It's time for our traditional meet-up. Have you missed us? We had a very busy week - we fixed the bugs you reported, worked a lot on the introduction of new animations and finished new ones.
Before we start, we’d like to remind you that there’s an Easter hunt for Mortis’ spell going on in our social networks - you still have time to participate and get a free copy of Knock On The Coffin Lid!
Well, now we're hitting the road again, because we've already heard another knock!
Swamp life forms
You’re already familiar with the mosquitoes; they have extremely unpleasant personalities. But what about toads? Ours turned out to be very cute! This event also features a guest from Asia. Write in the comments if you’ve found the cicada!
Very soon, this event will be passed into the hands of our animators, and the swamps will come to life! For those who want to use our cute toads as their userpics, here they are:
At the crossroads
This crossroads is already fully animated and is on its way to be integrated into the game. Wow, choosing a road at such an intersection is especially unpleasant - the results of turning left or right can be exactly the same. And no one wants to start the journey anew, right?
⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
It seems that this is the last phase
The goggle-eyed and thrifty Sigismund escaped from our animators again to show off his movements. It's good that we’re very close to locking him up in the castle to wait for your game runs.
⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
Some more icon animations
For now, our programmers won’t let us even peek at what they’re doing there in their secret little offices. They only tease us with stories. So we go into their animation files and steal the latest developments, all of this being done to the sound of Sigismund’s evil laughter.
The icon effects are turning out great, and this haughty guy below does a great job as a model for them. We still need a long time to animate the icon effects. We have over a hundred statuses and intentions, so support our animators in the comments with kind words, as they put their all into this work!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That's it for today! Don’t forget to go to our Discord to communicate with us, read the news in our social networks and pop in to get your next quest!
A lot of interesting things happened this week – for example, an update was released where we added a lot of new animations, fixed some events and items, as well as introduced the new karma display and much more. You can read more in this post here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1232580/view/6383330087933065264
In honor of Easter
To begin with, let's prepare for the upcoming holidays - Easter is coming, and we’ve prepared a small interactive event for you. In our social networks, Mortis has hidden a spell that will help you defeat Sigismund. He divided it into separate words. If you collect all 9 parts, you will be able to defeat the corrupt monarch and at the same time get a game key!
On April 9, we’ll post a document where you can write down the spell and receive your prize in exchange. So here’s the Easter hunt we’ve come up with for you – a hunt with Mortis!
Well, there’s still enough work ahead, although we’re at the final stage of polishing the game and we are busy with something secret too (you’ll like it, we promise!)
Animations, animations, animations
Sigismund and the Cultist continue evolving under the steady hand of our animation department. They both have acquired yet another form and are ready to scare us and take away our health points.
For example, Sigismund has very sharp eyes in his diabolical form. It’s impossible to avoid or hide from him. All one can do is… attack with all their might!
⠀
This Cultist lived near water for so long that he grew tentacles. Trypophobes had best not look at him – our artists tried their best while designing him! However, the cannibals among the cultists would definitely sell their souls once again for “seafood cocktail” like him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even little icons need animations!
Our artists haven’t been working hard on the icons for so long in vain, as now they’re almost ready to appear in the game in all their glory. But we'll leave that for future updates, as work on them is in full swing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Special cards for special madams and sirs
While we were visiting different locations, one of our artists slipped away from us and drew some more card art. What specific cards do you think these pictures are for? Write your guesses in the comments!
⠀⠀⠀⠀
That's it for today. Thank you for staying with us on this long and thrilling journey.
Don't forget about hunting with Mortis, come chat in our social networks, and see you in the next diary!

We hope that your week was as productive as ours. We released another video diary, so if you missed it, it’s already available here. And don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel to follow the updates!
Spring has almost come into full force. We are sure that many of you have already switched from your winter shoes to something more suitable for traveling through puddles. That will be very handy, as we’ll be returning to the creepy swamps of ours. Try not to fall into the quick mud. It's time to hit the road!
Subduing swampy landscapes
While our technical department’s current work is marked as "Secret", our artists have taken up work polishing some swamp landscapes. We think that everything is turning out rather well and has a nice threatening atmosphere – these swampy waters are best avoided, don’t you think? Because we know, don’t we, where zombies are apt to crawl out of…
An abandoned village can also give you the creeps. But who are we to refuse to travel through abandoned places, right? A place like that is sure to hide within itself a lot of secrets ... as well as treasures!
The cultist who knew too much…
... absolutely doesn’t want to let us go with all that knowledge! Just look at the new tricks he learned to surprise us during the battle. You can't give up, you have to give this gentleman a battle, otherwise the scales may tip to the wrong side.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Karma bites
By the way, do you remember how not so long ago we told you that we were remaking the karma display? We managed to wrangle up several animations of the process from our animators' desktop. Which snake will you root for during the game?
⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
What's in Sigismund's box?
Those who often play for Persival’s Gold Digger know how annoying Sigismund can be. He constantly tries to put his hand in your pocket and replenish his treasury. Even though the animations are really good, don't get distracted and don't allow him to fleece you. It might cost you your life and a successful walkthrough!
