New Content
Tier 12
Tier 12 is finally here! If your Research Scroll stocks allow, you can look forward to crafting a new mythical and highly valuable blueprint from each item type (minus enchantments and stones… for now). Excalibur, Blackbeard’s Cannon, The Vermilion Guard armor set, or even the Philosopher’s Stone are now within reach!

This new set of items also includes a Tier 12 Mundra Potion, Mundra’s Remedy! Familiars shouldn’t drink that one!

True Sigils
Alongside Tier 12 comes new sigils, required to craft just about all of these highly powerful items. The Sigil of True Might, Grace and Spark are remarkably difficult to create… have you been hoarding epic items? Or even legendaries...?

In actuality, they’re only a small step above their lesser cousin, instead requiring a Tier 7 Flawless item in exchange for 4 True Sigils. The Tier 11 sigils of old have also received an update making them easier to fuse, read more on that below.

Extended Ascension Milestones
The Ascension Milestones for all item types (save for enchantments and stones) just got an upgrade! Ten new reward tiers have been added, offering upgrades such as reduced energy cost to Rush, reduced surcharge energy cost (Tier 11 and 12) and a chance to refund lesser sigils upon crafting T11 items.

Alongside this, we’ve revised and upgraded the appearance of the Ascension Milestones interface. We’ve also shuffled the titles around to make space for the new milestones, as the rank of “Titan” can only be held by one who has completely maxed out a line. This is a purely visual change.

New Dungeon
The Cinderlake Volcano is the new hotspot for components! Are you a bad enough dude to defeat the Crushtaceans within and steal their valuable components?

This new quest location is available for gold starting at level 65, costing 1 billion gold.

Tower of Titans Epsilon
The Epsilon tower challenge will be available for players of level 67 and up. On top of an increased challenge, players can look forward to powerful bosses, all of them packing 3 random modifiers.

Lost City of Gold Extension
With the next Opulent item being Tier 12, the number of Pure Gold required to earn it has increased. It is now located at Milestone 27, requiring 80k Pure Gold to claim.

In addition, we’ve updated the dungeon’s quest difficulties slightly. In an effort to make each step more significant (and save space), Difficulty 2 and 5 have been removed. In exchange, the difficulty preceding them (1 and 4) inherited their Pure Gold rewards. This should also make working your way through the Golem Bosses quicker and more impactful.

A new difficulty has also been added (now 11), much more difficult than the previous ones, but of course more rewarding.

With these changes in mind, be mindful when sending your parties during the next event.

Major Changes
Elemental Barriers
The craftiest, toughest monsters in the dungeons have learned a new trick! Denizens of the Cinderlake Volcano, as well as Extreme difficulty monsters, are now equipped with a magical Barrier. This barrier is very strong, but always has a weakness to an element.

So long as the barrier is active, monsters will resist 80% of incoming HP damage. Heroes of the matching element will deal damage to this barrier, equal to their own elemental score. Reducing the barrier’s HP to 0 will destroy it, allowing full damage to be dealt, so it’s well worth packing as much of the matching element as possible to destroy it ASAP!

Future Epsilon towers will also feature Elemental Barriers on some monsters. However, since players may be busy updating their Hero roster to tackle this new challenge, this month’s Tower will not feature any Elemental Barriers.

Champion Elements
With the monsters learning new tricks, Champions have risen up to the challenge to help! All Champions now have an Element, too! Starting at Rank 5, Champions will earn their first Elemental score, which will steadily keep rising until Rank 10. Enchanted familiars can increase this further.

Since Champions have no skills (aside from their leader skill, which rises with ranks), their Element serves to help against Elemental Barriers. Bringing the right Champion on a quest can make a difference!

Here are the Champions and their respective elements:
  • Argon: Light
  • Lilu: Water
  • Sia: Air
  • Yami: Dark
  • Rudo: Fire
  • Polonia: Water
  • Donovan: Fire
  • Hemma: Dark
  • Ashley: Earth

Collection Book Table of Contents
As requested by the community, the Collection book now has a new page to keep track of your overall collection. From there, you can have a good idea of how well your total collection fares, such as percentage completion for weapons, accessories, or overall completion.

These statistics can be arranged to either display completion based on the blueprints you own, or based on the content currently available in the game.

Minor Changes
Spellblades
Spellblades, with their “All” element, can damage any elemental barrier. In exchange for this unparalleled flexibility, their Barrier damage is only 30% of their full Element score.

Extreme Quests
Extreme quests just got trickier. All monsters from these quests now have an Elemental Barrier.

To compensate for this stricter party composition requirement, we’ve also made Extreme quests in general a bit easier.

Misc Changes
  • Added a Critical Hit bonus to Mundra’s Hornbow.
  • The progress bubble shown on blueprints in the crafting list no longer includes items being fused, only those being crafted.
  • The scroll for Lost City of Gold blueprints now has its own unique look.
  • When running Lost City of Gold quests, only the first three completed quests of each event will show the reward progress (to ensure all players know how it works). Following that, it will only be shown if a reward is unlocked.
  • Mundra the Moon Dragon and Evelyn the Scholar will now bring more and better Stones when they visit your shop. In addition, Evelyn will also sometimes sell Wands instead of Runestones.

