The Creators Club Beta is the home of player customisation in Train Sim World 2. Personalise your rail journey with easy-to-use tools, the Livery Designer and Scenario Planner give you everything you need to take control of how your locos look and what they do. You can also now share your work with all players around the world on any platform. To get started launch the game and check out the Creators Club Beta, available from the routes screen.


After the free update goes live, the Creators Club Beta will be accessible from the initial menu for all players. You'll find a new “Creators Club Beta” button below the route selection carousel. Simply select this to enter the Club. You will need to be signed in to a Dovetail Live account to enter, if you are not signed in you will be prompted to either Register or Sign In when selecting Creators Club.


When you first enter the Creators Club Beta you will find a variety of options allowing you to explore mods by other Club members to subscribe to and the My Mods area where you can share your creations.

• HUB – This is the Creators Club home. Here you will find livery and scenario mods that are either Featured (hand-picked by Dovetail Games), Most Popular (high subscriber counts), or Most Recent (mods that have been uploaded recently). Use this page to discover mods created by the community to subscribe to and try out.
  
• LIVERIES – If it is just livery mods you want, head to this area of the Creators Club Beta. This will show you the most popular and recently uploaded mods made using the Livery Designer tool.
  
• SCENARIOS – Looking for a new challenge or different way to play your favourite route? In this area of the Creators Club Beta you can find the most popular and recently uploaded mods using the Scenario Planner tool.
  
• SUBSCRIPTIONS – This is where you can find all of the livery or scenario mods you have subscribed to. Everything you subscribe to will appear in this list, giving you an easy way to manage your subscriptions or find more mods from your favourite creators.
  
• MY MODS – Here you can add your own livery and scenario mods to the Creators Club. Find out more about how to do this later on in this article.

When selecting a mod on the Creators Club Beta you will find additional information about that creation on the individual mod page. Here you can see Railfan Shots taken by the creator, relevant tags that have been assigned (eg. Diesel, USA, etc), the size of the mod, number of subscribers, date of upload and a short description. If you like what you see and want to try it out, all you need to do is hit “Subscribe to download” and it will be added to your subscriptions. If you don't own an Add-On required, you will also be told here.


Liveries and scenarios are created in the same way as before, using the Livery Designer and Scenario Planner in game tools. When you have created something you want to share with the world in the Creators Club Beta, you can head to the My Mods area to submit your work. Sharing is not automatic, you choose what to upload and when. To do this you will need to name your mod, select suitable tags, give it a short description and add a minimum of three Railfan Shots showing your mod in action. Once complete your mod can be uploaded to the Club for all to try out across all platforms.

Please note there are restrictions on what brands can be used with the Creators Club Beta. You can find a full list on the official FAQ. Time to start creating, we can't wait to see what you make!

Train Sim World 2: New Journeys Expansion is available now!

Start a new journey and revisit the incredible routes featured in Trains Sim World 2 from a whole new perspective with a new expansion!

Today we take our first look at the new pack that is coming soon for Train Sim World 2, the New Journeys Expansion. This expansion gives each of the original routes from Train Sim World 2 something new. In this first look, we will be delving deeper into the New Journeys content that is coming to the popular Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen.

In its current form, Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen has two of the most iconic units that feature on the route in real life, the DB BR 406 ICE 3M EMU and DB BR 442 EMU ‘Talent 2’, these services allow you to simulate both highspeed international and regional services. The New Journeys Expansion enhances this duo with the inclusion of the DB BR 423 EMU.



This modern commuter Electric Multiple Unit is perfectly suited to the stop-start nature of the busy and consistent Commuter S12 and S19 services it simulates and offers an entirely new driving experience. With a total of 194 playable services of which 80 of these are brand new, there is plenty for you to enjoy. This significantly increases Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen’s already busy timetable and will immerse you in the hustle and bustle of Western German Suburban commuting, coupled with the recently added Rush Hour features you will find plenty of passengers waiting for you as you wind your way across the route.




The simulation of S12 services around Köln means the closer you get to the city the busy it gets. If you wish to explore the entire route from the cab of a DB BR 423 EMU, we have included the once-a-day S19 service which runs the full length of the line from Aachen into Köln early each morning. You will have plenty of opportunities for interesting Railfans shots as you head towards the rising sun and your final destination of Köln.



For those of you already familiar with Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen, fear not. We have retained the original timetable and all of the original layers too, giving you the freedom to play the route how you wish and incorporating existing layers you have already been enjoying seamlessly.



Over the coming weeks, we will continue to reveal more of the new content you can look forward to as part of the upcoming Train Sim World 2: New Journeys Expansion. The pack adds new scenarios, services and journeys to Bakerloo Line, Schnellfahrstrecke Köln - Aachen and Sand Patch Grade. You can also look forward to liveries for the the 1972 Stock, SD40 and the new loco with the DB BR 423 included.

As hundreds of railfans before, you stand at the trackside fence waiting to see that gradual plume of smoke appear in the distance. A sense of wonderment and anticipation builds as your perseverance is rewarded.

During the Railfan Fest 2021 we made an exciting announcement for Train Sim World 2. Since then we have been working on an exciting project called Spirit of Steam to bring the thunderous power of steam engines to the simulation.
