X's thrilling real-time strategy battles as you try to climb the ranks of the World Volta Association. Make opponents tremble at the sight of your mighty Volta, customized to your exact specifications for victory. Strategy in battle is key as players manage firing off weapons and commanding their team of Volta pilots to power-up weapons, repair their Volta, or extinguish fires. It takes quick reflexes and strong decision-making to take down your opponent in the game’s fast-paced combat.
Engage with your crew through dramatic story moments, and get to know them better in your customized headquarters. Players can customize their headquarters with research facilities to create specialized equipment and construct rooms to relax in such as the cinema and garden to help the pilots get the most out of their day. Portions of the story mode and the headquarters will be available during the Limited Preview, as well as 1-on-1 battling against other players.
Players who participated in the previous Beta event will also be able to return without requesting a new code, and will retain all progress already unlocked.
Please note that the number of keys is limited. Keys must be requested by 8/5/2020 11:59PM PDT. Though keys will be delivered in advance, the game will not be playable until 5PM PDT on 8/7/2020. Progress on Limited Preview accounts will not transfer to future accounts. Limited Preview may not be available in all territories.

Portions of the story mode and the headquarters will be available during the Beta, as well as 1-on-1 battling against other players. Join us on the battlefield and prove your mettle as a pilot!