Balance Changes
  • Added new levels to the Emerald Inn and the Tavern to support the new dungeon. Also reduced the required investments a bit for those later levels.
  • Reduced the amount of crafts required to upgrade and master Tier 11 items.
  • Sigils of Might, Grace and Spark now require a Tier 6 Superior item to fuse (originally Flawless), resulting in 2 Sigils. The other costs have also been reduced.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue causing some item tooltips to show an item as available to donate, despite already being part of your collection.
  • Fixed Familiar stats display not updating properly after enchanting when expected.
  • Fixed various locations where a blank secondary skill effect appeared for Heroes.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed users to repeatedly open the Store screen while it was already opened.
  • Fixed an issue with Guild Perks improperly deducting more than expected Renown when rapidly purchased.
  • Fixed missing SFX for Xolotl Spirit and Quetzalcoatl Spirit when enchanting an item.
  • Fixed Wallace coming to the player's shop informing them their guild is inactive, regardless of guild activity level.
  • Fixed Ashley’s skill also doubling quest speed bonuses from other sources, such as quest upgrades and guild boosts.
  • Fixed Guild Finder appearing as empty for all players.
  • Fixed an issue causing Quest Outlook faces to be inconsistent when selecting characters VS when placed in the quest.

New Champion
A mysterious Samurai was just spotted in town. Shopkeepers at level 33 or higher may see her pay them a visit shortly. You’ve got what it takes to catch her attention, yeah?

Ashley is a Fighter type Champion well suited for any party. She provides small bonuses to her team’s Attack, Defense and Quest Speed. She’s not really trying, though. Ashley wants a challenge, preferably a lethal one. When facing off against bosses, all of her Leader Skill bonuses are doubled!

Extreme Dungeon Difficulty
A new difficulty level has been added to all dungeons. It can only be unlocked by maxing out a dungeon’s level.

In terms of difficulty, Extreme ramps up quite significantly. While early Extreme dungeons won’t be much of a challenge for experienced players, some of the later dungeons bulk up harder than even the Harpy Matriarch. Extreme monsters also have 20% accuracy by default, decreasing the evasion chance of opposite Heroes, and slightly increasing their Critical Hit rate against Heroes with negative evasion. Prepare adequately if you don’t want your socks blown off, and may the Goddess have mercy upon your souls if you run into a Miniboss.

In terms of rewards, Extreme dungeons drop more stuff overall, with some of the later ones even dropping Tier 11 items occasionally. Extreme bosses also have increased Key drop chances.

Major Changes
Guild Improvements
Guild Finder
Improved the algorithm. This should allow the system to find more appropriate guilds for early game players.

Keep in mind the system avoids showcasing inactive guilds, so if you have a lot of inactive players, you may want to kick some of them.

Automated Guildmaster Replacement
Guildmasters that fail to login for 2 weeks will be automatically demoted to Officer and have their Guildmaster status given to the oldest Officer in the guild. If no Officers are suitable, it will be selected among regular members.

Sleepy Guildmates
On the guild screen, guild members who have been inactive for more than a week will be shown sleeping at their desk. This is a purely visual effect, but may help guild leadership keep better track of their guild’s activity.

Friendly Wallace Advice
If the game detects that your guild is inactive, Wallace may decide to come in for a visit and recommend looking for a new one.

You’re free to ignore him! He will respect your decision, though he may come back again 2 weeks later if the situation hasn’t improved.

Minor Changes
  • Worker visitors will now only bring items for which they are the primary worker for. No more heavy armor tailored by Julia! Theodore and Sondra remain unchanged due to their special circumstances.
  • The fusion screen now displays the fusion time of crafts.
  • Ascension Score and Collection Score have been added to the guild leaderboard.
  • It is now possible to view all the tiers of a Content Pass’ task.
  • Players can now access the T11 seasonal offers so long as they own a T9 blueprint unlocked with research scrolls. Previously, Enchantments, Moonstones and Runestones did not count.

Balance Changes
  • Reduced gold requirement for Daily Piggy Banks.
  • Increased the gold cost to create a guild to 10k gold (from 2500).
  • Reduced the friendship point requirement for most guild friendship levels.
  • By Ashley’s request, effects that activate when facing bosses now apply against minibosses as well.
  • Tweaked the gem cost of a few Hero slots.
  • The Engineer is now available starting at level 23 (from 31).
  • Polonia now becomes available at level 26 (from 25).