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
Each hero has their own way
Persival, Bjorn and Vanadis have completely different approaches to achieving their goals. And each of them deserves a fitting final to their story. In addition to the endings for the event lines, our artists are developing personal endings for each of the characters. While we continue to make our way out of the swamps, some of Bjorn’s many endings are already being drawn!
Well, that's it for today! Don't forget to subscribe to our social networks and feel free to ask any questions you might have about our game – we’re always happy to interact with you.
How was your week? We've had very eventful days, so we can't wait to tell you about everything. Prepare your potion vials, because we're setting off!
Traveler’s first-aid kit
All sorts of things can happen on the road – first you don’t have enough energy, then strength, now health. You rummage through your pockets, and all you find are empty bottles. What do you do now? Don’t you worry! A traveling merchant who you’ll meet on your way can offer you a wide choice of different potions. Don’t be stingy with the gold, and one of these elixirs could save your life!
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the bandit camp
But one thing that the potions won't save you from is bandits. One careless word – and you’ll get cleaned out. That is, if you're lucky. If you’re not, you might even get into a fight! Just take a look at these fighters sitting around the campfire.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
The flip side of success
In the last diary we showed you Sigismund's new movements. This week our animators have been working on his dark side. Wearing a crown comes with a price, and Sigismund definitely didn't become more attractive after associating with demonic forces. But that won't stop him from moving stylishly in the second phase of the battle, will it?
⠀
⠀
The endings and the incredible return of the icons
So many different endings of the stories are waiting for you! Our artists still have a lot of work to do, as each ending is unique and requires special attention.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's good that there’s always something to distract oneself. To take a break, our artists sometimes divert their attention to polishing the upgrade icons. There aren’t that many of them, but they’re turning out simply wonderful.
And that's far from everything that we've been working on all week. There are still a lot of interesting and incredible things ahead of us, and when the time comes, you’ll be the first to know about them.
Don’t forget to visit our social networks so that you can interact with us and with other players, too.
We’re glad to see you again in our Friday diary. We hope your week has been as eventful as ours.
We had time to congratulate our dear ladies on March 8 and also worked hard on events and animations.
Well, it's time to dive back into development. Put on the invulnerability armor and grab the firebrothers’ maces – it’s time to hit the road!
Tumbleweeds, tumbleweeds, who knows what you’ll get?
We bet it's become much easier to be in the swamps lately, and now you almost don't want to go to the steppes… Unless you're hunting tumbleweeds! These plants often have something interesting stuck in them. Who knows what you will find? Surely it’s something valuable or at least useful. But only the inhabitants of the steppes can tell you about it more precisely!
Quality vacation with friends
What could be better than meeting up with your friends at a tavern after a hard week's journey, right? That girl at the window seems to be winking at you. Maybe you should ask for the number of her carrier pigeon… Or receive another quest with unbelievable consequences!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hey, where am I being dragged?!
They say that if you get into a sticky wicket, you can end up in a completely unexpected place. This way of traveling is risky, and such tours can cost you all your gold, but if you really want that adrenaline rush, jump into the box below. It’s possible your end point will turn out to be the beginning of a new adventure!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These graves are quiet… as the grave!
Adventurers all have different quests. Sometimes you need to find a special item, sometimes you negotiate with a troll, but today we’ve ended up in this old cemetery and have to deal with the locals. Here they are, by the way. The crows around here support the ambience as well as make sure that we don't misbehave!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At Sigismund’s house
Everything is as usual in the castle – you lock horns with the guards over an audience with our best enemy, catch one debuff after another. But now you can also watch Sigismund with great interest while he ponders how to hit you harder!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Of course, this isn’t everything that we did this week. We continue fixing bugs, finishing the storyline, and working on the most important thing – the epic finale of our game.
Don't forget to visit our social networks and support us with likes. We’re happy to answer all of your questions and solve any problems related to our game.
We’ve come back after a short break with an update and lots of development news. If you haven't updated the game yet and don't know what's new in our patch, read this small note here and then go ahead and play!
In the meantime, we'll tell you what has appeared in our inventory, so clean your crow’s beak, stroke your honey badgers and let's go!
Map events galore!
There are so many events that we can’t help but tell you about all of them! A real struggle has broken out in the goblin and orc territories. One after another, the events have received updated art. This respected gentleman is already waiting for us to pay a visit to him – you can’t refuse such a noble person!
This little goblin below has wandered into a foreign territory. We showed you the process of creating this image not so long ago. Today it’s waiting for its turn to be animated. It seems that we’ll see more than one unexpected alliance on the way to the city.
Not a day without animations
With the latest update, we've added a lot of new enemy animations to make moving around the maps more fun. But the work doesn’t end there – there are still many opponents who need to be animated. You’ll come across them in regular runs, and the elite bosses will tickle your senses with their fancy effects.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
This elf seems to be skilled with all kinds of weapons. His sword looks pretty sharp, doesn’t it? You wouldn’t want to end up on the end of it, would you? How many arrows can you count in his quiver?
⠀⠀
We recently showed you this cheerful shaman with some special techniques. He seems to have gotten better at them since we last met. You definitely don’t want to mess with him now!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
We are also remaking the glossary and finishing the karma display system. These new features will appear in the game very soon, along with a great many endings for event branches. Here is some final art for them.
That's it for today. Don’t forget to visit our social networks, where we communicate with you and read your suggestions for improving our game.