Bug Fixes
  • Guild requests will now only generate a notification from within the market window.
  • Fixed LCOG spirits having an extra empty effect in their description.
  • Fixed an issue where the user’s name would not be properly highlighted on some leaderboards.
  • Fulfilling Champion offers will now count towards Sell tasks.
  • Fixed a bug involving equipping Familiars to Champions during the Tower of Titans event.
  • Fixed the fusion list not being properly ordered (again).
  • Fixed a bug where Moonstone and Runestone crafts could count towards Quality craft tasks.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when using hotkeys to navigate the Antique Store.
  • Fixed Haunted Castle boss simply standing there menacingly instead of playing attack animations.
  • Fixed tiers for components appearing on Customer bubbles.
  • Added missing stat to the First Morning Star mace.
  • Fixed On The House! Token granting more energy than intended.

New Content
Year of the Tiger Content Pass
The Content Pass is back! You’ll have 2 weeks to complete tasks and collect Mandarins to unlock some hot content, including the all-new Tiger Spirit blueprint!

Alongside this new exclusive bundle, content from the 2020’s Lunar New Year pack will also be available! Alternate rewards will be offered to players who already own these items.

New Tiger Pet
Exclusive to the Year of the Tiger Content Pass! This fierce, diminutive tiger is ready to laze around your shop. Petting the belly is NOT advised.

On the House! Discount Token
The counterpart of the Limited Edition token, this item allows you to double discount an item of your choice, making it completely free!

In exchange for this generosity, you’ll get 10x of the item’s discount energy value!

Champion Stories
New Champion stories have been added for Argon and Yami, concluding their respective storylines. Both stories are interconnected, so make sure to read both!

Major Changes
XP Drinks
XP gained from XP drink can now bypass the Hero level limit set by your Training Hall.

Titan Classes
Some Titan classes have received an upgrade to their innate skill.

Lord (Knight)
Once per battle, a Lord will protect an ally from an attack that would be lethal, taking the damage for themselves. Lords don’t protect each other though, honor and stuff.

Mercenary (Soldier)
As apt second-in-command, Mercenaries now receive greater benefits from Champion skills. This bonus only applies to the Mercenary, however. As an example, they would receive more Defense and Evasion from Polonia, but would not increase the steal chance or maximum amount of items stolen.

Spellknight (Spellblade)
The clownsuit experts have discovered a newfound affinity for items with innate elements (i.e items from chest that come with a built-in element) and will receive a +50% stat bonus from them.

Advanced Inventory Search
Following popular demand, we’ve added advanced item searching options to the player’s inventory, similar to what is used for the market.

Sigils
Might, Grace and Spark Sigils will now rarely drop from a few select quests. This is a new drop category, so they can appear alongside miscellaneous rewards such as gems, keys, and item bundles. They are not affected by Sia’s leader skill or loot boosters.

Sigils can drop from the following quests:
  • Bleakspire Peak (all difficulties)
  • Tower of Titans (Delta)
  • Lost City of Gold (11-12, regular and boss)

Minor Changes
  • Added extra Familiar animations when a party is sent on a quest.
  • Reworked the King’s Caprice task generation. It should now offer a more pronounced variety and avoid demanding more than 1 premium item line at the same time.
  • Item tiers are now visible on customer sale bubbles.
  • Renamed the Quetzalcoatl bow to Quetzal Wing.
  • It is now possible to access the Hero Hire screen even if you own all the Hero slots.
  • Made it possible to more rapidly tap through Grab Bag opening animations.
  • Updated some Champion class names depending on their current story progression.
  • Yami’s familiars now have different nicknames if her story is completed.
  • Improved the Quest Outlook logic to prevent the same party from generating different faces under the same circumstances.
  • Improved number formatting for broadcasted King sales.
  • Many furniture, walls and floors will be marked as “New!” upon login. Simply scroll through them to clear away this notification (this is the result of some change on how we track new items).

Balance Changes
  • Added Water affinity to the Seltzer Surprise herbal medicine. Pshh pshh.
  • After seeing the change to equipment break in the last update, Rudo hit the gym (even more). His Champion skill now lasts 1 round longer at every tier.
  • Mega Packs will now offer their Tier 11 blueprint to players who own at least one standard Tier 9 blueprint. Standard in this case refers to blueprints that require research scrolls to unlock. This replaces the level requirement.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed wonky Familiar sorting when equipping Champions.
  • Fixed familiars displaying disproportionally large visual effects during combat.
  • Fixed an issue with customers sometimes asking for locked Familiars.
  • Fixed users still seeing worker offers that were bought as Black Friday specials.
  • Increased Opulent Element’s ascension costs (was lower than intended).
  • Fixed Momo’s House being covered in snow despite being indoors.
  • Fixed an animation issue where customers would sometimes slide around instead of walking properly.
  • Fixed animations for female staff wielders.
  • Fixed an occasional disconnection issue when equipping Heroes.
  • Fixed occasional blurry item models in the collection book.
  • Fixed item description of the Scorpio for non-English languages.
  • Fixed some misc. item drops counting for the sake of “Gather Components” content pass tasks.
  • Fixed Champion stats not displaying correctly when receiving seeds.
  • Fixed Titan Soul ignoring inventory sorting.
  • Fixed red notification being absent from Accessories tab in Avatar Editor after purchasing an accessory from the Antique Store.
